This shows the cumulative number of patents vs date. Additionally, some random clicking shows that Ocado is indeed paying the maintenance fee for "many" of the patents.

I think Ocado has massive potential and right now is on the cusp of breaking even, but I agree that Tim needs to Foxtrot Oscar.

There's one missing which was filed by plain old Ocado Ltd in the early days and the earliest filed was in 2012. I plotted a graph of patents against time and they seem to be increasing the rate of filing suggesting more innovation or making the company look better for takeover.

But yes, I'm not sure how Asda buying Ocado would work. I think it could happen, but would need a Kroger-style investment first and I'm not sure if Kroger would allow that (if they even have refusal rights).

I think VP is a bot not because of his deramping but because his comments are always almost identical and contain very little useful information. It's like the prompt for the AI is "post something generically negative about Ocado every day the share price drops by more than 1%".

I don't have a problem with negative people as long as they actually post something useful.

The first jump to 700 was semi-pumped due to that lone hedge fund manager buying up a large number of shares. It dropped back down to 570ish IIRC.

The rise now is much more organic and IMO is much less likely to drop down so easily.
