This sounds so familiar :
" Build that Wall" ....... "And who`s going to pay for it ?"........." Westminster " !
What I would like to know is ; how does Scotland plan to :
1. Deal with their current debt and overspending (Particularly on education and health .)
2. Meet the fiscal requirements of an Independent Scotland .
2. Manage their future financial requirements without Westminster funding .
Perhaps Mr Plum could elucidate ?
(Please don`t say : N Sea oil , Joining the EU , or Nuclear base charges .)
Terrier ~~~ I find your post somewhat in line with my own thinking .
About four weeks ago I posted :
~~~ "I believe that the MM`s have been messing around with the trades and the spread since the last holdings declaration . So
I suspect we may see a TR1 before the end of the week .
Either an addition to current declared holdings , or possibly even a new major investor ." ~~~
I was wrong , we did not !
However the trading since 12th November has only served to further fuel my curiosity .
I am i no doubt that many PI`s have either reduced or even completely sold out , some have admitted as such , and some I note no longer post on here ( a more dignified position ) . The consequences have been obvious with a gradual decline in the SP . What is not clear is the extent to which these shares have been absorbed and by whom .
IF , an entity had placed some very significant order four weeks ago perhaps it has still not been filled and would then not be required to be reported .
I wouldn`t bet on that , I was wrong before !
BUT , this is AIM and everyone should know by now that just about anything goes . I remain suspicious of the trading pattern here and when big trades do pop up with little sp impact , it just gets my `Spider Senses` tingling !
Anyway , it must be getting close to some News flow , so the `Doctor` is possibly on a pretty safe bet to enhance his tipster reputation .
GL fellow sufferers who are determined to stay the course !
The way I see it :
* IF , 38 were a total disaster they would have been required to RNS by now .
* IF , they were still testing , it would be perfectly reasonable (sensible) for them to wait until tests were complete .
* IF , there had been some improvement with 16 they would be required to RNS .
* if , 3D had been completed they would have been required to RNS .
* IF , and when they sell the oil in storage , they will be required to RNS .
* IF , there had been a material change in their finances / operations plan they would have been required to RNS .
* IF , there were preliminary ongoing talks about an acquisition , contract or T/O they may be bound by confidentiality agreements .
Of course all the above may be ongoing and /or incomplete , in which case they would not necessarily be required to update the market until they have been completed .
This is a very painful time for shareholders , but after the 16 fiasco I fully understand just why the BoD are staying tight lipped until they can report with competence and total honesty , hopefully with some seriously positive news . Another PR charade like 16 would be nothing short of disastrous .
I`m as frustrated as others , but remain very positive about the final outcome because there is so much more to come ;
AF, JF , BAGO , 3D and their drilling program next year could see a dramatic turn in fortunes .
My hope is that positive information is managed in stages and released via several different RNS .
1. 16 update ~~~ c. 7P / 9p
2. 38 positive result ~~~ c. 10p / 12p
3. Oil production / sale ~~~ c. 12p /14p
4. 30 Spud ~~~ 14p / 16p
5. Gas connection /sales ~~~ 16p / 20p
[ 6. Takeover ? ! ~~~~~~ Pick a number not less than 34p :)) ]
Who knows , but I do think we only have a little fundamental or potential asset value priced in at the moment .
The deafening silence has clearly impacted the attraction and share price here , but news before Christmas seems highly probable .
Somewhere between `Oldman` and `Burkinhead` !
~~~ Sorry , but I doubt he knows anymore than most of the better researched posters on here , which is of course is where he might have developed his opinions . By expressing his views in the vulgar vernacular , you might imagine something rather unpleasant was "coming down the pipe" !
Of course it is very likely that we will have news before Christmas , and I also believe in a positive outcome .
~~~" How can the company hope to pique interest in the business if they do not keep us appraised?"~~~
*Perhaps they don`t want/need to .
*Perhaps because preliminary T/O negotiations are going on .
*Perhaps they are still testing .
They`ve certainly got themselves boxed in after the PH fiasco , so they will most certainly be very careful about how they proceed into the future .
Good , bad , or neutral , they will have to break cover soon .
AF, JF and BAGO maintain my belief in a positive outcome .
Is anyone else frustrated by complete lack of reliability with their connection to the LSE threads ?
Their apologetic ~ " OOPS , something`s wrong ." ~ message is becoming the norm when I log on .
Can`t they fix it ? Seriously VERY poor .
Djm ~~~ IF _ 38 had failed , the Company would have had to advised the market by now .
Tucker raises that interesting issue regarding `Takeover` again , which might explain the silence , the share price and the Solo connection .
So often shareholders are disappointed by takeover price v`s expectations .
However , from 5p there will likely be a sizable rise in price . imo..
to see the sp drift off after such a successful meeting at the Globe . Typical AIM , sell any news .
It`s hardly a big sell off , volumes have been light so I suspect that potential investors must feel that there is still plenty of time to get on board before spud . We also have the Election , the Brexit issues and I suppose the Christmas holidays looming which may also be acting as a short term deterrent .
This time we have measurably different circumstances surrounding the February drill and I think when FOMO does eventually start to kick in we will see a much more dramatic rise than we have in the past .
Perhaps we will drift a little bit lower , but I really would be disappointed if we were not at least around the 2p level by the time the drill starts turning .
Torham : I totally agree . Very well expressed .
On a slightly less complementary note , I would say that you would have to be a slice short of a sandwich to talk your investment down , and probably more seriously medically challenged to do this almost on a daily basis .
Alternatively these people may not be invested , short or looking to re-enter, (despite their protestations ) in which case their behaviour is dishonest in the extreme . Whatever the truth , their integrity might be found in the sewer ~ imo .
25p Might be just a lttle ambitious , but assuming success at 38 i do think a return to the mid teens is easily possible .
I`m sorry , I just understand what you are saying here :
~~~ " the slow drop afterwards while WR30 extra 2500M drill to get in the Uppercret will be long and slow of news but less of a decline than the fall froValues abouve that level. "~~~
Fantastic commentary on what was obviously a very enjoyable and informative event .
`Thanks Giving ` here ~ ( As a Scotsman it is of no interest to me .) I also find much of their `Traditional Fare` nothing short of ~~~ err ~~~ RUBBISH !
Yanks and Haut Cuisine are comparable to Rattlesnake and Cranberry stew or Puffer fish and Pumpkin mash ~ so it was a very welcome diversion to read all your messages , opinions and recollections of interaction with DW and SS with a decent bottle of French Merlot !
Thank you all for the information . It seems as if we need to remain just a little more patient . So ~~~
`I wouldn`t want to be out of this during the next four months !`
~~~ and I wont be .
I`ll be `giving thanks` to one of the Founding Fathers in April when we have proof of project and the share price is between 7p and 10p !
