I have a firm belief that the short term future of RPI is bright, if not the medium term.

Long term is dependent on new products, ideally to take new markets. An obvious one that I am almost certain is coming (and I keep going on about) is the second version of the RP2040. IMO this will take the low power embedded microprocessor market by storm.

Another potential product would be a Raspberry Pi 500 which would be a PC-in-a-keyboard to allow anyone needing a basic computer to web browse and consume video to buy one of these on the cheap.

More blue-sky related, I foresee a collaboration with ARM to release a RPI with built-in AI coprocessor. This is completely logical given RPI just released an AI daughter board (too expensive IMO) and given ARM is finally releasing an AI chip:

It's just going to be pants in the very short term watching the stock drift down and get shorted. Oh well.

For the 10th time, the AI at Ocado is nothing special. If someone buys Ocado due to the AI, it's because they have no concept of what AI actually is and just see the word "AI" and think "buy".

The automation is what makes Ocado special IMO.

HereKittyKitty - exactly. Something very fishy going on. As I've said before, I'm accepting of seeing a crash and burn on results day but with no news and some dodgy "research" note that omits the recent Japanese success... well, 'nuff said.

Has sold £520k of shares by my calculations in the last few days. Anyone know how many he has left? Wonder what the rest of the employees who hold shares make of his actions. Not a great show of support is it?

These past few weeks have been tough but in hindsight it feels like it was an attempted pre-results sell-off.

The fact the shorts are now at 7% and the price is going up consistently suggest maybe the results are going to be rather nice.

But you never can tell with Ocado.

You've got to remember that Steiner owns 3.5% of Ocado shares so he has a direct interest in the share price improving and that the major shareholders were those that voted *for* his remuneration package. Those major shareholders would not have done this unless they had faith in his ability.

I think the only useful bit was comparing RPI's P/E ratio (30) to Nvidia's (100) which actually put me off buying more RPI shares (although I probably will very soon as I see potential).

Er yes. Well, their 3 points can be summarised as:

1) Speculation about Raspberry Pi getting into AI.

2) Speculation about using Raspberry Pis in robotics.

3) More speculation about Raspberry Pi getting into AI.

It's a crap article with no useful information.

What I meant to imply was, "sometimes" (often in Valueplay's case) their commentary is not useful but just pure speculation. But I like to take the rough with the smooth.
