I found £5k tucked down the sofa and was trying to figure when to throw it at AVCT. I could have got 122p (to buy) but thought 120p sounded better. then it went 124p anyway when I went to pull the trigger the spread was 3p and I had to pay 126p.
And in the bigger picture what on earth does 2,3 5p difference per share make.
Anyway this is strictly between me and you lot , Mrs W must not know... Mums the word....

HD, what if you were a buyer in the fist hour today, you could got have got a sub 120's purchase?
What if you were a buyer in the last hour yesterday, you would have at the moment, about a 10% loss?

I have posted before, none of us here will ever, ever get in front of "breaking" news or an SP rise. The market will always know before PI's. And that's fair because its their job. We don't talk to the people they do. They have AS's direct ear. Of course they will know and act on that info first. But that's Ok. (how else could it work?)

There are times when I think I should do this for a living....
I'll eat my hat even if I have to buy one after lockdown ends, if an RNS does not come out tomorrow.
My (imaginary) money is on BAMS validation, which will have further covid implications, I think that we are not aware of.
I say imaginary as I have no money left to buy any more with (and that's saying something as Mrs W will testify too....I better be right... yikes!)

I think an RNS is nailed on but obviously it needs to be AVCT. Its natural to be excited and concerned at the same time, given we have had a few hopes dashed, however there is a lot of milestones due this Quarter so it is reasonable to think this time it is AVCT, plus a 25% rise in a day is more likely to be on the back of a AVCT leak than just a general Covid announcement of the type that has led to the speculative "is it Us?" sleuthing that ultimately has led to "no, its not us"
Anyway. we will find out very shortly

It feels genuine so there should be more FOMO as we count down but as we all have seen and experienced, take nothing for granted

The SP albeit at a low price is attracting some support particularly today. More news of Vaccines, and better then ever apparently, is not having the morale-sapping, stock selling effect one would expect.
Given I put a lot of store in SP movements (because I believe it reflects peoples view of the stock rather than the company fundamentals), suggests to me good news is coming. (I would not go as far as to say sooner than we think because we would have to have invented time-travel and that news would have been released 4 months ago), I digress...
Clearly its not just us devotees who think there is going to be some bloody transformational news shortly, (damn I did not want use that word...imminently, no... soon.no.... tomorrow. Yes, Tomorrow, that will do, that one has not been used. What could possibly go wrong...7

Just thought I would chip in:
looking encouraging I think. Over the last week it spiked to 3.9p and this week it has had numerous rises to 3.88/3.9 before falling back.
However this morning it rose to 4.1p before falling back to...3.9 and again has risen to 41. so albeit short term, an example of a resistance (3.9p) transforming to a support when breached.
It makes the assault on 425p much closer now which would be very bullish for future gains.
Just have to see if this present rise holds. GLA

Morning all, another 300 posts loom which will give us another opportunity to vent our collective frustration.
Given I cannot give anything to this board that will cheers us up, that being only in the gift of AVCT, I decided to look back at the RNS's they have issued.
I recommend it.
Only because, it seems inconceivable that anything is wrong based on them.
Collaborations with manufacturing partners, new senior staff taken on with a view to an expanded business, new tests and partnerships with other companies, staff option schemes.
Every one points a flashing arrow pointing to a much larger company than presently exists bases on the new tech working.
Then re-read and listen to the presentation, the Q&A, & the share magazine interview and the recent Tweets. This only confirms the above.
When the news comes in it really will be a case of "what more could AVCT have told us on the run to confirmation?"
The latest info from AVCT was that all will be revealed during Q4.
We are still in Q4, therefore there has been no let down to investors from AVCT.
Imo, the present SP reflects now the absence of what I would term "hot money". Every stock has this element to it, but its disproportionate here in AVCT. The vaccine confirmed to this element of Share holders that there was money to be made elsewhere, (such as say, I dunno Airline stocks), but take your pick because there has been a sizable rally in all sorts of other stocks.
We, however have decided to forgo these returns (Rats!) on the basis we think returns here will dwarf 20-50% increase elsewhere. Obviously we think we are right or we would have sold too.
So, the SP seems to be where it is based on people who are not likely to sell now in any event. The SP will be dull maybe moving a few p in either direction or even a bit lower has some investors perhaps are leeched away through boredom.
But as I said up top, re-read the info available from the Horses Mouth and maybe it will remind you of why you are here.

Happy Days, I think that might be true for the covid test but Bams?
Said it would be a few weeks based on their own resources getting it validated, I'm not sure what a few weeks is but I would suggest 3-6? I think this is week 8 and nothing. For instance I think the term "1-2 months" would be construed as longer than "a few weeks" but we are about to go into month 3.
I have emailed AVCT for some clarification but I am not hopeful of an answer. I am not asking AVCT for anything other than a timeline update based on what they themselves told investors in the presentation.
