After my joy at GGP .... with the last quarters finance report and being too honest - maybe mine a bit less gold, at a slightly higher cost ... a hatchet job by some "analyst" Marcquerie??? saw GGP drop from 355 to 250p. (Yes, that was after a 20:1 consolidation .. so drop from about 17p to 12 p ).

anyway, enjoy the weather - sounds like rain next couple of days!

Hope you are all well, and those absent such as Sadact, Treacle, M etc. who used to be prolific posters during lockdown / volatile markets!

Those in GGP have probably read todays RNS of the first full quarter production since they bought Telfer mine & processing plant for A$450m late last year .... made A$458m revenue --> over A$200m profit Jan-Mar 25!

On their way up, good since I have tranches of GGP at 13p, 17p, 26p, 36 p ( didn't like to sell as it fell!!! Hate losing .. ) so nearly even!

Hope I can recover the losses from the X stocks as M called them ... SNG - suspended / going private, ARGO - dropped like a stone .. 92% down!, Cineworld - shares cancelled, ABDX - collapsed, still fighing but 85% down, hoping for new tests to sell and recover... 7DIG - bought out ( I lost! ), Deepverge - bought out, broke even ish!, DARK - sold just before the peak, nearly broke even!

Amateur investor, don't follw me!

Well,

A good day for GGP holders ( you still there Sad? and others?? ) GGP have bought the farm .... so ALL 100% of Haverion, ALL of the Telfer mine, the current 11mTe ore stockpile, AND the Telfer processing plant. Completed today.

So now GGP is a mid/major miner.

Also has thousands of square kilometres of good prospective ( some already scanned / drilled ) ...

Of course as usual, good news does not bring a spike / big rise!!!

My AIM stocks aren't tho'!

NCYT had a bit of a rally 2 weeks ago so I actually made a trade and profit - I had tried to average down and bought at 68p, price went up to 130 and I got 120 ish, so OK !! Still got some in the £3 tho oops!!

GGP is the big news - reverse takeover of the bits we want - Havieron mine/deposit, Telfer processing plant and mine, some other mines and prospects, ad the current owners ( Newmont took over Newcrest who GGP had JV with ) and these assets are "non core".

GGP buying for 475m ( $ or £ ??) and doing a raise right now, ends Thursday.

So worth a look those of you who still hold GGP and still visit here!

I'm still around and reading this occasionally, still holding stuff from late covid which have plummeted either on their own performances or as lockdown / covid receded! So well under water!

Good advice - don't trade with money you can't afford to lose!

I thought I had posted here around christmas, but seems not!

Glad to see a few of the old gang still about - O - enjoy Oz, one day I'll get there! n - we can read your chain of consciousness posts fine, glad you are still keeping on top of your holdings! T - nice to hear from you, hope all is well!

Anyway, on hols soon to Florida again, so forget this market and cold/rain for a bit!

Evenin' all!

Well, what a week!

Noticed DARK were low last week or two, and read there was a mooted takeover last Oct - Nov ... ( about the time MCRO were bought? ) thought about doubling my ( currently loss making by about 40%! ) holding ... didn't!

And today they announce an external audit says they are in fine shape and the share price jumps!

Just my luck.

And OCDO ... again saw they were down last few weeks, contemplating getting a few, didn't .. again! And on todays figures they jump up loads!

And tonight had message of a "rights issue " at 10p for ARGO ( currently 13p ) but offer must have ended earlier or at close of play so missed that too! Immediate 30% gain!!!

On other fronts, my 48p CINE now at 0.37p and in chapter 11 / bankrupt proceedings .. so lots down the pan there ( well, lots for me! ). And no shares for shareholders after they liquidate and move assets to Crown holdings to carry on the cinemas....

Lost out on 7DIG getting bought out a few months ago ... I held them at 1.7p ... company bought at 0.69p ... Doh!

GGP have lots of good news, more drilling and nearer to making gold production ... but sitting around 7p ... a lot of my holdings are in there teens so would welcome a rise!

I know some of you held MCRO .. hope you didn't get too badly bitten.

Most of my PF was small cap / AIM ... so all down.

Don't want to pump more cash into them really, or risk more capital playing the day trade as I haven't watched closely for a while.

Hope you are all well, and sorry to hear of personal losses ( not cash 0 some of you have suffered in recent months.

I'm still around here, but not done anything for months with my p/f.
I's still well down, but maybe some light ahead!
Nice to see some of your investments are ahead, good luck with the rest.

Although my small holding in DARK may be under threat with all the adverse news about them / financial reporting etc.!!

With latest GGP news I expected a rise, but not so, maybe 1p a couple of weeks ago but back down to the 7p range now.

Too many of my small AIM buys are 15-20% of their buy price, e.g. NCYT, SNG, ABDX, AGRO and CINE.
So hold and wait ...

Tempted to top up the account ISA and do a Treacle - play the swings even at the low levels SP they are now ... just need to get back focussed and read up!

Afternoon all,

Not been on here for a month or so, other things on and fed up with governments, inflation, chancellors budgets etc. .....

My pension pot is dropping 5 figures a month since that "mini budget", not good ... my pf is 1/3 of 15 months ago, even my fave GGP is down to 7.5p while most of my investments into it were 11p - 23 p ! Doh!!

Hope you are all OK, glad to see a few people still on here - T, ), N, wonder where M and S etc. are!

Well, I've got my tin hat on and hiding under a table right now! Just in case WWIII kicks off bigger than Hurricane Ian !

My p/f is very down, been down since May 21 but down lots more this last week or so! No trades as wary of putting more in, am not selling on a 80% loss!!!
Had been hoping for natural rise after the govt change but Friday last put an end to that for a few weeks / months....

Ohh well, as they say, "previous performance is no guarantee of future performance, shares may go down as well as up" ....

Just hoping all this BofE intervention on bonds doesn't affect my pension pot, if some of it is in bonds!

Hi All,

I'm back from 3 weeks in Sunny Florida, USA.
Airport security, lounges, flights, customs, travel to villa all great.
Only downside, despite all the Covid precautions the airlines want, I came down with Covid on day 3, other half on day 8, although she was generally fine and I was just tired and headache for 2 days. Meant 8-10 days isolated ... by the pool with a magazine, a beer and sun!

So we didn't do as much as usual / expected, like go out to eat ( deliveries need a USA post code / zip code to use a credit card .. Doh! ) so had to collect ... but the rest of hols was fun.

Scared to look at my P/F .... YES I DO hold CINE ( DOH!!! ) at around 40p ... and dark at around 550 I think .... not looked since back.

Nice to see a few of you doing OK on investments.
T - with MCRO you could get that Teneriefe appartment now!!! ;-)

T - thanks, counting the days until August and near 3 weeks of Florida sun, fun and parks.. including Gators! And lobster, crab, steak .... Yum!

Good news today on GGP - price for their JV partner to buy the potential 5% stake as part of the contract ... US $60 million!
And Haverion still keeps on getting bigger and worth more.... one day it'll produce gold and my ( and S if he still holds them ) will be worth a Tesla or two! My biggest holding and even that's down!

While last week you were on a roll call, I wonder where / how they are doing - M, S, L, and others I may have forgotten!

Nice and sunny here the last couple of days, perhaps summer is here at last!

Hols all sorted ( 3 years later than planned! ) so something to look forward to and get ready for.

Nothing exciting trading wise, holding off adding this years USA money as I am really not sure where everything is going... so my holdings look like investments for now even if most things are 30 - 60% down on purchase price 9 - 18 months ago!

So when the war ends, covid disappears for a while, supply chain issues end, inflation is under control, then the market may go back to "normal!

p/f down more so I won't bore you with that .... but what's happening with GGP down to 10p ... doh!

Good luck with all the travel plans, we're off in August to USA ... cancelled for last couple of years so hoping all goes well.
Hire cars - yes, even USA short of hire cars, nearly 50% - 100% increase in cost since last visit pre-lockdown ... but using Car On The Drive we get picked up at the airport, our car is already on our villa drive, and they take us back to the airport, and if we have too much luggage ( other half insists on filling her 3 case allocation !! Yes.first / business class ) they use a pickup or minibus for the transfer and pick up the car from the villa! Costs a couple hundred quid over just a rental, but seen so many issues with 2 hour waits for hire cars at the airport, we'll go this way!

Otherwise it's just carry on regardless.

Dull and wet here.

T - thanks. I don't mind intraday trading, it's harder when SP continues to fall .... SNG - yipee, 50% rise earlier on trial results review, hope it keeps going the right way ( profit takers already dropped price to under 40% rise ! ) and it would have been great to have bought a load at 22-24p .. didn't as they had been stagnant there for weeks.
My holding are in at about 180p !!

Morning all, Lurkers re-united lately!!! ;-))

Weather report - dull, cool, not yet raining.
Been doing stuff last couple of weeks too, garden, house and cat stuff... and got the full fibre to the premises installed
900mbs .. nice after 34 mbs for 4 years.

Didn't like the look of my p/f this morning... dropped more! Even GGP ... lowest for ages - over a year... I'm already overweight there ( over 50% of p/f in GGP ! ) otherwise would add more!!
CINE debt woes .. so prices dropped 30% ish over the week.
The others - ABDX, ARB, ODX, all down, SNG still down at its 24p level after the big fall from 190 a couple of months ago.

Some of these I DID buy more of on the dip and traded a couple of times as they moved up and down a couple of p, but even that is flat now or under the cost price.

SO watch and wait!
