Charts are a funny thing but it has closed tonight, according to HL, at 13.5p which is also a support from last year. This minor retrace has also unwound the technically overbought situation that had developed after the recent rises.

There are always 2 options: the SP can rise or fall.

If it falls the next support is around 12.4/12.5p but if as we all hope, it bounces off the present support, then a close above 14.1p is required to put the 14,75p resistance level in play.

Not clear to me which way it will go but it is (as I thought it might), turning out to be a bit choppy.

Certainly if one is bullish this, from a chart perspective, is a good entry or top up point.

(just my opinion DYOR etc etc)

Prof, the Boo short close was on the back of a positive RNS from Boo today, so it might be that AVCT will react the same way assuming we get a positive results/news RNS?

In which case we are still a few weeks away maybe?

I think it will stay pretty choppy for a day or two at least. Typically, chart wise its close to a resistance point (14.75p) and also entering overbought territory so it will need a bit of unwinding.

It will be interesting to see where this closes on friday.

But how is it to do with AVCT.

Maybe it is? All I did was ask why a person who has at least 2 roles, does something on what seems to be unrelated to AVCT is in fact related to AVCT?

Anyway, as always, it generates more posts to imagine a subplot rather than just answer a perfectly straightforward question.

I simply responded to a post that had someone on an AVCT advisory board doing something else for a company with no link to AVCT. Like a part time company director for a bank also being a part time director on a food company, and asking what the relevance was.

Everything here now has a sub plot apparently.

Positive Assumptions are routinely made and and no alternative is to be considered.

I think your conclusion makes a lot of sense CI. The problem I have is what difference will the extra money make?

It has to be a greater push on marketing given I am assuming there are no more cost savings in production and overheads.

That has been the problem previously, the more you spend on marketing the more sales you get. The moment you stop advertising then sales fall.

Where or what is the silver bullet that breaks through that gravity pull? and at what cost?

I honestly think you should consider selling EVE.

The Company is struggling to turn a profit just at a time of big increases in production costs and more likely to come which is going to coincide with a big squeeze on disposable income as well.

You won't let go of the absolutely non-sensical idea of a share buy back although it has been explained to you how pointless and counter productive it would be on a cash poor company that is not making any money.

They are competing in an extremely competitive market where price points are clearly key forcing the company to continually discount its product.

Its a very high risk stock, I stress the "very" bit now because of the changed market condition of only less than 6 months ago.

It has struggled to find a profitable niche since it was floated years ago, spent £m's trying and still is not there yet.

You seem very concerned about the company and how its run but at the same time have great confidence in the company (and presumably how its run).

Your posts (to me) come across as someone who is very emotionally invested in EVE to the point of distraction which might hamper rational thought.

Hi Surfie, in terms of frustration this is the top stock I have every bought and sold.

So many false spikes.

Its only when you apply hindsight that the picture is clear(er)

The market has (always) reserved judgement on this stock until it proves it has a profitable business model.

And that's it. That's all there is to it. Today and always.

The spikes have been on the back of "maybe this time".... but the "smart" money just sells into them.

The mirage of profitability keep many small PI's here but I guess it only re-enforces the old adage of "never fall in love with a stock".

Why has the price fallen back 15% ophidian? Is it because you sold into the rumour that you posted here?
