Indeed, which makes me wonder who is losing it!
£3. Music Magpie adds incredible synergy to BT. They will start flogging BT employees' old vinyl and DVDs and a new company dictat says that all proceeds must go to a share buy-back.
Whose decision was it to buy Music Magpie?
I was ISE (security expo) in Olympia last year and had a WTF moment when I saw that BT were there complete with an expensive looking souped-up Range Rover with antennas on the roof rack and people wandering around it with touchscreens. Something about anti-drone tech. I couldn't get a sensible answer out of the man why BT were getting involved in it. Did get a free hardback notebook though.
Google is a much much better source than LSE for historical share prices. 5 year high on their chart is 330p because Google correctly takes into account share issues etc.
And my thoughts are confirmed. Wayve is providing and developing the self driving tech. Ocado just allowed them to test it on a few of their vans.
Ocado Tech Solutions has bugger all to do with self-driving cars. No idea where you pulled that one from.
Just been reading the RNS. £5.1m in the bank and £5.6m equivalent annual cash burn. So basically we have until summer to get a deal it seems.
Thank you for that *incredible* post. So helpful.
Well, it was 250-400 pre-covid. Eventually I'm hoping it gets back to those levels. Of course, we had no SMR factor then, so I'm hoping for at least 250 post a big SMR announcement.
Unfortunately it speaks volumes that the BOD has bought bugger all.
Where's the "santa rally"? If I say "santa rally" a thousand times will it happen? What about if I post the words "santa rally" a hundred times? Santa rally santa rally santa rally.... etc etc
I understand the meaning of the word, but did you know for marketing purposes, many words are misused?
There's no such thing as sustainable aviation fuel. Any land passed over for growing aviation vegetable oil could have been used to grow food.
So are you saying that the best is behind us?
What?! A restricted grid ensures low power while moving around as well as convenient holes in the ground for passing goods to and from.
Having robots whizzing around in different directions does little to help this except add more moving parts in the form of steering that is liable to break and holes in the ground that need avoiding.
You come across as someone who has heard the word "AI" and think that somehow it solves everything. It does not, and I would reckon that a sufficiently advanced generative AI would design a system almost identical to what Ocado has at present.
Wow, absolutely brilliant post.
Automated delivery will never be the future unless/until it becomes noticeably cheaper than traditional shops. There is still a lot of manpower involved in packing and distributing those goods not to mention the customer having to be at home for deliveries.
I'm surprised as the list formatting is identical to that which comes from ChatGPT.
It even has the generic warning "it is important to note that the share price is also influenced by a number of other factors".
It also has an incredibly generic "Overall state of the economy: The overall state of the economy will also affect Rolls-Royce's share price. A strong economy will lead to increased demand for Rolls-Royce's products and services, while a weak economy will have the opposite effect." which most humans wouldn't bother with as it's so obvious.
Fair enough if it really is yours though! Just sounds incredibly like ChatGPT as I use it daily.
Svend, your initial reply below where you said "Here is a more detailed evaluation of the factors that could affect Rolls-Royce share price in February 2025: " reads exactly like something from ChatGPT IMO.
Is that true? If so, I think it would be good to say so.
