Well, must have been a HL glitch - I now have 2 entries for ABDX, my original shares have returned! And the 835 are on a second line albeit no value - not sure how to accept the offer!

Weather bad here too, no storm damage as far as I know!

N - Bloomberg HD, I watch it on SKY on channel 502. Quite useful!

T - Saw the Pfizer news on Bloomberg, says 3rd jab gives 25 fold increase in antibodies so similar to original 2 doses, and will work well on Omnicron....

ABDX - can't find any new info / RNS or announcements here, but my 20000 shares have become 835 this morning showing NO value and a note under the name saying Open Offer Entitlement .. and an info button saying this share does not currently have a stock market listing.
Any ideas what's happening - looks like a consolidation? But an odd ratio! On HL - can't see any corporate messages nor secure messages about any options?
ABDX were doing a placing this month / open offer, but as shares held by HL I didn't get any notification?

Morning / afternoon all,

Very dull, dark, windy wet and cold here today.

My p/f is down about 18% and 22% based on capital across the 2 accounts ( fund and ISA ) and about 24% and 32% based on shares held/cost !!!
And it was well over 40% up last year / by xmas, largely based on GGP.

I am using about 15-20% of capital to day/swing trade, teh rest is tied up in shares I got at a higher price when trading and they dropped and I held on / averaged down ...... so now an investor rather than trader on those! All though as Isee the same share trading in a range even if below my high priced ones I trade the same share but at lower price! If price rises enough I can sell some of the old holding. If it gets close and loss is small enough I can sell the old shares.

Up 12% on CINE at the moment, about flat on 1/2 ABDX and 1/2 ODX holding ... DARL well down and last of the NCYT well down!

GGP being my biggest holding has a large effect on the p/f value.. obvs!

N - are B&Q sheds any good, was going to get a new one this year but will wait to next year now probably, it's rotting a bit at the bottom panels - only 2 sheds in 24 years though from a local shed firm who construct it on site too.

Also slide in fence panels likely needed next year too!

Had one look at my p/f and left it alone! Mostly well down, just a few quid up on CINE and ODX...

Really cold, wet and windy all day.
Had power trip first thing, no idea what it as once reset.
Then Internet went off for a couple of hours about 2 pm.

Ohh well...

Thanks T, glad I didn't buy back in to NCYT quickly as that would have been around 400p, or 370p ... so I'd be stuck a little again!

ODX on a charge, a few rumours - maybe CEO sacked?, got a new sales contract, got approval to sell etc. Something going on, gone from 22p yesterday to over 30p today! I grabbed a load at 24p !!
Cine settling around 51p for now...

N - I joined the Cineworld trial of Unlimited, and saw 4 films in Nov, ( Venom 2, Halloween kills, Dune and Eternals ) and for 2 of those I was the only one in the room!!! Private viewing as the attendant said!
Several more films to catch during Dec including new Spiderman, new Matrix, new Ghostbusters, Resident Evil, so at £6 - £11 a seat depending on time you go, easily covers the £15 / month subs! And discount on the popcorn, drinks and hot dogs! Shame the Wetherspoons next door closed on Sunday ... convenient for a cheap quick lunch and drink before the cinema!

On trading a falling share... I could have sold my 580 NCYT at 480 and bought back more / cheaper at 370 today.
So lose £1000 on 1000 shares, then buy back for £1000 less than sold ( £2000 less than originally ).
In same position with number of shares ( maybe even 10% more shares! ) and even on cash but much better position to trade them from.

Shame I didn't do that, I expected more of a rise to £6 ....

Ohh well, I still don't like selling at a loss in the hope it falls more, lost a few times last year doing that !!!

Cold dull and rainy here. Brrrr ... at least the snow and ice have gone for a few days!

T - I have been spending the NCYT money and topped up several of my trading / long er term holdings - doubled ABDX as they fell ? 26% on the placing today, had added CINE at 47p yesterday, now 9% up on a few thousand shares so not a lot of cash profit but some! Added 50% more to ODX while they are flattened in the 20p's .... and topped up a couple of the tiddlers that fell after good news!

Yes, NCYT fell back from 480's to 379's over 2 days, if I could believe they will rise again in the next couple of weeks I would have bought back - about 30% more shares ( for your example to N above! ) or 1000 shares and £1000 spare!

Covid - I would have thought the numbers posted on proportion on sick / hospitalised people that are unvaccinated would help drive others to get the jab. Escalation of booster jabs will help too, as will new versions of the jabs in 3 months.
As long as people do follow the distancing & mask rules it may not be too bad... although xmas / party time / shopping / family time will be a bog test.

After yesterdays snow, froze over night and really cold, zero or below! Cars all iced up in the road so noisy early morning... scrape scrape...
Nice surprise this morning, my 450p NCYT shares had sold on limit sell at 482p .. so profit after many months ( since April 21)! So near 7% there, and they have fallen back to 420's now.... spike and shake if I fancy buying back... but still some 580p NCYTs to shift on....

GGP up, seems Diageo, Jet2, Fevertree and even CCL going up, SNG up again into mid 190's ... shame most of my trading shares are still under water. OCDO and Plus500 up a bit too...

M - eeegghhh bah gum, we were so cold we had two rub two whippets together to get warm. We all huddled round a candle to warm a pot of cold gravel for us teas ... eheh sorry, northern humour ( and a bit of Monty Python! ).
Careful with teh freezer grub if part defrosted... food poisoning.... betterto have a great big meal to use it all safely quickly rather than refreezer!
Perhaps you need a power generator to feed the house or specific power points.....

T - thanks re: trees... probably worth asking house insurance if covered for tree falls or weather damage. Get in a PROPER aborealist / tree surgeon ( not some labourer with a chain saw! ) for advice.. that's what I did and well worth it.

Been out for pub lunch - mixed grill and a pint... so quite lethargic now!

Really heavy wind Friday night, Saturday, luckily no damage bar a few branches off a 25 year old pine tree ( it IS massive in the corner of the garden, grown from a little seedling from Windemere when the eldest was at infant school! Glad I paid ( a lot ) to get it trimmed 18 months ago, as I was worried it would blow down and take out several garden fences / my shed etc.!

Snowing since before lunch today, stuck a while then melted tea time ish. But now freezing .. had to defrost a car just now ...

Cold and raining here, pretty dull too.

Well, several of my shares are further down - DARK, ARB, even GGP. CINE dropping further... agree with TD - bad timing to get in / top up there! Just got my Cineworld Unlimited card too!

I have opposite "problem" with NCYT - I made 10% yesterday, but as price is up near another 20% ( up 50p during market close overnight! ) today on news their instant PCR test has been approved, I would have made 30% !! Still a way to go for my other 2 more expensive tranches.
M - we'll get there soon!!!

T - Sorry to CCL SO far down.... annoying. They'll bounce back so you can have your Tenerife villa for summer!

Hi M,

Yeah, saw ODX do a lemming dive.... was out of cash to top up cheaply ( some held at 50p! ).

Just before close, NCYT delivered a 332p sale for me ... 9.8% profit ( after nearly 2 months! ). Still got the expensive NCYT though......

Very cold but dry and sunny here,

Ouch! ODX falls over 32% on 1/2 year financial report - end of Govt. contract and widening losses. My poor p/f! Looks like 2023 before I am in profit. Thoughts this may impact ABDX and NCYT too ..... ( NCYT seems steady over 300p so far .. ABDX about same as earlier this week ).

NCYT would have gained me about 90 so I held, it hasn't fallen back yet - still around 310 - so perhaps more rise tomorrow?

Dull cold, windy, rainy here.
Bit like my p/f! Everything down .. esp. GGP.

SO bought a few more GGP at the offer price this morning, see they are moving up slowly now so should be useful trade later!
CINE looking poorly, so grabbed a few of those too for a hopefully quick trade. Hasn't been much volatility / SP movement there for the last few weeks I have been watching them again ... glad I didn't jump in last week at 64p!

Otherwise wait in the continued rise of NCYT, and the bounce up for the "X" shares .. ODX and ABDX... maybe SNG !

NB - True, the "big name" posters may come out in force tomorrow .... I think, having just read 6 pages of GGP forums that there may well be a need to speed up the drilling and access decline, or stake a claim in outlining areas GGP don't "own".

Or a major cash crisis! Doubtful.

Not sure if those guys get the dilution? Or I don't! More shares divided into market cap = a dilution .... not the price of the offer, IMHO.

Suppose I better set up Primary bid, as a couple of offers I was fairly interested in but didn't know how to access ... not same as rights issue in old paper system!

As often happens, SP will fall to below the offer price tomorrow even if over subscribed, then rise quite a bit I expect....

Ohh well, all part of the game. GGP holders may do well out of this before xmas, or the longer term gain may be advancing .....

NB - Missed the RNS on the raise, although the LSE board / share news must have the proce wrong at 145p .. should be 14.5p I guess. Yes, the RNS says 14.5p. Institutions AND retail....

Ohh well, hammers my pf ( I hold too much in GGP, like over 50% of capital !! ) unless they rebound soon. Been good to me as I have traded them for 18 months and a good holding at a good price for the future!
