Mullaney , so it`s quite acceptable for AP appear in Pod Casts , Issue upbeat news flow , Positive RNS `s , accept phone calls from enthusiastic private (small) investors when everything is looking positive and he can keep investors funds rolling in ?
BUT ~
As soon as the reality of the dire state of the Company , it`s financial position and even it`s possible survival becomes apparent , investors should then support the individual who got them into this position by respecting his privacy , and not bothering him with their concerns ?
IMO ~ You don`t know much about human nature , and worse still appear to be chastising the victims rather than idiot who created the problem .

over the last week or so I feel that more and more shareholders are getting much more nervous about the next spin of the roulette wheel , even though you can`t bet on 88 !
At a Mkt Cap of a paltry 50 m GBP , I think failure to deliver this FO is already priced in . IF , the preferred bidder walks we have been assured that there are others waiting , but my concern is that DW may try to drive too hard a bargain . Alternatively , the bidder may be trying to drive a deal that is quite unacceptable (perhaps intentionally?) with the alternative objective of making a bid for the whole .
fwiw ~ I can`t help feeling that we are very vunerable at this stage , asset rich / cash poor .
A bid for the whole (which might trigger counter offer / s ) surely can not be dismissed .
These next few weeks are likely to be a watershed in the fortunes of those invested , so hardly surprising that there is both nervousness and a strong sense of expectation , especially when so many investors currently seem to be underwater (myself included) .
The good thing is ~~~ not long to wait , for long awaited news !

There are so many `BUTS` !
I think the sorting out is more likely to be a result of the efforts of Mr Fletcher , who knows , except whatever decisions are taken , and most seem to have some negative connotation , I`m resigned to the fact that this isn`t going to be some overnight transformation ..

I`m curious to know why he`s taken a c. 5% stake .
It obviously hasn`t been difficult to find the stock at these prices .
It hasn`t done anything for the share price - yet .
Surely it can`t be just because Bud is a Buddy of AP , or could it ?

Thanks Stockable for confirming what most people (and clearly the market) are expecting .
It`s just a question of how much , what`s the level of dilution and how the market reacts .
When those issues are resolved a long list of further questions emerge and how those may be addressed by the restructuring .

Some interesting commentary this morning , especially refreshing after yesterday`s childish stupidity .
Hopefully a bit of a rise in the sp as we close in on the AGM and the desired partnership .

This is true , but in essence we already knew that .
What also seems clear to me is that ; `The many alternative partners to Mercuria ` do not seem to be in any hurry to step in with their support , or that was just another figment of AP`s imagination ?
Even with disposals to alleviate the debt position , I expect we will have to stomach yet another cash raise and at this price I expect it to be punitive .
Hopefully some encouraging news soon , but I`m beginning to think this is turning into a very long term prospect .
Perhaps there`s hope Bud`ding with our new c.5% investor .

The concern that I have is that during the last 9 months or so we have seen a dramatic shrinkage in our Mkt Cap .
Fortunately , we have also witnessed a steady rise in the poo , and all our oil is still in place , excluding a few sample jars of the black stuff !
Wouldn`t you just love to know the detail that`s being negotiated here ?

Just a further thought occurs to me that should the `Preferred Partner` turn out to be `Un-preferred Predator` !
then I suppose DW could throw ALL the detailed logistics , 3d and acquired geo information into the public area in the hope of stimulating a bidding war .
If THAT turns out to be the case lets hope he has more success than he had in trying to stimulate IW2 ;)
Hopefully we will just get some decent Farm in .

WAussie ; I think I raised the same question when the Mkt Cap was around 85 m GBP , today the Mkt Cap is c. 50 m GBP .
Compounding the risk of an opportunistic bid is surely ; the decline in interest and enthusiasm for the Company (note recent cap raise ) Lack of definitive proof of concept , Requirement of additional future funding , and shareholding completely dominated by PI`s .
Why pay 200 m for say 75% interest when you might be able to pay 300 m for 100% without a bunch of pesky PI`s and an interfering DW , and the possibility , eventually , of a nice fat rebate from GoA ? Having spent months looking at the detailed potential these possibilities must have occurred to the `Preferred Partner` . However the Preferred Partner might might not turn out to be the Preferred Bidder , and to some extent we may have the protection of BEX as a shield against unwanted advances . On the other hand , there must be quite a large %age of disillusioned PI`s who would be happy to call it a day if they could just get their money back .
Bottom line ; I think we will see some action soon , DW just has to do something soon to bolster the sagging Mkt Cap .
