Except PL, I have lost nothing: I sold today at 132p a tranche I bought at 47p.

That trade is done. If and when I buy more, at whatever price, will be the new trade that when I sell that, at whatever price, I will record a gain or loss.

as for my other losses that you are so joyful and eager to always highlight, which is pretty mean spirited, you never say at what price I bought in or took profits on along the way. I still lost on those 3 but with my money management it was not too painful.

Tim, I know you get off on the "it can go up or down, then" smart arse comment. But for the love of god, its just an odds based system, which as you read my posts you know I have said that many times previously.. It really is pretty small minded of you to constantly personalise every thing I post.

All I am saying is that based on a reliable technical indicator (the RSI), that a fall from (128p) was on the cards, all that has happened is that it has gone up further simply increasing the odds of a fall.

It does not matter does it? I repeatedly state that a chart does nothing more than attempt to tell you what's most likely.

I sold some today at 132p expecting most likely a fall, If I have get back in on that amount a few % higher so be it, but its my money, my risk.

A retrace will take place, but as always timing is everything.

Lets not discuss the SP? why did you buy the stock in the first place if not for the SP appreciation?
Soak up what exactly? What good has the "brilliant Science posted here over the last couple of years done for the individual exactly in terms of making them wealthier?

By all means have your golden rules but the only thing that matters is the SP. What info & methodology the individual uses to enhance their timing of buying and selling is to most , quite important.

This is an investment BB after all, you know.

I've said many times Dave that i enjoy swapping ideas and thoughts while waiting for events beyond our control, unfold.

Where it seems to go wrong is that many here think this BB is some sort of oracle to the inner working of the science and know more about it than the market and the professionals. That there is some sort of conspiracy of nod nod, wink wink, and you just need to join the dots that no one else can see.

Thats why I don't waste my time on the fundamentals. Its not that are not relevant or useful but we really don't know what's going on at a "fundamental" level. (And lets face it, neither did AS over the LFT).

The funny thing is for all the posters that are genuinely upset by almost anything I post, it makes no difference. Are my posts going to affect the results of the Trial? Are any posts here going to make any difference?

Thats why I think its irrelevant here, but it still can be interesting, although not so much now.

All I said was the SP is due a retrace after the current rise. (Based on the psychology of crowds, which is a well established phenomenon, explored and validated by many scientists.)

surprising news (ie not what the market is expecting), will move the SP dramatically, but otherwise reasonable expectations tend to be already reflected in the SP prior to confirmatory official releases.

Why did you buy AVCT previously? Why have you not waited for the trial to finish and the results published?

people buy on the gamble that the news will continue to be good but in the expectation it will take the market by surprise and give even further impetus.

That's why you often get "buy on the rumour and sell on the news": the price already reflected the expectation of good news and it only needs not to exceed that expectation for money to be taken off the table and chase some other rainbow.

All a chart is doing is graphically reflecting the majority view of the buyers and sellers at any given time.

Its not that complicated and imo, doesn't deserve the "hocus pocus" reputation some give it.

It just gives you the majority view and the likely hood of that trend continuing. As a result it tends to be more accurate in its "forecasts" over shorter time frames rather than long term.

Bella my view is, the SP has put itself further into over bought territory even before todays opening so a retrace is overdue.

The caveat is of course it can go up further from here in the short term, but this is unlikely . The most likely outcome is a fall to unwind the RSI.

It does not need to fall back to any particular support price when in a strong uptrend like this but I guess 115p or thereabouts would do the trick and satisfy most conditions.

Historically 140.5p would need to be broken to pave the way for further advances (137p has not been a valid resistance ever since it was broken and was supplanted by the 140,5p close). However that a price area lasted for about 5 months or so, so its a strong celling and will be seen as significant if/when it goes.

(And without wanting to be argumentative, News does not always trump charts.

The expression "buy on the rumour and sell on the news" is very well known based on historical precedent.

But Charts are intricately entwined with news, and cannot in any event, be separated as though two individual strands.

it reads conservative to me. Trading is clearly holding and progressing well, but with so much uncertainty for the future there is some hedge betting going on from the BoD (imo).

In that context the results are very good indeed and I would expect also very good day today. (DYOR etc etc)

I don't require or "need" other posters here to support me or not.

Or possibly, I bought when I thought LFT was going to be winner and then sold when I thought it wasn't....I then bought back when it fell below 70p and carried on buying down to the mid 40's because I thought it good value.. And guess what I posted my reasoning at the time...

But if that description of my investment stance is deemed to be "two faced" it simply enforces my view that the vast majority here cannot objectively read anything that contradicts their closed minds

But, I will presume you don't think this BB is largely irrelevant.

What good has this BB done in protecting or enhancing peoples wealth that bought here over the last couple of years? What relevance has it had over the SP?

Think back to all the "breadcrumbs" that were never endingly posted with the inevitable "is it us" weekends. All of them wrong. Not once were they correct. And when some did say, this might be overvalued, what reaction did those posts enjoy here?

What here, on this BB, could not have been concluded by looking elsewhere?

I think its fun to swap ideas and thoughts and experiences, good and bad, but in hindsight I was terribly naive.

Group think has to remain supreme here it would seem but if you think this BB is populated by serious investors then think again.

Anybody who thinks FOMO relates to a professional is wrong. Anybody who over commits to any stock is, sooner or later, going to lose a lot of money, experienced professional investors don't. Anybody who rails against shorting and thinks it "evil" is not a professional investor. Anybody who simply personally insults another's POV simply because they disagree with it, is not a professional investor either.

If you think about it, using your post. you are effectively saying the SP fell from 160p-40p, and that it was just coincidence that some posted here that the stock was overvalued, but rather than accept the obvious connection, ie some saying the stock was too high based on unlikely LFT income, that these were trolls out to cause mischief?

I do accept that there are likely some people who post to just cause mischief, but they are as deluded as any in thinking their pathetic posts make any material difference to a stock's price.

It seems to be the nature of social media where many seem to think their myopic view of subjects has any bearing at all on the subject. They seem to be of the opinion that they have some importance based on ...well, nothing really.

Its a strange, social world we are creating now.

In the echo-chamber logic that exists on all BB's, any pro post is acceptable however rampy, and this then elevates the poster, however many posts they continually make to a "serious" investor" but any dissenting voices are labelled trolls and worse and the pro's voices do their best to have then and their views cancelled whilst at the same time not seeing the irony of concluding that the absence of these posts proves.. what exactly?... apparently some great conspiracy...... that these people are employed only ever to make you sell?

Again the logic is absurd: they make you sell, apparently, so they can buy in at a lower price. Well given it fell to 40p I imagine (under the BB logic of the demented), that all these many many trolls and evil imposters have now bought and actually would want the SP to rise, wouldn't they?

Your logic also has to include that "serious investors" A: bother reading this drivel here, and B: reverse their investment strategy on anonymous unsupported rants.

Its quite the fantasy world that many have here have invented.

Here's another explanation.

The professional shorts taken out were on the recognition that the SP was over valued on the expected LFT income that they doubted AVCT would harness. The savy sold both retail and professional.

Then... when that was exhausted, and risk reward was favourable to buy, the market has.... bought.

No conspiracy: no manipulation: just the normal to and fro in a high risk stock.

TA says its on a support at 312p, so maybe this is the low?

a fair bit of resistance at 111.5p,. Given how close we are to that, then a break and hold above suggest further upward movement to the low 120's.

It looks to me as though there is some build up of energy waiting for this break to occur, Just my opinion DYOR etc

LDA, I have no idea. Historically AVCT are usually late on timelines so I would genuinely not be surprised if it was as "late" as September.

At this stage the die is cast. The trial is underway and will be complete when it is is complete. The actual date of the collation and publishing of the results is beyond our knowledge and would simply be guesswork.

Before I was very anxious on dates and deadlines because I felt the LFT was very time dependent to maximise any sales/profits.

This is not the case that a few weeks will make any material difference to the outcome of the future of the company.

thank you for your kind words Apre, but I don't know why me making an observation is any more tedious then any other post, but again by all means post your personal thoughts as that would have added to everybody else's tedium too I guess?
