Ifonly1; I know past relations have not been good; that is past as far as i'm concerned. You must appreciate that money is neither lost nor gained until you sell. IMHO unless you require funds for elswewhere, if you have confidence in your investment, stay put, Glencore is more likely to hit £5.00 than £2.00. When! That requires a crystal ball, but take heed from the reason you invested in Glen, I don't think matters will have greatly altered since then, Trump and possibly Brexit excluded.
P.S what does UT close mean? I can work out most of today's abbreviations but I cannot fathom this one out. The Internet comes up with Unreal Tournament which is even more confusing. Yes OK , I'm a Thicko pensioner!!!

Money is not lost or gained until you sell. If you don't need to sell and you have confidence in your investment stay firm. IF confidence has waned, to a point where it it becomes a concern, cut your losses. IMHO Glen requires patience IF, as I do, you feel it will recover. If you have, you will be rewarded, IMO. At the moment Heidi I'm having more success with Greatland Gold. Less investment, but 2 1\2 times the shares; feeling quite contented with both, though each has taken me on a roller-coaster. But that, as I have learned, is typical AIM.

IF Cameron, so certain of a remain vote, has asked in some form or other, what 'adjustments ' we wished the country to seek from the EU then, IMO, we would not be Brexiting excepting a refusal by the EU to negotiate. IF we had a second referendum, and voted Remain, that would be 1-1. We would require a third to decide. Come election time, IF those in power fail to get the government they want, will further elections be called until the ' right ' decision, as they see it, is made. PS. Did you vote? IMO if you could not be bothered to vote, butt out.

We are getting very political, which is not the purpose of the BB. Not that I mind, as there is little else to discuss about Hur, that has not already been done so. For the benefit of the country (and all the risk taking PIs) let us hope that Hur, Ukog, Angs, etc are all roaring successes.
I do not believe that Immigration controls are permitted within the EU; freedom of movement and all that. Once Merkel welcomed all and sundry, the flood gates were bound to, and did, open.

The people decided: end of. I voted out, mainly for border controls and laws making by elected officials, and the way the EU have treated us I am extremely glad I did. There are streets near where I live that,, since we allowed the detritus of Europe in, one does not walk down at night. Anti- immigration? Not at all. I just want to send home those who come to take advantage, and abuse, our over generous nature. The trouble, IMO, is that we have been forced to allow in all and sundry without the right to return them from whence they came. Some, particularly those from some of the African countries, I feel extremely sorry for, but we are a small island which cannot afford to keep absorbing those seeking, quite understandably, a better life for their families.. Sometimes decisions, that are unpalatable and regrettable, have to taken; it takes a very strong man / woman to make them. Come back a Churchill or Thatcher.

Billybigwig. I did say after Brexit which is 29th March 19. The markets will be very jittery until then, and probably a good while afterwards. DRC ? It's their colbalt so can you blame them? No different to Saudi in the 60's when they nationalised the oilfields. A matter of sensible negotiations with, hopefully, neither side being too greedy. Chasing rainbows ? If you don't have dream you can't have dream come true. You may never catch a rainbow, the fun is trying.

Tiburn you've taken me back to 1952. At school in Southport when I first read that poem. Not realising what a futile gesture it was, my chest filled with pride as I devoured the lines. I've loved it and mis-quoted it ever since. Now it illustrates, to me, the futility of war and the noblest of spirit in man, together with an utter waste of the bravest of the brave; but I still love it. I shall now go and watch 'The battle of the River Plate' for the umpteenth time, if I haven't worn it out.
