Summer sports all over, back to reality. Until football season starts in a couple of weeks!
Anyway Rugby League championship final next weekend, and sprint race qualifying for Silverstone F1.

Wet and dull here, where's this heatwave!
Shares all quiet, GGP still creeping up, others staying still.

Well, our pay by date / go / no go decision has been put back to 25 July, so we can see how the "open" borders work.

The OH's workmate went to the airport for the approved test last night, £95, result in 3 hours ( can do by post but if it gets lost.... and takes longer ) and will have to do a local test at destination ( Spain or Majorca I think ) before coming home, then a cheaper ( £45 ) test here as in no rush ...

They fly off at 3:00 pm today ... so on way I guess!

Just confuses the taxi, park tickets etc. as have to pay for tickets now and may not be able to carry over to 2022, but if don't pay lose deposit and no park tickets IF we do get to go!
Messy, very messy!

Hi T,

Just waiting on call from agent for pay/don't pay! UK will let us back in ( USA apparently Amber ) if we do a paid for test before we come back and again a few days after returning, no quarantine required. Just will the USA let UK tourists IN mid august!
We're both double vaccinated and on app / can get the letter from NHS, but OH did have one shot of the Indian made AZ vaccine .. mine were both non Indian sourced, but that was a EU issue.

GGP trying to climb, some good progress pics of mine building, and appointed a new CFO this week.
Otherwise waiting for the "covid/Medical" stocks to kick up on approvals and orders etc. - ABDX, ODX, SNG, NCYT.

T - never know - Friday is P day - pay or don't pay for flights etc.
If don't pay, don't go and deposit carried over to next booking, unless Virgin cancel and it's cash back. Next years flights are stupid prices - £4000 each for economy classic, £10ooo for economy premium!!!! Shortage of villas too for Florida next year ( we have one already booked carried over from last year! ). This years villa carried over to 2023!!

I am sure I just saw on the news that BA and Virgin are to trial Fast Track lanes for double jabbed people ... presume less testing and queues?

T - USA aren't letting in UK/Euro tourists yet. Flights are still going ( USA citizens, other countries, business passengers etc. ) so flights not cancelled. When I pay the final bill, I'd only get a cash refund IF Virgin cancell the flight, else vouchers if it's just govt advice / USA border control requirements.

Parks are open at limited capacity, and masks only needed inside venues. Car hire is fine, tickets booked but not paid for.

Last year we had to carry over the deposits to this year, but a couple of things fell thru such as the villa now has 6 month occupancy so we were cancelled!

Have't done ESTA's yet or paid final bills ... all to play for on Friday!

Absolute downpour " Florida Rain" yesterday evening and over night, stopped now so feels fresh and crisp if a bit moist.

Pretty good F1 yesterday, loads of battles all thru the field. Funny how Mercedes are moaning now they don't have the way in front car .... and Hamilton moaning he isn't in with a chance as the car is not fast enough!!!
Probably was the car as seen by George Rusell's stand in drive in Lewis' car last year .. would have won if the pit crew hadn't messed up!! Should be a good season....

2 weeks ago - under 2000 cases a day / 1 death ... yesterday over 24000 cases I think. Whats is it, around 80% of over 18's jabbed, > 50% double jabbed? See some of the silly Europeans want to ignore those with the Indian made AZ vaccine ( OH had 1 jab that was from that batch, other from different manufacturer ) and both my jabs made elsewhere - would make a covid passport difficult!! Simply as the manufacturers hadn't applied for EU approval as it wasn't intended for sale/use in Europe ( so how did OH get it! ).

There is so much pressure from industry sectors, opposition government / parties and the public that I guess opening up has to be risked... carefully? The "trials" at events seem to have shown little spike in cases - it's generally kids spreading it ... 140,000 due at Silverstone in 2 weeks, as T says tens of thousands due at Euro's, Wimbledon etc.

Will find out this Friday if hols to USA will occur in August!

£51 petrol, bah, try 80+ a tank! 60l tank, £1,43 / gallon - shell V power+, 22 miles / gallon around the village!!! Was a bit better when i did 35+ miles a day commuting mainly on dual carriageways... then maybe 26 MPG !

Nice sunny day but boring on my shares ... and GGP dropping even further ( after I topped up yesterday, so my fault it dropped! ) is a pain.

Ohh well

Became really nice and sunny here this afternoon.

Topped up some higher priced GGP at 18p, for hopefully quick trades this week / next.
Sold this weeks SYME top up for 2.9% ... don't get excited it was only £45 !!!

8 trades this month, so back to the £11.95 trade price on HL.

Hopefully more volatility appears and I can get more trades in !!

I've been reading this board and watching my shares ... but as it's all red I don't want to bore you with the same comment each day!
Weather was OK today, nice and warm but raining heavily now.

F1 was OK over the weekend with a bit of gardening.

Trading wise, only made 6 trades in June, 2 today when I topped / averaged down on ODX and SYME ... so maybe a quick in and out on those tranches this week!

Wonder if we'll get an air corridor to USA by August ... will I get to Florida!!
Apparently there's a delta + variant going around now .... cases rising ( over 11000 yesterday vs around 2000 10 days ago ) mainly delta...
