I bought a tranche just now as I think its about to break upwards. (certainly I think it more likely than not that it will be the subject of interest for an ISA stock, which given the sticky fingers here now, suggests that com April the 6th there could be greater demand than supply which should propel the SP to new highs I think.

All of the recent posts below are highlighting potential headwinds for BH to overcome but at the end of it all, this is a commodity business.

There is no IP involved, its not that clever technology, yes they have had a head start and anyone who bought in the early days sub 50p has done very well but it does not follow at all, that this business model, with this type of product, has a 20 year life span in it let alone the multiples being bandied about.

PP highlights the problem is trying to discern the next 100 bagger. You simply can't project 20 years into the future. Are returns a problem? who knows, online shopping is only just strating, there will be unforeseen consequences on all sorts of things and of course, fashions change. Materials change.

The fashion might be for durable, long lasting clothes. Maybe "going out" will transform into you having your own Avatar and you never leave your house and fashion clothes will be a thing of the past as you save the planet from all those deliveries and returns and landfill and "wasted" money etc etc etc.

Who knows, but looking forward 20 years is ridiculous other than just for a fun conversation of how the world might look then.

JV, that's kind of what I thought, but why would AS say on the 24th feb, that its 2-3 weeks away? Its such a short timescale as to be not so much out on, but you would have thought at that time he would have known if BAMS was dead in the water covid-wise, therefore why make the time forecast?

Did he really think, that 3 weeks ago positive news was imminent, only to find out the govt has effectively cancelled it? (On the other hand maybe its this new tech that has caught AVCT out at the last hurdle?)

I get confused: This new technology "genotype assay testing" is not possibly BAMS by another name?

I only ask because its labelled as new tech and I thought BAMS kind of did this sort of thing or should I just cut down, (or indeed increase), my medication?

Are returns an issue?

There is an article on the BBC website that says there are 5 returns for every 1 item bought and this mindset is now working in the older age groups as well, who are becoming more use to ordering clothes online

Hmm... Its still quite high risk in my view, which is why 1, the current valuation is so low, and 2, if EVE do pull it off why there will be an explosive upward SP reaction.

I think D mentioned in the presentation that one of the directors said EVE could be profitable now but they have decided to invest further now for better returns. Which sounds good, but halving the cash in the bank for almost 2 years out in a profit forecast, does not quite add up to me.

I don't know, its still tricky, we all do our own research as best we can and make our decisions accordingly.

D: is that another £2.8m on top in 2021 of the £2m loss on 2020, or are they forecasting just a loss of £.8m for 2021?

This is the problem with EVE, the upside is about having a good brand that will be profitable and has £8m in the bank. This makes the current valuation very low.

The downside is that this is not a profitable company and that by EVE's admission they expect to use some of that £8m to develop the French market.

So now 12 months on they have £6m in the bank say, and are still not profitable (EVE have said at the end of 2022 they expect to be profitable).
That then begs the question, how much more money will be spent between months 12-24? Could that £6m end up being £4m? And if it take £-2-4m to generate the extra sales to eventually become profitable at the end of 2022, what's to say reducing that expenditure won't then result in lower sales?

Its a bit of a conundrum and EVE are looking a long way ahead so these are by no means "fixed2 forecasts.

That's why there has to be doubt still over the stock I think, and why I can't see much movement in the SP unless some new news breaks to change the dynamics.

I don't know Danny, but given that's roughly a 50% increase from here, what make you think it will?

just in case anyone is taken in by PP's constant ravings bear in mind this great ownership that is the driving force of the stock will be in their 80's in 20 years time.

its not unreasonable to think they will retire any time now or in the next few years, given that they are approaching their 60's, particularly with all the constant bad publicity they keep getting. (who needs that?)

So, you have trust that who ever they pass the baton too will have the same ethics and driving force to take the company forward. Good luck

The SP seems to have levelled out now pending further news but I have been puzzled as to why BAMS is well overdue AS's own forecast on the 24th of feb (2-3 weeks) and its nearly 4 weeks now, which is very odd.

Maybe BAMS will be used in conjunction with the AVCT test and it will be a "complete solution", so the BAMS announcement is being held up on the LFT CE/CV?

(That's the only positive spin I can think other than AS has a pretty warped sense of humour aimed at us PI's.)

Odd response Momoni, You have asked me my opinion previously and I have answered in good faith and now you want to block me?

Do what you like of course, but I would suggest my analysis prior to the results was reasonably accurate (while admitting it was a tricky call to see where the SP would go).

Always remember, nothing posted on these BB's has any effect of the SP so don't fret. (and if you really did think posters here could influence the SP then it would be 10p already!!)

its not nice behaviour PP to invest in a company making money out of slave labour, but we will gloss over that because they are building a new factory in Leicester, so all good.

AVCT is a better bet for capital appreciation than Boohoo. it has already more than doubled since January and looks to have almost unlimited potential over the next 5 years.

But you know, hey of all the 100'and 100's of companies, there is just Boo Hoo that is worth investing in to give the best returns although the last 4 years have been at best very disappointing. Still, what's a few years when trying to get rich slowly, I mean there is slowly and then there's boohoo
