I understand why people suggest that this may just be a time limited thing for NCYT, but actually, the Government want the capacity to deal with any future pandemics. Like having a standing army in case you’re invaded. It’s an investment in protection.

If anyone here has Steve Brine as their MP (Winchester) he should be interested as the PrimerDesign plant in Portsmouth is in his constituency I believe. MPs tend to ignore messages from people who aren’t their constituents.

I’ve been a bit ambivalent about whether NCYT would get taken over. But with this endorsement today, a big pharma would be buying strengthened contacts and trust with many many governments around the world. I know that’s intangible goodwill, but in the current situation, really worth a huge amount.

But not once does it mention ‘global warming’ still less ‘man made global warming’, and if you seriously think Trump (Chump as you like to call him) in pointing out WHOs blatant shortcomings will include him persecuting NCYT because it has a French Connection, I honestly think you are letting your biases cloud your judgement.

I hasten to add I am no fan of Trump, but if the Left do not like the rise of popular politicians they need to work harder (much harder) to stop pursuing such obviously unpopular policies. Democratic politics means you need to at least make an attempt to reflect the views of the general population.

I’ll make my own predictions, if I may. This virus ain’t going away, and finding a vaccination will be very difficult. This new line of work will remain for NCYT, which will be around £10 a share by Xmas, unless it’s taken over, probably for around £7 a share in the near future.

I honestly don’t think there is much point in trying to score points between NCYT and AVCT. There is plenty of room for both to do well. This new virus isn’t just going to disappear, it’s here to stay now. You could imagine a world where, say, health care professionals, educators, police, etc, public sector workers who have face to face contact with the public, all need rock solid testing maybe annually. And a need for quick tests for any large public gatherings.

What does seem to be demonstrably the case is that NCYT is much further along the monetisation curve, in having a proven product which is already being manufactured and shipped. If you consider the relative positions and then look at market caps, I think right now NCYT is the more undervalued.

Who is going to buy shares in a rights issue at 30p when they can buy in the market at 22.5p? It has to be at a discount - maybe 15p. Doesn’t sound so attractive now, does it?

Haven’t been keeping up with the board so apologies if I’m repeating what’s been said. I’m very interested to see what tomorrow holds. I never thought there’d be some sort of price collapse following the placing, but I didn’t expect us to rocket up today. Can’t wait to see what happens, and if there’s any news.

If you are ever worried about making a trade TSSZ, don’t do it. For Avct, I would wait until tomorrow. I don’t believe the share price will go down appreciably because I think the placing is already priced in, and forward sold to the extent that it’s going to be. But it is unlikely to bound upwards steeply tomorrow, although it could rise with the placing safely out of the way.

If you are dissatisfied with the price on offer tomorrow morning, I’m sure there will be another tempting trade along in a bit.
