Morning all,
Another scorcher here today, bright and hot sun!
Too hot in the house, was 26 downstairs and 29 upstairs yesterday, even with windows open and air con blasting ( portable one in hall! Trying to cool all of house! ).
T - yep, flights costs thru the roof!
Re Covid: I had an e-mail asking if I'd like to do that trial - take a test each day for 7 days and report to Public Health. 'Cos I got pinged as a close contact of someone with Covid .. the OH !! Their school job lost 3 bubbles last week, and on the twice a week test it came up positive on Friday. PCR test booked, result back Sat morning... positive - isolate! So we got to isolate too!
A doctor at the local hospital got covid last year, and died in weeks! Otherwise quite a few at school - parents, kids, etc. have over time had covid / had to isolate... it's bad when the kids are in different class years as it spreads rapidly, as it did last week !
OH is fine, bored and hot, isolated in one room and I am being a waiter! Seems like a mild flu / bit of a cold .... not breathless symptoms or coughing.
Yes, double jabbed, AZ, by early June. So did not stop "catching" the virus but does seem to be preventing the worst.
Not looked at p/f yet, was 25% down last week on both fund and ISA accounts! 8-(

Would you like to take part in a study to help reduce the number of people who have to self-isolate?
If you’re a contact of a COVID-19 case and choose to take part, you may be asked to take a test at home every day for seven days and only have to isolate if the test shows that you are infected.
If you want to know more or to sign up to the study please visit: https://snapsurvey.phe.org.uk/dcts
