I think you are right Bouncer, I am guessing the Stamp Duty "holiday" will be extended when Rishi tells us whats next, plus it looks like holidays are going to be forestalled again, and although it is unlikely to be as severe as last summer's cancellations there could be at least some holiday funds re-directed into Eve products?

we are in the choppy waters now of the mid 130's. The rapid rise once 123p was broken was always most likely. On the upside
140p did prove to be a stern resistance level previously but has been superseded so I think 162p is the next target. (it may mess about around 140p but I think it would be short lived if happens at all.0
On the downside it may fall back to 123p to test it as a support but I think this is unlikely due to the rapid move away from 123p this morning.
I would be happy to see a close 136p or above to put 162p as a target into play.

ZZT, that's called a "lagging indicator" and doesn't help you get in before the price move, which, trying to get in before rather than after, is the whole point of charting

Again just my opinion but I am not a great fan of moving averages. There are quite a few false break outs and the thing about charting it is an historical look at prices. (However its very much each to his own and lots swear by them). The key is to know when that historical pattern will repeat itself in the future.
There are many indicators available to use in conjunction with the actual price pattern to help narrow the odds of what will most likely happen next.

Well done D, I think France was targeted originally as a very important, potential, market for EVE and even with all the past years turbulence, have tried to keep at least a foothold there, which it seems is paying off. This is one of the main reasons I thought the risk was worth taking: Eve, to make headway, even survive, was going to have to do more than compete in a very competitive domestic market and I have hoped that France would not be sacrificed to cost cutting. Well, it looks like that resolve might pay off. Lets hope so. Happy New Year!

Well, 2500p (give or take) has been a barrier for a long time and it looks to now be a support instead of a resistance.
The good news , if it sticks (and I think it will) is that 3200p is next! which is 25% from here, which won't be the worst return in the world!

seems to be a big majority of blue trades this morning. As there is no move in the SP it lloks like the MM's have enough stock to satisfy demand. I would suspect they don't hold that much so if the buying continues, they are going to have to raise the spread to encourage sellers and deter buyers.
......on the other hand today is a notoriously slow day in the market........

Well, It had better be I think. Delays have been caused by covid, hopefully the end is in sight on that one. (I know infections are up but vaccines are being released and many companies have adjusted to accommodate the new conditions already).
So this should be the year when we get a clear indication of the uptake of the tech.
I hope it goes well for those that have hung on but also for all the people as XSG, because it must have been very difficult for them too.

D!! (Merry Christmas) Don't tell me you are being sucked into the murky and (some would say) disreputable world of....trading!

Back on the 4th Dec I posted "The SP just needs a little push to clear 4.8p as it making a double top pattern and finishing above that will destroy it. (its not a big deal as the SP would have to fall below 4.4p for it to "trigger" more falls and confirm a DT. I only mention because its there at the moment)"
As it turned out it did fall below 4.4p (the Double top rule being it will fall at least the amount between top and bottom of the pattern, which in this case was 4.8p top and 4.4p bottom meaning a further minimum fall of at least .4p, or an SP of 4p.)
It actually fell to 3.8p before rising to 4.35p and then falling back to the most recent low of 4.3p so it needed to break above 4.35p to break the downward trend.
Currently the SP is 4.7p so it looks like further gains with a 4.3p ish support line. (4.25p-4.35p has been a support /resistance level a few times.)
However a break above the previous DT of 4.8p would be very welcome and then push that 4.8p as a support level. (this looks most likely to me. )
Here's where it gets good (imo) 4.8-5.0p looks to be a fairly strong resistance level, break that and it goes to the 6.4p (recent) high. The RSI indicator is around 62 which leaves ample room for further highs to be achieved without suggesting an imminent pullback.
So the initial upside is 6.4p (35% from here) with currently a downside at 4.3 (10%) giving a risk reward ration of 3.5 to 1. (I like anything above 3)
My "feel" for this is that we will be above 5.0p maybe even close to 6.4p prior to results day. If, and its a big if right now, but if we go beyond 6.4p then next is somewhere between 8.5p-9.5p but that's an old level and may not be so relevant. as always just my opinion and there is always the danger of seeing what you want to see.

Hi Raz, I don't know but this is the problem with online "independent" forums. Its very hard to know if it is genuine or simply malicious. I don't think the market pays that much, if any, attention. Its the bottom line that counts. Compound's brief (and fwiw, I think accurate) analysis is what will determine the SP. And it looks like buyers are starting to come in before the official verdict because they agree too.

I think you are right Dad, demand for new mattresses (all brands) apparently is still at record levels according to my pal (lets not go there, again....), I think there is going to be a more positive reaction to the end of year and the treading water regards the SP will finish and a new level will be found. I am thinking between 7p-9p (Well, I hope so as I have just found some new funds and topped up further!)

PurpleP, really, I mean really! I like to watch a fire burn rather than put it out? Merry Christmas and thanks very much for your character reference. That was a pretty mean thing to say. I honestly don't care personally what people resort to saying about me. I am not remotely delicate in that respect, but you should read back some of the comments made about individuals simply expressing a reasoned view point.
Apparently we are in a field of one or maybe 2? for this new tender and the SP falls 6% and all you get on this board for highlighting the very obvious disconnect between the two outcomes is to be told everyone knows how high risk this stock is. (, well someone needs to tell quite a few posters here how high risk this is because you would not know it from the time I started reading the BB back in June).
Just read how indulgent you all are to AP for posting his opinions that are out and out financially & irresponsibly dangerous.
But as always if you all know how high risk this has become, and how tedious it is to be reminded of this then bear in mind it is as equally tedious to read of how AVCT cannot fail in everyone of its endeavours.

Neut, I'm sorry but you are simply not allowed to highlight the risks involved in this company on this board. I get criticised for trying to highlight that this is an increasingly high risk investment now. I knew no one could answer the questions I posed yesterday, that was the point. Most posters seem to assume this is a slam dunk of a share. That the test is coming and that it will be the best. But in fact there is no basis for that. (it may turn out to be true, but it may not). The facts are that it is very late, so why "assume" its coming at all? (Before anybody says anything I would just Saliva test?)
Apparently trying to discern risk and put a value on that risk is considered by some to be pointless and that I should assume a Zen like quality on this stock. For Goodness sake, the idea is to make money not have to adopt an eastern philosophy.
My position is clear, (and bought a further 3 tranches of stock just prior to Xmas, based on the chart), with a mid Jan timeline to support that decision. Today just continually confirms that the market is very nervous of this stock and is desperate for verifiable finance-generating news. Today so far has not been such a day, in fact the opposite.
