Danpoe353 it is people like you that make me realise that I saw the best of football growing up in the fifties.. You didn't go just to support your team, but also to watch the other teams' stars; Matthews, Finney, Liddell, Haynes, (Jimmy Mcilroy), Len Shackleton, Lothhouse, Sam Bartram, Bert Trautmann, Billy Wright, to name but a few. I have memories that I treasure standing with supporters of other teams enjoying the artistry of players of both teams. Of course we wanted to win and I was fortunate never to have seen MU lose until after Munich (0-4) to the Champions Wolves. Great Days; 9d to watch Edwards Taylor, Charlton, Coleman, Bryne, etc. The first graffiti I can remember seeing was years later on the outskirts of Manchester on a return visit. 'Shankly died of Aids'. I can still remember the horror I felt wondering what type of person could paint such an insult.. After your comment, I now know. GLA to all LTH in UKOG and all football supporters.
