Finally Trupcard and I are in agreement!

Please all readers of this board recognise that despite what everyone says about how posting here cannot move SP, that this board is high visibility (one of the top google results for "ITV shares"). We have had ITV employees post here so there are insiders who read these comments and perhaps the sentiments get passed along.

The whole succession after Adam Crozier announced he was stepping down was badly handled. They dithered for months. It now feels that they went for the inclusivity candidate rather than another white male with business acumen. She then could not start for 6 months and we ended up forking out 14million for someone who is FTSE250 CEO at best.

That is all my opinion. I would urge all other readers of this board to voice their opinion. If we could get a deafening crescendo of NO votes here then maybe someone at ITV or the investment funds that own this company might move.

Lets get this back to £1.50

BT are cutting 55,000. If I remember rightly ITV is only 6000 employees so minimal wasteage already.

The only obvious deadwood is the Board of Dimwits. They could all be sacked tomorrow and replaced with the most capable ITV lifers. Just because the Dame came with an expensive price tag it does not make her the most capable person to run ITV.

The job cuts sounds about right. With AI they are going to need less people. The thing that is potentially interesting for ITV is

Potentially the silly bidding for football and other sports will finally cease and ITV may be able to bid again for some sports knowing they can at least match the outlay with advertising and pay per view revenue. Could be that ITVX also starts to become the platform of choice for sports events.

No my advice is to hold on to the studios and build that business. When she touted the idea of selling the studios or part of the studios to investors back in the autumn I never thought she would go through with it. It was merely designed to get offers in which would then give a more realistic idea of ITVs value.

That clever bluff in the autumn has now lost all momentum. SP is falling and somebody with knowledge of the markets needs to come up with new initiatives to get this back to £1.50 without damaging the longterm profit streams. We are paying millions to some of these Board members. Somebody must know how to get this back to a 7bn valuation.

5 years of failure is just not good enough. Most other industries it would be unacceptable. I cannot figure out why the institutional investors who hold the vast majority of shares here have not moved and demanded drastic changes at Board level. If anything this is starting to resemble the BBC where it is political appointees just collecting an easy salary and no longer a corporate entity.

Nothing has really changed here so I would say a repeat of 2022. The share price will fall off in July and August and into September. 60s, maybe even 50s. Then a steady climb back to 80s before the FYR in Feb 2024.

That is all working on the assumption that Carolyn does not wake from her slumber and go with an offer from an external bidder for part of the studios which could suddendly revalue the SP. I honestly think she sees her years work as done now. She has shown up for presentations and made a few internal managerial decisions. Cricket season has started so she is probably work from home and just delegating decisions. On top of that she has her new LUAC role which will need her to read proposals for huge government grants and spending. Much bigger than anything she does at ITV.

So stagnation and retreat here until October. As Contrarian said 12 months ago. Plan your exit strategies.

If only Britains greatest business woman could make a similar announcement and come up with a plan backed by the city to turn the abysmal performance around here but alas she takes on new roles outside of ITV and lets the share price slide.

The previous CEO of Vodafone stepped down. That is good leadership. Knowing when you are not up to the task rather than clinging on to milk bonuses and salary that are not merited.

And that ends the AGM week. You would hope for a rally. Maybe an announcement from the Board but as ever we got precious little. Minimal communication. They treat investors and shareholders with disdain.

So naturally the Share Price ended at its lowest for an end of a week since February.

Nothing on ITV website. Normal resolutions that we voted on are going up on other websites. Just google ITV AGM and some of them list results. Non ordinary business apparently is going up on the FCA website.

Looks all very routine. Next weeks results will probably be much the same as last year. No real dramatic fall in Q2,Q3,Q4 so hard to believe Q1 will change.

9 months of no news here now where the share price will be lucky to advance much beyond 85.

That confirms it. Motogte is a lunatic. Coming in here and saying a 6% yield = an upturn and ignoring everything else that has happened in past 14 months since this tanked. Pretty clear you are only here to ramp and will not try to see that high profits, yields and potential value have failed to move the price back over £1.

Peachy you think Carolyn was only ever brought in by our political masters to crash the price? So that they and their hedge fund chums could buy out ITV below £! and then sell off the studios to American buyers?

That £3.5 million a year will just continue as Advisor for levelling up? It is not like Parliament has 100+ MPs who live in the north and know the issues and projects that would life the north. Carolyn lives in Berkhamstead and has spent her career around media chums and then Easyjet.

Could it be that the old girl is being put out to pasture? Nice easy government role where nobody really expects anything to happen but she gets a fat wad of tax payers money whilst writing her memoirs.

If they were to come the time to do it would be at an AGM day. Make the announcement at 7am to the markets and then use the AGM to clarify details and let the person involved give a speech or maybe in this case a "Mea culpa".

Maybe the cameras are not there as they want to avoid live streaming what is potentially a humiliating moment for someone billed as Britains greatest business woman. They will spare the Dame or maybe others the humilaition that they put the contestants on reality shows through.

IF this scenario played out tomorrow the markets could react well. If there was a plan in place and a good successor then this could boost this share.

Nothing strange. I sold the vast majority of my ITV shares after the ex divi cut off for 80.1p. I keppt 100,000 just in case the Goldfinger deal comes down..... Yesterday like the Tit I am I bought back into this junk at 77.9

I like everyone else is now praying for a minor miracle. Maybe some big US studio will offer 2 billion for a 10% stake in ITV studios......
