Pokerchips the accusation that Schofield groomed a young man is everywhere including the tabloids. There were even stories in 2019 when it was first brought to ITV managements attention. Pcitures of him with a man he now admits he had a relationship with only Schofield is pictured with him at 12 years old.

ITV management knew they potentially had somebody who was maybe not acting illegally, but whose behaviour was deplorable. They are still saying "no mistakes made". They made other presenters step down from This Morning as they were uncomfortable working with Schofield when the right course of action would have been to slowly reduce his role and importance on the show and bring through other presenters who were not tainted with child grooming rumours.

Sky have a news crew outside some gentlemans house this morning with the caption "ITV boss". They ask him if any mistakes were made.

He replies "No mistakes were made"

All we get is denial from these fools.

Even if Schofield disappears from front pages the issue still remains that we have incompetent leadership and that is reflected in the SP. No apology from Carolyn over her error of judgement on Schofield. Still no acceptance that she has made terrible long term decisions at ITV that have halved the SP.

Carolyn is not woke. She has a very clear political agenda from her Guardian days. She lacks empathy and kindness.

She has overseen some terrible moments in ITV history. She should have handled many of these moments better and HR have sadly got things very wrong. Kyle, Caroline Flack, Schofield and the hiring of Piers Morgan (friend of too many convicted paedophiles).

She is weak. Lacks leadership. She has minimal self awareness.She should have resigned in 2022. Still she clings on and the other place has a quote saying she sees herslef in the role for 10 years!

Anyway the funniest thing I saw was a Daily Mail article saying how ITV's "investor relations" are worried about the share price on Tuesday. Where the F have these guys been for the last 5 years? We barely heard a peep out of them. Minimal communication. Would love to see how many people are employed there and how much money has been wasted on them. More friends and lovers?

In her defence Schofield is at least admitting he lied to her.

Maybe the markets always knew Ironknut? They knew at some point ITV would be paying out millions in damages as well as severance pay to disgraced Schofield. We have a real litigation risk in this company after the Dame permitted a toxic grooming culture.

the dame must be well aware that the media indistry has a history of sexual predators. complaints were made against schofield and the fact that the friendship he has now admitted to started when the person concerned was a child.

she swept it under the carpet and assisted in the cover up by allowing him to stay on and come out publically as *** in an attempt to distract from his criminal behaviour.

i disliked the witch hunt that has gone on until now but as the rumours have been confirmed and with the trial of schofields brother i have come to realise that the do nothing dame has shown terrible and weak leadership allowing a sexual predator to remain on a flagship tv show.

she has damaged the brand. she has trashed the share price.

It will most likely hit 65p before it hits 80p. Today is almost a 6 month low. The two weeks before Christmas saw this back below 73p.

I think tomorrow may see a small bounce with the divi reinvestment and the fact that this has been over sold today. Might creep up over 74. Today has demonstrated that there is no resistance here and once bad economic news hits this can lose 3-4% in a single day.

If only Nigeco was still lurking. He could come and mock MKS performance today. Some CEO is getting something right in a sector that is even more squeezed than media.

PitPat seems to be the same investment stategy as the investment in Resi back in March. Resi is an online platform for design/architecture.

It kind of makes sense but it means we will take a short hit to revenue before these guys start to see value. If you cannot generate advertising revenue then you might as well identify companies that need marketing in return for a stake in their company and use the available air time promoting them.

Schofield and possibly the runner. Boris and Arcuri. Powerful men abusing their position. ITV management have clearly attempted to sweep it all under the carpet and carry out a damage limitation exercise with Phil's coming out. The wrong decision by the Dame and BoD to back Schofield which is now going to blow up in their face.

I hope McCall is preparing a statement on how much she knew and how she failed to intevene despite the complaints by other presenters. This is damaging to the ITV brand. She has to go after this debacle on top of the share price collapse.

Kiwi I noticed the Ant and Dec news and my thought was if only.... They have spent the majority of their lives with ITV. They live and breathe the brand and are loved by all employees. When I worked at ITV I only heard great things about them.

They would be able to give slick presentations. Doors would open to them. They would need expert advice at all levels on the board but they could be the ones to bring through the younger ITV employees who have shown promise in those area rather than going for the high salaried outsiders who might never gel at ITV.

Ant and Dec running ITV would generate so much good publicity and they could not be worse than Carolyn. They would need to take a significantly lower pay deal but maybe just maybe money is no longer the primary motivator for the both of them.
