n - well done on the record highs in p/f. Obvs doing something right!
Re: how much to buy in a share at at time .. I found buying a small amount - a few hundred shares for example - didn't work too well, as needed a large SP increase to make much profit, especially if they were cheap shares ( in the 0.x or x p's ). Needed a massive % increase to make a gain.
I tried, when prices allowed to go for 1000, a couple '000 or 5-10k shares depending of SP. So probably investing several £k's at a time on pound shares ( like ARB, SNG at the time etc. ). I'd buy more if they were cheaper like GGP at 11p, then probably a few £k's for 20,000 shares or whatever.
I look at the price change for each 1p or 10 p SP rise .. so on 1000 shares it's £10 for 1p rise, £100 for 10p rise ... of course only really likely to get 10p rise on £1+ shares, 1p rise on 10p - 50p shares very roughly! For sub penny shares even some 0.0x p changes can be worth it. E.G. SYME - bought at 0.37p, sold 0.44p, 500,000 shares cost £1850 and sold for £2200 so profit £350. If only had 100,000 shares then profit £70.
I do worry about buying expensive shares, like ASC at near £50, FEVR or OCDO over £20. Then it's a few hundred maybe up to 1000!!
Anyway, all down to risk appetite and the range in SP of the share.
Not advice, just how I have been playing it, until during trading I buy just before a drop. Anyone want any NCYT at 580p ??
Have a good weekend all!
PS OH and I both had 2nd jabs today, I was chauffering, the admin team said I could go in for mine, so did! All good!
