what the other side of the coin is saying is that apart from Polygon, there are very few if any new buyers out there. Those who are in, have loaded up already so there is no demand to support the SP when there are sellers, which forces bigger falls then perhaps we all expect and allows Polygon to get in at their allotted price. Luke, its "priced in" on the basis that its a first step in the trial process which could still fail. The company is loosing £Millions every year and yet is valued at over £200m. So there is future expectation to some degree already priced in.

Well, I guess that's one idea but more likely, rather than artificially depressing the SP by increasing their own risk, they probably increased their short because they expect the SP to fall.

Hunky, I don't think it a nervous thing. The RNS yesterday keeps AVCT on track and de-risks the tech that bit more.

How much is in the bank? what is cash burn? is the LFT "pause" to be lifted anytime soon? Will there need to be a cash raise or will there be enough income to sustain the business without one?

That info will presumably come in the update, But when even, is that?

I thought yesterday after the news that the SP would continue its climb through the day and the impetus would carry on into this morning and some real momentum might start to be generated, which is why i bought more yesterday

That has not happened, therefore I am re-calibrating my expectations taking into account what we know, and we know there are shorters out there that have done very well and still don't want to close it out.

By all means stick your head in the sand and come back in 2 years but in the meantime I will endeavour to try and make some money out of the ups and downs in the meantime.

Quite why you get so agitated when people change their views based on changing info is beyond me.

Well, the shorts still seem not to want to close.

So, my interpretation is they expect a cash raise to depress the price next.

The first step in the trial has been successfully completed and the SP is 87p. So rather than pushing on from yesterday it has so far gone backwards.

So not perhaps the biggest bounce in the SP we wanted and certainly nothing to worry the shorts out there.

The only thing that will get the shorts out is a fast rising SP and that does not now look likely over the next few months unless there is news of a Nasdaq listing (which is a bit fanciful in that timeframe i(mo), or maybe talk of a takeover, and again I think its too early in the trial for that to really take hold.

You care about the company. I care about the SP.

Up until yesterday there were signs and indications that the trial was going ok and it was confirmed yesterday. Great. However until there is a successful completion of these trials the company remains pretty high risk.

Don't get on your high horse how fantastic AVCT is when we have had all the slam dunk, de-risked LFT progress only after 2 years nearly for it to have cost millions and no sales available. Nothing is a given in this area of research. Thats the nature of the beast.

If, as a counter argument to your pious "the company you 'watch', 'trade' but never invest in, " it was to fail, what then? still want to trumpet how much money you lost but thats ok, because it was a noble cause?

You realise none of your share purchases ever went to AVCT, you realise when you sell, none of the profit will go to AVCT. It will go all to you. You are a parasite (just like the rest of us), trying to profit on the backs of the hard work and expertise of the AVCT workforce.

If you are so in love with AVCT then sell your shares and donate the proceeds to them in a bank transfer, otherwise grow up.

Dave, I don't know quite how good today was in the grand scheme of what further trials need take place from here, but the SP would get a further (I think dramatic) lift if this is significant enough for a mention in MSM and AVCT start to gain a bit more general recognition.

I agree RD, I can't see any reason why they would not close out. If its done on Algo's then maybe the daily move will be not be enough to trigger it?

Certainly I don't think the wider market has absorbed what this means yet.

I have thought on about 3 or 4 previous occasions maybe the short was closing( so what do i know!) but this is on actual news (rather than rumour or ramp) and the market has been very orderly for such potentially big news as well, which maybe points to a more structured short close?

Well, they have already won, and they are not reptiles, they simply took a different view to you and believed the SP would fall and they were correct.

The stock has lost 10% this week and at the same time, every day increases the chances that the good news will drop so the reverse of FOMO is happening.

FWIW today might, might, be some hot money here going to AVCT as they have had a very good update and the price although up ,indicates the general market has not quite absorbed the significance. Maybe...
