It's that time the markets would usually get moving... "Go away in May, come back after Labor day" as our transatlantic cousins may say!

The weather here is .... Scorchio! Sat out with a magazine for a while to top up the tan ... away this weekend at a Red Dwarf convention! 2 1/2 days in a hotel, with covid precautions ( and beer! ). It's usually fun!

Thought I'd drop in as I haven't posted for a few days, although do come on and have a read to see how you are all doing.
Don't want to bore everyone with my poor portfolio, but it's changed a bit last week!
As said above, GGP starting to creep up ( wish I HAD bought a load more at 16p, now at 18.8p! ), and made a few disposals / top ups last week / end of August to get the HL dealing price down.

Rest of ( cheap ) ABDX sold for 93% profit, as they were falling ( so missed over 10p/share - would have been 136% !! ) but as they are now 10p lower, did OK.
Sold some lower cost ODX too for a small 4$ profit.
Sold 1/2 the SYME for 10% profit.
Then bought back ODX, SYME ( SYME @ 25% cheaper ) at lower price, and averaged down on 2 long term stranded shares ( bought on a spike - UFIO and 7Dig ) hoping to get them into the current trading range.
Watching ABDX and NCYT for lows, ABDX still falling but NCYT seems to be trading 390 - 380 over a day or two so worth watching.

Not been paying enough attention lately as it's a bit boring and short of capital until sell more but there are hopeful movements!

KNEW I should have sold the rest of ABDX at 70 ... hey dropped slowly to 57p now... still 95% up but ....
And should have bought another 50000 GGP at 16.2p, now risen to 17.8 today!!! But I am heavily overloaded with GGP.... so resisted.
Otherwise OBX I am in profit on a tranche, not in the other tranche.

Yes n, t'was me with ABDX.
Watching them today, missed the 74p moment, was going to sell at 70p, waited a few minutes, back down to 67, then 65, then 63, up to 68, then down to 63 for the rest of the session. Missed a chance. Only a few hundred quid in it, but well... probably being greedy and following the "pumpers" on the ABDX board! Still well up on the cost price of 29p so happy to watch and sell tomorrow!

Looks like SNG and NCYT are slowly moving up as well .... must be something in the wind about needing more antigen or antibody quick tests now if the double jabbed vaccinated start to lose protection after 5-6 months as said on BBC news....

N - As T said, I use ( on HL ) a couple of buy or sell limit sell / buys at the price I think they may reach and other as a hedge.

So if I want to sell 10,000 shares, I may set sell 2000 at 100p, sell 3000 at 250p, sell 5000 at 300p. Usually based on the buy price / tranche of shares as S would say!
Same for buying. Blocks at the price you want. Only problem is costs / fees / stampy.

O - good old Pen(ny) Farthing - MUST be an Army nickname! ( or cruel parents! ). The OH has been watching the plight of the rescued pets so well done that man.

Been away a couple of days to eldest's place of residence post Uni! Durham. And Beamish living museum. Ig great sunshine!
Not caught up on chatter here but got as far as n's mention of ABDX - yes i have ( had ) a lot, at various prices, and I see from my mail a limit sell went through last night at the close ... Most of them at 63.5p for over 11% profit, after a few weeks waiting! Still got 3000 left at 28p to sell on ... not sure why those didn't go too! Argh, I must have not set a limit sell for the cheaper shares .. shame! SO >100% profit on these 3000 shares in the morning, barring a dramatic collapse!
I think it was based on the approval of a self test antigen test.

Interesting, my p/f looks better, up even if overall still down.
Look what happens when i go away for a day or two!

Nice to see NCYT rise on the back of good 1/2 year financials an forecast. Maybe soon reach the dizzy heights of £10+ !!!
The health / covid shares - ODX, ABDX, SNG are waiting on approvals or orders.... hopefully on the rise soon!

Morning all,
T - Sunny day for gardening so not really watched SYME after mid morning! They shot up to .49, then fell back .34.
My limit sell went off at .426 so 12.8% profit, only about £200 on the 1/2 million shares!!! Missed the spike as limit sell had worked, and didn't buy back in at the 0.34 I saw... now about 0.38 again!
Still got a 1/2 million at 0.41 I should have sold but had limit sell at 0.5 on those!!! Doh!

Cheers T. Yes, pretty much everything I watch have been dripping down slowly the last few months. Shame I got caught trading at a higher price so am holding.... no real spikes and shakes and as I am generally 20 - 30% down on my holdings it would take quite a bit to recover!

I am really out of touch right now - been off here / HL too much lately! SYME - 45% rise today, 2 sets of price extensions this afternoon, their chat board seems to think ( a leak ? ) good is coming!

I forgot it's Thursday today .... so I'll have to be on it at open!

Actually it's .371 I am in at SYME ... as it reached .4 at close - not sure how they did this afternoon, I had a limit sell set at .41 which didn't activate .. but looking better!

It is a bit quiet in here lately, including me!
Everything fine, just bored watching the stranded shares not moving up!

T - Yeah, SYME moving up quite a bit, but fell from .4 to .24 over last 2 weeks ish, so needs to climb a bit more - I am in at .34 so no nice profits for me there yet!!!!

Weekend coming, been sunny and nice most of today!

Odd weather here today, on and off sun and gloom.

T - yes, probably good that we aren't on the way to Florida right now with the amount of Covid cases there, and increasing. OH is fine now, 2 LTF tests since last week were negative and no hangover symptoms.

Who is buying Morrisons .. isn't that American capital fund ... they "promised" not to sell/lease back the property portfolio etc.

Looks like we had some rain overnight here!

Market a bit damp too... no trades for me likely today!!! ARB are holding their own, with bitcoin rises hoping for a jump there.

GGP - all the good news etc. and they fall further back .... looking likely it'll be on these levels until the actual mining starts / produces the gold stuff!

We need China to calm down calm down ... Covid to go away, and businesses open up and get on with it!

PS - Our self isolation / OH's quarantine ended at midnight, OH wasn't really but did get the fatigue and stiff back.. now a cough which NHS ( who called every couple of days! ) said may last a few weeks but not infectious!
So back to near normal for us. Youngest has had txt saying he cam bring his 2nd jab forward, so arranging that today ( mid Aug from Mid Sept ).

Think it was about my trading pot of GGP, cost 18p so when they hit hi 19's again its a few hundred quid in the bank, repeat.

Had been watching ASC, from discussions on here, would have bought in the drop to £49, so again would have spiked myself!!!

T - yeah, was going to be 2020 & 2021, then became 2021-2022, now 2022-2023 all being well!
Hardly lost any deposit (apart from the car firm going under - brit ex-pats who collected you from airport and had your hire car on the drive of your villa! Great service! ). And that was only £100. Would lose rest if we just cancel but all firms / villa owners OK with moving on a year or two!

We have done Florida / 192/27 area near Davenport / Kissimmee annually since about 2013, family or just us two; even took the kids mates with us twice as their family were not interested / couldn't afford .. so they just covered their kid's flight and tickets as we had the villa and car anyway!
