DGU, If I had to gue4ss I'd say its costing them about £1 more to produce the mattress above what they sell it for.
This has always been the "black hole" And its the one bit that never gets broken down in results.
EVE will tell you they are profitable, not counting overheads, but never say quite what the "overheads" are in any detail.
But it comes across as very marginal. (And I think it is for what its worth it probably is), but I think as they plug one part of the hole so another springs up, like logistics, or wages, or staff shortages, or inflation, or stock uncertainty.
Right now they seem to be slipping back a bit when they needed to be going forward a bit. Just my opinion.
