On this worse-case scenario,

I guess D, it comes down to insolvency.

One possibility is EVE say that sales/profits are not expanding as hoped for and are winding the company up and returning whatever assets are left in the business back to the shareholders.

The first course, mind you, while still trading would be to put the company up for sale. and only if no buyers came forward then they could return any funds back.

Or

Realistically I would expect them to get a loan or overdraft if very close to profitability but that depends on what value the assets have. Or a RI, of course.

Based on the news out from EVE I would think that EVE would be exploring buyers for the business and running models based on someone else having the business without their head office overheads and anything else they can realistically be jettisoned by a new owner already in business. (Just in case)

Anyway, time will reveal all, and who knows, maybe EVE have already cracked it and sales are picking up in the various channels available to them.

Unfortunately Yanis, that was exactly my thought when I saw DGU's post.

As I say, I hope very much that EVE prosper but at the same time all outcomes need to be considered when looking at investments and as best as one can, put a "likelyhood" rating on each one as objectively as poss, to try and get a snapshot of risk/reward.

Just to be devil's advocate DGU, because I have no idea on takeovers etc, but there is also the option of a takeover taking place AFTER Eve went bust.

A take over while still trading, could allow a surge in the SP increasing the cost.

If things were that grim any bidder might bide their time and wait until they are dealing with an administrator.

DGU, Its not that the Share buyback idea is "unpopular" here but its economically illiterate of you to keep thinking its some sort of solution to a lack of sales and finite financial resource.

Its akin to you not having enough money to pay your mortgage with your house about to be repossessed in a few months and deciding with what little you have in the bank, to buy a hot tub for the garden that you think will increase the value of the house.

And Eve is not in abetter place now than it was. Its got less than half the money in the bank that it had and is still not profitable, so its gone backwards, and thats why the SP has gone down and continues to be under pressure.

Until EVE release a positive update to assure the market that they have a profitable business model the SP is likely to remain at best around these levels.

Fingers crossed yanis it recovers during the day to above 1.75p, otherwise it looks pretty grim from a TA pov.

its all relevant as we are only back at the placing price of a couple of years ago but the move is I think significant as its another potential non-required overhead and given they are loss making the fact they are committing money in this way suggests that the confidence is there for it to be a "good" move in the longer term.

Morning D, normally the AGM's are just technical affairs. I would be surprised for any reference to sales.

Either EVE have info on a material change to the outlook or not which should generate its own RNS rather than just tag on a comment at the AGM. (dyor etc etc)

PL I have not lost 95% in any of my bets.

I did not buy at the top nor sell at the bottom. I also took some profit out of the rises that I enjoyed. Losses on those 3 that you can't help but continually misrepresent, for sure, but then I knew the binary play of them and invested amounts accordingly.

I don't poke fun at your intigumen/Deepverge purchase. i don't quote what you bought then and what the price is now. Or ripdicks ODX purchase which he apparently only lost a few £'s (must have been a tiny bet.)

When I check the posting history of you Apre, Ripdick and bitl you only post on one stock. It looks from that perspective you all have your eggs in one basket? Hopefully not because that is a very high risk and not to be recommended investment strategy. But that just my opinion of course.

bitl, you continually maintain I influence the price and yet all i do is post occasionally on some of my trades. Yet look at all the messages posted most every day saying the SP is undervalued with price expectations of £5-£50 per share.

No comment on you from that. And clearly, given where the SP is, it doesn't influence the SP. and these posts, remember are often backed up by links to other news feeds that confirm their hypothosis.

But me.. somehow even though i repeatedly tell you I have no wish or influence to alter the SP, you refuse to believe what is in front of your eyes. (I would remind you I posted that I bought at 132p and 121p recently and yet the SP has fallen.....under your narrow terms it destroys your absurd irrational belief that I can or do influence the SP. )

You don't know me, we have never met, you have no idea on what my stock holdings are at any given time, yet you are convinced in your belief you know my ulterior motives.

just for clarification D, I use stops but not pre-programmed. I have a level that if the SP falls to I sell, but its not an instruction lodged into the platform, its very hands on.
