The Dame knowing this allowed him back on air. I hope once the KC reports back that the Dame is summoned back to Parliament and told to leave her position voluntarily or if she refuses ITV will have their PSB revoked as no important public broadcaster should be run by somebody who is an apologist for accomplices to paedophilia

A few trouble makers that the 3.5million a year Dame just let carry on bullying and harassing for the last 5 years. Front page on the tabloids for all the wrong reasons.

Clear proof that she is not living up to her own spin and is feeding Parliament a pack of lies about the culture at ITV. Any CEO who allows the ITV name to suffer this kind of reputational damage needs to get the boot. Not fit for purpose.

Agreed Winnie. The sell off in shares in ITV since the Dame took charge reflects that optimism and recognises the Dame's astute business acumen. Long live the Dame. £1.50 this time next year. "The bid" "Liberty".

Typical Solley post. He moans about other posters who do not buy into his blind optimism. At least Jed comes up with arguments as to why he believes ITV will rise up. Solley has just become the Victor Meldrew of the board.

No chance of that Jed. Look at last years SP in August and September. Nothing has changed. Yesterday is as Contrarian pointed out. It lured some of the more nervous investors in.

Once the US opens we will see movement again here. Be thankful if this holds on to 70s today. Next week 65.

The Home Secretary wants the law to change so that teachers and carers who do as Schofield did face criminal prosecution. They already automatically lose their jobs.

Somebody of a high profile as Schofield should never have been allowed back on air after failing to report child sexual abuse and with their being rumours of him abusing his position. The fact that the Dame must have seen his testimony under oath in court and cleared him to go back on air is sickening. She felt powerless to stop the senior ITV production staff and presenters from dictating to her.

She had a duty of care. The Dame and Lygo told "this morning" staff that Schofield was coming back and that they had no say. Schofields colleagues turned round and said no way we work with someone who turns a blind eye to paedophilia.

Sorry but that is inexcusable. The damage to ITV's reputation as a family broadcaster was potentially huge but somehow everyone got distracted with his grooming of a very young employee.

Yes a nice flash rally for ITV. The news about advertising income is really worrying though. I am glad to be out as I think this is going to turn ugly as it did last summer. Once the shorters move in this is going to get hit hard.

Look at last years graph. It climbed after the July 28 2022 results only to then drive off a cliff edge in August. Advertising revenues were higher then and the company was not mired in controversy. Did another ITV celeb just admit to bullying his own production company staff?

Got to know when to cash in on shares like this before they wipe 20% off their value.

Yes many of us are waiting for the moment. It will see a wild upswing in the share price which might even be sustained if they can organise a quick succession to a good candidate this time around. It will be the best buying opportunity for years at ITV.

Right now I am betting on her going once Schofield report goes public. I think she is lining up her post ITV role at the Levelling up Committee but first off she realises she needs to mop up the mess that is Schofield. She called the inquiry to buy herself time and get her story straight (otherwise Ofcom and Dep of Media might have forced her out in June) but my gut feeling is that once that reports back in what I think will be October at the earliest her lack of judgement and weakness to stand up to Schofield will be evident for all to see. She will have to resign.

I think she is a nice person who wants to do the best thing by everyone. She is just hopelessly out of her depth at ITV and too easily bullied by the big named producers and stars. The people she has surrounded herself with appear utterly useless when it comes to giving her advice (ITVX launch).

Have a look at the 1 year graph. 4% down on where ITV was this time last year. It then took a nasty downturn during August and September. Nothing tells me that this compnay is in better shape or with better leadership than this time last year. We have the additional reputational damage done by a leading ITV personality covering for a paedophile for three months (his admission in court).

Yes lets wait until the results. As Contrarian pointed out we have had a series of results now where the share price has fallen. So the vote is already in. Nobody wants the Dame but for she and her cronies are still dug in. Refusing to move and all collecting big bonuses which are unmerited.

Solley, walking is porbably the best thing mate. 5 years of ramping and all the SP has done is fall. Even Nigeco eventually realised he was taking a hammering on the forum and did the walk of shame.

Now we can be realistic. There are opportunities to make money here but just blindly buying as Jed and Solley advise is utterly reckless. Thursday's results are a massive gamble. Akin to walking into a casino and placing money on a roulette wheel. Nobody outside of the Board of Directors know if the Dame will finally do something or if she loses another 5-10 % through inaction and dithering.

Come the winter and we have the Schofield report. Further embarrassment as the information on how much was known in advance of Phil's sacking is revealed. People failed to act and just hoped for the best which is not good enough at that level.

Neither Jed or Solley can answer that. They have no idea where the future growth will come from. How ITV are going to reverse the slide in advertising revenue. How the company will remain relevant. They just keep on praying for a buyout. Sadly that becomes increasingly likely every year as the main buyers can see the share price will slide further and they just have to wait to buy this at rock bottom and then pick and choose the assets they want to keep.

It is blind logic that fuels the ramping here. Nothing the Dame has done in 5 years has brought any kind of confidence in the future of ITV. The financial analysts see through the titles and claims to be a great businesswoman. Until she goes this is set on a downward trajectory.

I was going to urge caution going into this Thursdays results but Solley only wants the "informed" posters commenting. Contrarian pointing out that the SP has fallen after every results for the last 18 months is not deemed helpful.

Nobody should be contemplating selling to buy back at a lower price even if recent history suggests that is a good move!

Solley when do we get back to normal?

Solley's posting history tells quite a different story. 48 posts in the last month.

February 2022 when the share price was at £1.20 and would crash within days after the terrible ITVX bombshell. I was urging caution and saying the price would go below £1. The "informed one" was saying the below about me:

"This guy is a joke please ignore his posts and hopefully regain a sensible discussion table and certainly things are looking up all round now and When we get out of this possible war situation things will certainly be getting back to normal . As it is I cannot believe the FT doing so well over the past 12 months"

Rarely? And yet you are all over the All3media deal. We know all about your daughter and her high powered job in the US with a studio.

Anytime people urge caution here in advance to the price crashing you pop up telling people not to listen and to continue buying. Maybe I need to find a quote from you when the share price was £1.20 where you are urging people to buy?

Solley's continual ramping is of course by its nature very informative and useful. Telling people to buy in 2022 before the catastrophic results that saw 30p wiped off the SP in a week. That is what you get from Solley. Poor judgement and blind logic counts as informative and useful to the old git brigade here. Losing half the value of your investment is okay as long as you keep backing the Dame and her cronies......

You will get accused of misogyny if you criticise the Dame. Incompetent women such as Liz Truss and Carolyn McCall must be left in peace to crash the SP/UK economy.
