Yes, joe, I agree (for what thats worth !) But nevertheless although the SP reaction has been more than muted and confounded my expectation, at this price it feels the risk reward ihas moved much more to the buyers side.

DF, do you accept that Harl have to do the deal now? rates have gone up by about 50% since they started talking .

Are you saying that Harl are negotiating on not what the current rate is now, but what it might be in 12 months, (and why 12 months, why not 15 or 18?)

More like Harl are trying to get back to what they were promised back in the new year. Anyway, I don't see Harl being in the driving seat on these negotiations

There is nothing globally to suggest there will be a rapid decline in the rates charged and indeed the bond markets are now raising the cost of borrowing to all countries as they are giving up on any country balancing their books.

The UK is typical. Already high taxes and still they borrow billions more every month with no indication that growth will overtake this balance any time soon.

Until spending is cut (but really needs to be slashed and that is not going to happen voluntarily), then relatively high borrowing for business (6-12%) will be around for the foreseeable future.

I think you are right DF , a .25% cut around October next year in time for the election. Which is 12 months... but that assumes there is no further inflation surges from the middle east or elsewhere, and also that UK inflation does not remain... sticky....

Forrest, the SP jumped to nearly double where it is now on the contract win. It was compounded by the March 1st RNS saying that refinancing was imminent.

The fact that 6 months later, a company that is burning millions a week,still has not released the terms of the deal or if the deal has been completed, is hanging over the stock. Further the potential valuable assest of IM is off the table for the foreseeable has not helped.

This is what I think is holding the SP back.

Yeah, much better to have worked 40 hours a week for 3 years than to trade a stock.

Did anyone forecast 6 weeks prior to the end of a trial that has overrun by 12 months that the SP would be 150p?

Where has all this fantastic analysis got you that I have missed out on?

Who was it that forecast nearly a year ago that this part of the trial would continue to Q4. (Not Rah thats for sure )

Anyway, as long as you are happy with your portfolio's performance this year then who cares.

Maybe I have bitl, but I have made plenty of profit on this stock since I took off my rose tinted glasses way back when a vaccine was likely to be announced and decided that this was a stock that could be traded and not to get caught up with the "FOMO of news dropping any minute".

So my scepticism at various stages has proved correct whilst those 3 over time, have been completely wrong.

To be fair Don, Rah in particular often post as though their opinions are "Facts"

As for scientific reasoning, I always think it reads well, but the fact is (see what I did there), they don't know. They don't know the science in enough detail, they don't know how well AVCT are progressing or what hurdles or sticking points they may be encountering.

Especially when AS uses terms that can be interpreted in different ways.

So while I have no problem as do you, with their opinions, I would suggest that is not how their posts are often written.

Timing is everything in trying to maximise returns.

These particular posters have been banging the drum for years and it is only now, much later than anyone (including AVCT) forecast that we are starting to see what looks to be more solid base of SP appreciation. This is based on an unequivocal RNS from AVCT regarding timelines and further announcements this year.

Dark forces... really?

you REALLY think that 16p is some magic figure that is not allowed to be breached because buying at 15p instead of 16p is going to make a profound difference?

An that these "Dark forces" can force the whole market to alter the SP downwards on low volume.

In other words there is no great demand to buy H&W because.,........ there is a question or uncertainty on the terms of the re-financing. Will a fund raise be necessary? On top of that the over draft seems to be maxed out, which in turn increases the risk and compresses the timeline for an announcement.

Markets don't like high risk and they don't like uncertainty. Right now this is probably the riskiest time to buy. Thank goodness for us PI's who have no idea what we are doing.....

When you have an RNS like this and the SP reaction is a 5% increase then I try to think what the market sees that I can't.

None of us have a clue what is actually going on over there, (which is fine), but I just hope every one here realises all our posts are just aimless chit chat while we watch the SP do its thing.

Given the scale of the order and the reaction in the SP I would guess H&W have probably "bought" this business to see if they can get a ball rolling over there..

We just have to wait for the details of the re-finance.....
