Gary : You are far too polite .
Perhaps on his next trip to find a `Thia Bride`, he`ll pop into a local take away for some `Bloefish and Chips`.
He better hope that the chef knows what he`s doing , it's a fish packed full of lethal toxins called tetrodotoxin. You can eat it when the toxins are removed , but only the most skilled chefs are capable of making sure all have been removed.
Tetrodoxin is a tasteless, odorless, and colorless neurotoxin that won’t decompose even when heated up to 300 degrees. `Bloefish` skin, ovaries/gonads, and liver contains enough poison to kill 30 people !
There is no cure for tetrodotoxin intoxication: if you ingest it , you’re pretty much doomed because there’s no known antidote. It can’t be treated with blood serum as you would with a snake bite. There are cases of people living for six hours following a lethal dose, but that's it .
We can but hope there is a trainee Fryer at the `Chippy` !
Positive ~ I agree , but quite understandably a little bland . There is no way Malcy would be able to release any price or commercially sensitive information prior to an RNS from the Company itself .
So no more , or less , than I would have expected .
Malcy ~ Should you read this thread : As a blogger whose reputation is dependent on the quality of your posts , I recommend that you proof read them before you post them . imo .
Compared with A ,D .V .F .N ( which seems to tolerate all forms of abuse profanities and foul language ) I normally find that the LSE threads are supported by well meaning decent posters who simply wish to learn or share information . Unfortunately , for some reason , which I am at a loss to explain , this particular thread became as distasteful as tertiary syphilis after being infected by two or three suspect individuals .
Usually this becomes a terminal disease , so hopefully as the share price improves their disingenuous rhetoric should just die away .
Good luck to all the genuine posters here who have held their nerve , and their shares , through a difficult development phase .
Moneyhawk : `Unfortunately` ~ you have summed up precisely my own thoughts about the current position with 88e :(
I never thought that we would be in this position post the FO .
65p/.70p ! Very disappointing and there would seem to be so little prospect of any dramatic improvement until we start to drill next year . Absolutely not the outcome I imagined , BUT , as you say , a good result from Charlie and everything changes big time . I also agree , please , no more leases .
Nobody (?) doubts the quality of the assets . It`s the quality of management that is in serious doubt .
You can have the finest quality assets in the world , but if you have no money to develop them , they are effectively worthless .
Is finance in Plan ~B~ C ~ D ~ or just a wish , hope and prayer for PI`s ? (It is not a critical issue for Prelea)
Show me the money before the the piggy bank is empty , AGAIN , and the next inevitable round of dilution . Just ~~~
Show me the money .
Perroverde : What`s your agenda here ?
No slander from me , just serious criticism of an incompetent CEO that issued misleading statements and cost myself and probably many other private investors a lot of money .
Hello Castaway , I read your post very carefully because you seem to be quite irritated by my earlier comments . Unfortunately all I read is justification of my critique . For example :
~~"what I have stated is that he delivers deals and IMO he will deliver the Marange HC and finance for that and BP"~~
I`m sorry but if you read your own post again very carefully , you will see that it`s full of contradictions and in my opinion a lot of confusion , other than your fervent determination to support Vast , warts and all , no matter what . Perhaps you don`t or wont see it and I fully understand that, your prerogative . However surely that is just your wish and hope there is absolutely no evidence that he will raise funds , and plenty of evidence to suggest that the odds are stacked against his being able to raise the appropriate finance . Quality finance is what the future of VAST (for private investors) crucially depends . Nope , he`s not a mining expert , and recent history suggests that he is far from a financial expert .
You probably do know much more about Vast than I do , but that doesn`t mean the decisions that you make will prove to be the right ones . From the `little` that I know Vast is proven to be a disastrous investment both pre and current Prelea .
Anyway good luck to you , as I said ; I wont be in the least offended if you come back and say `i told you so` .
Tuesday 18.42 ~ Thanks Angus .
This is clearly not a happy place . I am not going to make anymore `Beep ~ Beep` posts . They were made in a light hearted way , but based on fact to ridicule the outrageous incompetence of Prelea and his toothless Directors . They were also intended to expose what I believe to be the `stupidity `of a small group of posters who seemed to me to be infatuated with the mesmeric effect of Prelea and his promises of riches tomorrow (or perhaps the next day) . All those posts of impending success seem to me to be predicated and absolutely conditional on financial support . Lee Morris`s posts today are classic examples : "Once in production". Of course nobody has a clue as to wether that finance will ever be forthcoming . It seemed / seems to me that Prelea has some kind of svengali influence over a few of his passionate supporters and the only explanations that I can come up with are really bad ones .
As we know Prelea can`t lose and I suppose some people `Close` to him may feel that they could benefit from favour of some sort or another . I don`t want to see anyone lose money , but I also don`t want to see people seduced into supporting a lost cause . Perhaps if some had sold when I started the daft Beep~Beep posts and the sp was around .25 they could have already bought their holding back with a small cash reserve to exploit future direction / or not .
I`m not trying to score points , I just think this has all become quite serious and is no longer any joking matter .
Even IF the HC project does get started I suspect it is also going to need finance before it starts to make any worthwhile contribution to FCF . The position with BP seems to me to be even more precarious , I believe cash is urgently required . As Dodge very correctly points out ; this is a gamble , a big one . I hope it works out for those still chasing the dream .
So no more `Beeps`, but I will certainly continue to levy criticism against this incompetent BoD and those who would have us believe they have more privileged information than the rest of us and taunt us with the mantra that `If you don`t like AP I`m not going to tell you ` .
Just how childish is that ? So childish in fact that some of these people now wont come to the playground and explain their thinking , supported with FACTS , probably because they have no facts , perhaps it`s an ego related issue , perhaps because they feel exposed .
One person said he resented being called stupid , all because he did make a stupid comment , how stupid is that !
Despite my disdain for that kind of behaviour , I do hope those people turn out to be right . I`m looking forward to the posts that say :` We told you so ~~~"
but i ain`t holding my breath .
Good luck .
Not unexpected ~ but ~ `potentially` VERY disappointing .
Assuming a share issue :
1. I hope it`s not below .6p
2. Usually the sp dips below the issue price
3. Usually shares are presold , which may explain the current .7p
4. In view of the recent FO , could institutions have been persuaded to join the partnership and will hold a long term stake ?
Perhaps DW has in fact negotiated a dreamy creamy deal , which will more than compensate for the lack of cash from the FO and then of course the question is :
How much ,and what does he plan to do with it ? ~~ fingers crossed .
Piker : If it all wasn`t so sad , it would be quite an entertaining comedy on here .
BUT : On a very serious note , I have a pittance left after losing quite a lot in the fall from .60 to c. .30 , I feel really concerned for those who have invested their hard earned money and yet retain a serious holding in this Company . I understand some of those reasons why they might have held out for a better outcome . Not least has to be the attraction of the undoubted potential value in VAST`s asset base . That I do not doubt . The main problem is that the Company has no working capital and no cash flow . That problem has been compounded by incompetent management .
I believe there is at least one poster on here that has heard this very dangerous statement in another place at another time , a statement usually constructed to pour oil on troubled waters but fails to provide any consideration or security for the private investor :
~~~"As I say, the company has specifically advised me " ~~~
It amounts to nothing and when the CEO of the Company has effectively driven the business into the ground and worse still when the CEO has absolutely ZERO credibility as a consequence of a litany of dishonourable , misleading , unfulfilled promises and guidance .
I find in Vast some frightening similarities with the Company to which I obliquely refer , which eventually ended in administration and with the Directors and a few in the loop walking off into the sunshine leaving many shareholders with a life changing experience , some of whom became destitute . The FCA did nothing .
I think I am entitled to speak here because the hype and the `promises` from this Company contributed to my losses .
~~~" As I say, the company has specifically advised me "~~~
Directors are never going to give the heads up that they are desperate for cash , that their `strategy`(?!) is in tatters , or their negotiations have collapsed . I`m certainly not trying to tell people what to do , only that in my experience :
`Be VERY wary of these AIM Companies `; and never forget that ;` Something is always better than Nothing` .
(IF it ever does start to come good , I`m sure people would still be able to jump back in . Again NAI .)
Good luck Piker , and good luck to all the other decent but understandably disappointed investors here .
16.58 ~~~ What a childish , vacuous post !
`I`m right , and when people didn`t applaud me for my opinionated research , superior information and in depth knowledge of all things VAST ~~~~~
I just started to cry and threw all my toys out of my pram `.
Good Grief ~~~ judging by the voluminous verbiage posted today it really DOES look like some shipwreck S.O.S .
I don`t know if I can find the time to read through much of the long winded self justification stuff .
I doubt that I will have missed anything of consequence .
My suspicion is that the Prelea Army is out on the offensive today because ` The CEO of The Year ` (you know ~ the one who has achieved the highest level of dilution in one year ) has cracked it AGAIN by managing to raise a few more quid ~~~
Presumably of course involving even more dilution .
What`s in the air today ; Consolidation ? Privatisation ? Dilution ?
Perhaps an air of panic today ,
because there is that strong smell of fish from crabs castaway on the lee shore in the calm sea of that vast deserted island .
~~~ "invest more in Vast, huge upside here."~~~
Truly a `High Risk Strategy ` , VERY high risk , imo .
The problem here is Prelea .
He is surely the only one in a win win situation .
Perhaps Prelea IS pulling out all the stops to get VAST moving , perhaps he is pushing for the Marange go ahead , perhaps he has got finance for Romania as a must win , perhaps he is developing BP as quickly as funds permit . Success on these fronts would probably ensure that he could retain control , retain his `VAST` salary and continue to develop and exploit both Rom and ZIM potential .
On the other hand , by pressing ahead with the issues facing the Company he is certainly benefiting from his salary while at the same time ensuring that whatever happens to VAST , HIS personal interests are both advanced and secured .
In that context I`m not sure that he cares a toss wether Vast makes it or not .
Based on historical , factual evidence of achievement here the issue for investors and more importantly for `Investing` is :
Do you trust the judgement , skills , and integrity of the CEO ~ A Prelea ?
