Carp king, you’ve been a member since 2009. Surely you have seen institutions trade in ways which are incomprehensible before. A bird in the hand, and all that, plus if investors are pulling their funds out they need cash. Given that they must surely have a diversified portfolio, I would guess overall it’s looking pretty sick. If 9 stocks plummet and 1 bags, it becomes a disproportionate element, and instils usually have cast iron rules about that sort of thing. Th3 risk and compliance managers would b3 all over it.

Octopus had 4.44%, which was 6.66million shares. If you add the two big sells together, that’s it as near as dammit. So that was Octopus exiting in one go. Oryx have been drip feedings sells in comparison.
In any event, Octopus are completely out, and Oryx must be close to it, if not there already, but the appetite for the shares have seen a good solid rise regardless. Better now than them both trying to sell the lot in one fell swoop at a higher price, that could cause a cratering and much greater volatility.

After today, I’m not sure Oryx can possibly have enough left to keep up the selling through tomorrow. We’ll know before the weekend. Which, by the way, I would not want to be out over.

Pumpky, if you check the Omega share price box on the summary page, it’s showing almost 12.5million volume just for today. And it’s not even midday yet. So 30 mil over the last 3 days is entirely possible.

Of course there is a big holder selling. It’s Oryx, and it’s all there in the RNSs. They were down to about 8.7m at cop Tuesday. Prob around 6m at cop yesterday. Given the volume today, their daily 2-3m sell will be finished soon. Then we’ll move up again.

Yes, it’s very similar to last Thursday. Price goes up, then plateaus for the rest of the day. It’s not as volatile as other pharma stock. Yet.

Possibly that sell has been worked through this morning, and it’s now cleared, so buyers now prevail.

NCYT it ain’t, sadly

The ODX sp would have been higher last Thursday, but after a brief spike up, there was steady selling through the day. One of the big holders taking profit, although not by a huge amount, the seller didn’t seem to want to sell below 18p, and there was enough buying demand to keep that price. If the seller is satisfied for now, There could be big gains this week. But if not, 18p is the floor hopefully.

Is that because the market is shut tomorrow for good Friday pumpky?

Yes, I don’t know who’s selling. Significant shareholders have around 91.5m shares here out of the 150m, so there are several possible candidates. But the buying has been steady and consistent. It will clear at some point.

They did a placing last Sept, so might be whichever institution took a chunk then.

As Dibs61 noted, there is at least one big sell being worked in the background. But the market is soaking it up without tanking the price, in fact it’s edging up even with the headwind. Once it clears we will go up.
