I'd take your point b_j, except if you saw the text of my email to KNAC I think you'd agree that it was in no shape or from "pestering", and I don't think that in a million years they would interpret it as such. For better or worse, I have a lifetime's experience in drafting correspondence which has to be at the same time purposeful and diplomatic.

Indeed, cj. It is all a bit mystifying. Not least, why KNAC are having a three-month break from Native Title negotiation. Hence my email to them, asking for any information that they are able to give which doesn't break confidentiality. Of course, if there is no-one charged with Native Title work at present, I may not get a reply to even a generalised enquiry.

Can I draw folks' attention to the post I made at 17.39 on Friday, which may have got overlooked after the lengthy thread with Islandgirl.

Unless a Native Title Agreement was signed with KNAC by December (in which case, surely we would have heard by now), then seemingly nothing significant can happen on permissions until sometime after the beginning of March. Just when after the beginning of March remains to be seen, so it's just a matter of continuing to be patient.

Within the strict constraints of confidentiality, I am trying to ascertain from KNAC more or less where in the queue IOCA sits once they resume Native Title work in March. So far I have had no response, and it may well be that confidentiality precludes even generalised information like this.

You are right, Awp. There would be so much more camaraderie and honesty if these boards were similar to Facebook, where you could know what sort of real-live person you were dealing with. When I first got involved with AIm, 12 years and more ago I was totally naive, and never envisaged that there could be such things as people actually paid to ramp or deramp.

Are Islandgirl's posts legit? (S)he posts these unexplained one-line links very frequently, almost daily. In this day and age, I'm a bit cautious about clicking on links like this. Are they just a bit of harmless fun?

KNAC's 'Calendar' on its website is a little bit more explicit now. It says "A reminder to our stakeholders that KNAC will not be participating in any Heritage services activity, Native Title meetings or external committees between December and February. As previously advised, these activities are scheduled from March 2023".

On the previous version it just said "Heritage services activity". It's now more specific by adding "Native Title meetings". Since it's the Native Title we are waiting for, I guess we will have to be patient for a wee while yet. I presume that if our case had been signed off before the start of the December break, we'd have heard by now.

Not a great worry in the whole scheme of things, just a cause for a bit more patience.

My thanks for your apology, carpfisher. I think you may subliminally have absorbed the presence of SGZ on here over the past week because I myself have mentioned it several times, but in a completely different context to today's share price. I've used it as an example of how extreme patience is required in the case of AIM explorers, and hope that some folk can apply this lesson to where we are with UFO. In SGZ's case, as I've mentioned in my previous posts, the patience was needed for 10 years. Which may be a bit extreme, and probably more for the likes of squirrels and other creatures who like to hibernate :).

After an absence of over two years I am back in here in a very tiny way. SGZ has always felt like my "spiritual home", and I have missed the frustrating adventure many of us set out on in 2010 or so. Hopefully, another 12 years might bring some reward, LOL.

Aww, 5x5, as awp says, "respect". I WISH I didn't have a mobile phone. Which is ironic, since I was one of the first people in my workplace and social circle to have one, a Sony analogue, back in 1993. Unfortunately, we are becoming more and more the slaves of what ought to be nothing more than an appliance. It really quite annoys me how more and more organisations by the day are driving us to have to make contact "via the App" or not at all. No postal address, no phone number, not even an email address, just "the App".

I dread to think, uktrader6. It does seem to be the case that for every well-mannered and friendly board there are at least 10 which are vicious and thoroughly unpleasant places to be.

What an acrimonious board this can be at times. I've mentioned before my long-term history with SGZ. Norm mentioned people getting caught on spikes. I - and a lot of other people - did with SGZ in c.2010. We bought in at the equivalent (allowing for subsequent consolidation) of £6 a share, and then spent the next ten years watching a steady slide to 25p by 2020ish. But in all those years the board - with us LTHs and sufferers supplemented by new folk coming along - was a place of great harmony, in fact, many of us said, camaraderie. Even our resident cynic was regarded with something approaching affection. Many years ago I experienced exactly the same phenomenon on the board of a long-forgotten company called Pan Pacific Aggregates, where again each and every participant genuinely helped the others with their varying skills and abilities at research (all to no avail, LOL). It is an atmosphere which makes being a member of board a pleasure, through all the months and years of thick and thin. Mainly thin. Sadly, it does not apply to this board.

I would think it would have to be done on a first come basis, smiller. Otherwise the authorities would lay themselves open to all sorts of charges of unethical behaviour.

Yes, smiller, and of course what is quite frustrating is not just having no control, but actually having no idea. No idea, for example, whether mining applications are dealt with every alternate Thursday by some harassed young official who has to fit them in with 1000 other duties. It's not so much like being in a railway tunnel, but like one of those built with a curve, so you've no idea whether you'll emerge into stunning sunlight within the next few seconds, or face several more miles of tunnel.

I don't know if 2.7p is what people mean when they talk about "going to the moon". I suppose we all have different aspirations, expectations and needs. But, speaking for myself, I'd be very happy indeed if we got to 2.7p by the end of 2024 or, failing that, Qs1/2 2025. I may be adding a few more in between now and then. GLA
