I bought back the last portion of my shares that I had sold on Wednesday morning. Took a 3p loss or rather I saw my number of shares diminish. Got back in at 83.6 only for it to immediately fall back below 83p. Was kicking myself for the first few hours for acting too quickly.

Now it looks like a smart move, although doing nothing would have been better over last fortnight

It was £1.50 before covid and the panto Dame's dismal showing last year. Add inflation and anywhere over £1.60 would be nice but that of course is la la land as we all know ITV it hated by the markets. £1.20 is probably going to be a 12 month high

So desperate to believe your own spin! You are getting some shots on goal and the opposition are making some close saves but still nothing in the back of the net!

Try not to get carried away with your own hype. Where is Contrarian when we need him to give a more balanced viewpoint?

Realistically I think we might get a shift in the SP due to the valuation of the studios. It was a smart play by the Board to invite people to bid so as to get a fair valuation of ITV as a whole.

1 month to results. Lets cross our fingers the Dame is better prepared this time around. No more screw ups from someone who takes home 3 million a year of our money.

You guys exagerate. It is very hidden. Outside of this board very few people will have picked up on it.

It is early days. Might be the only epression of interest and looks like it will go nowhere as the bidder wants control which was never what was on offer.

The wiki link to Chernin was interesting. He would never be allowed to buy ITV outright because of his political allegiances and funding.

It is a start though. Needs more promising bidders and maybe the markets will notice the discrepancy between valuations of parts of the business and the share valuation as a whole.

I firmly believe this will be £1 in a month. Jed needs to buy back fast

Jed this is not normal conditions anymore. We are heading into the results and an expression of interest in the business is now out in the open. Investors who will not normally look at ITV are probably now seeing significant upside and will start moving over. I expect a gradual increase over 84p today.

As for selling the studios of course the CEO is right to say no. Any bidder needs to buy ITV outright. The offer of part ownership of the studios was always designed to get that 3 billion valuation of the studios reflected in the overall ITV share price.

I am hoping that some big player now decides that buying ITV as a whole for 4-5 billion makes perfect sense. Bidding war would be lovely but right now I am hoping for £1 for the shares I hold.

I thought it was good. It captured a pure white British sub culture where mixed marriage was frowned upon.

The Dame is trying to be inclusive. Maybe she could ask Nick Griffin or Tommy Robinson to front a daytime show?

Solley is right as always. A 1% loss on the day is cause for hope. I am already buying back the shares I sold at 82p. Confident that this will rise tomorrow :)

Ironknut yes the interracial message is all pervasive. I started dating a Kenyan woman after ITV conditioning took effect on me. She now wants me to move to Mombasa and make yet more babies.

Last years Final results were a catastophe. ITVX sprung on the markets. Nobody forewarned and no competent Finance Director able to advise the Dame to go gently so as not to crash the share price. It was amateur hour and sadly people were buying here at £1.20 in the hope that it would go to £1.50

Anything could happen in March. Just hoping that luck works in the Dame's favour and some how she drags this company back into the FTSE 100. We still do not have a BOD that inspire confidence 12 months on. A repeat of last year and the CEO has to fall on her sword.

Jed this looks like the movement to mid 80s which I said was possible after the ITVX update. 1-2 weeks off with my prediction but looks like the 70s will not be seen again for a while.

I know you have balls of steel but I reckon you might have to buy back at a loss if you want in for the results and £1. 75-77p could be an awful long wait old pal

Looks like switch might have been pressed. This was 82p briefly this morning and it now back in the red and falling.

Will it still be above 79p at close of play? Wall street open sometimes knocks this. Weird how it peaks 8.30am to 9.30am and then wipes off 2-3% in later trading. Goes to show it is not humans driving this.

Jed failed to mention that the conditions for trading on the short swings are few and far between. January has been the exception. Look at the rest of the year and as Baldy points out you would get caught out and left holding or left behind.

It is calm periods with no ITV updates or invasions or covid news that matter. I kept my money out all summer fearing a major ftse crash on bad global economic news. Bought in at 56p in September. I now think that the ftse is reaching record highs due to increased revenues brought on by inflation.

As I stated last week. Mid February this ITV calm period will end as opportunists pile in for results. 3 weeks to buy back in if it goes back to 70s.

Ever hopefuly eh Jed? I think someone will pull the switch and it will wipe 2-3p off the price by Wednesday. Game of roulette here.

Jed looks like it is back on its downward dip. 85p I thought was possible but after returning to 76 last week it looks like we are now set with the same range it has been in for weeks. February 14th. When you are taking your dearest out somewhere special is when the bigger number of buys will start to pile in for Final results.

All guess work of course. I am the holder who got the question in for the Dame to resign at the AGM

Jed oil and gas prices are back down. Inflation should now stop rising. Company valuations on the ftse should climb to reflect the new prices that everyone is now selling at and increased revenue because the £ is now worth less in real terms.

Add to that China abandoning lockdown and hopefully some of the fear in global markets starts to lift. War in Taiwan now looks less likely. The Chinese tested US resolve and found the US were not bluffing. China would lose if they attempt to invade.

Then do not fall into the trap of thinking Russia is set to continue the war in Ukraine. I am of the idea that failed spring offensives and the Russian elites will grow tired of Putin and his idiotic hawkish advisors.

We have seen the worst news. UK economy will stagnate as a whole for 5 years but there are growth areas. Media and tv shows can hopefully be nimble and bring in overseas sales. Like the UK gaming industry, UK studios can become world leaders.

I am positive. Post March I want this back trading £1 to £1.20

Love Island. I am a massive convert. Started a bit slow tonight. Guys are a bit lacking. Half of them have never had a girlfriend! The farmers son despite his looks could be a virgin. Then the girls got wheeled in one by one. Blonde looks nice. Tanyel the Cypriot looks likes last years winner the Turkish Ekin Su. Then the Swansea girl Anna May. My initial reaction was terrible boob job. Then I start thinking she definetly has the clap. She even then says "since I have been single I have been going with 10 guys a night. I like snogging"

I seriously hope ITV take all these kids to the nearest GUM clinic in South Africa before letting them loose inside that villa. Simon Cowell is getting sued by X factor contestants 10 years on. I would hate for ITV to be paying out damages to kids who catch STIs under the Dame's watch.

Anyway end of the show they are all coupled up and then the reveal. A manly man is joining them and will steal their women from under them. He has winner written all over him. He is an adonis. Of course he is called Tom. If I were 20 years younger I could have won that show and bed the lot of them

Broker ratings. Yawn. Financial analysts paid a fortune and they still get it wrong.

There was a poster here who last February told everyone to sell at 120+. Said it would be a 12 months high. He then advised to get back in at 56p in September...... If you had followed that guy you would have doubled your number of shares here and be set to make 2x the dividend this year.

Anyway. £1 looks a good prospect after the results. I think the range here has been moved by last weeks ITVX update. So previously this was moving from 74 up to 79. It is taking a few days to adjust but I get the feeling that 78-79 will be the new buy in. 83-84p maximum sell. This could last until middle of February when more buyers will start to come in for results.

All just guess work and nobody would ever endorse my posts but I have been the most accurate predictor of ITV SP over the past 3 years.

Selling in the 70s on today's update is counter intuitive. I think most of us can see selling opportunities not today maybe now, but next week of low to mid 80s. Long term holders this is going to be somewhere completely different in March. Then the ex dividend date will push this higher.

Jed I concur with your 80p target. May even reach 82 after US gets the figures.

Did not see this update scheduled but it is a positive move. More accountability to the markets and the BOD could bring investors back. Still a good 6 weeks away from final results and there is hope for £1 if ITV can keep following up the ITVX launch with good audience figures.

I watched "A spy amongst friends" over two evenings. Best drama I have seen in years. Completely engrossed.

The day traders range will have to move upwards now. Selling at 84p and buying at 80p?

Got to give kudos to Jed. He called it right last Thursday. I followed his advice and sold 80% of my holding here at 79. Bought back yesterday at 76. Nice 3% gain in number of shares held. He is becoming one of the people to follow here.

Not much happening here until March is my best guess. No offer for studios. Certainly no bid. No resignation at the board level. Then March I am hopeful. I am enjoyinh ITVX way more than the hub.

So just buying on the ups and downs. Yes it is a manipulated share. Outside parties can drag this down to 50p on news that barely effects other UK companies. Investing here has been silly high levels of gambling for years.

I see positives. A manipulated share sees far more movement than the big Ftse 100 guys that barely move between announcements. This is the place to get rich
