I certainly think many on this board don't have experience of SBCs (no offence) and as for professional investors, I suspect RPI is too small perhaps.

Despite my disappointment of the RP2350 not being equipped to compete with the ESP32, I have faith in Eben Upton - he knows what professionals want (as demonstrated already by him prioritising them over hobbyists during corona). RPI is his baby and he is very gifted at what he is doing.

Security stuff seems aimed at professional vendors to protect their code so hopefully we'll see a large uptake of these.

I agree, and this is one of the things that makes RPI's future secure IMO. I think the share price rising depends on new products though, hopefully something beyond the usual "and here's a Raspberry Pi 6" business. They are already innovating with RP2 and RP2040 so hopefully they now have cash to speed up innovation.

I would not say it is one of the biggest, but THE biggest difference.

Thousands of people have had bad experiences using competitor SBCs and gone to RPis and never looked back.

Many of those people are professionals who then take RPis to their day job.

There are several SBCs that are faster than the RPi but the issues with reliability and support just aren't worth the trouble.

Do not assume this will "go up". It will go all over the flipping place.

But hopefully one day it will have doubled in price or better. Probably in a year or so.

FWIW I am going to come out and say I went long at 450p and still waiting for my head to pop above the water. 10% down is nothing for Ocado though.
