BBC reporting that Ryanair currently offering £5 flights to "Amber" countries. Totally irresponsible. Thousands of people milling around in airports and no social distancing on planes and God knows where they've been or come from. I can't see why this is being allowed when a week ago we couldn't even step in another person's house. Govt need to make all travellers to Amber countries to do hotel isolation. The Indian variant is just starting to multiply and there will be more variants to come. Absolute madness.

I see it's 4 months since last post here and SP is up 8.7% since then. Good progress so far this year for this slow burner with a very good management team. Once world economies start re-opening towards Y/E this should benefit. Good to see it on ii top 60 funds list. Hopefully with a bit of patience UEM will revert to mean and pre-Covid levels of 240p. If it takes a bit longer then I'll just keep reaping in those decent divvies.

Dunno about capex but I was in our biggest city centre Primark 2 days ago and I was the only customer in there. First few days after retail opened were good but now footfall is awful. Online seems to have taken away so many customers.

I've been 35 years plus investing, 18 years professionally. This is such a no brainer price and it won't be around for long. I need to start looking to sell other stocks to scalp a few quid more here on BOO. Must admit I have a laugh at all the "advice" on here. Buy on dips , sell on the rise. Easy money.

Fundamentally Boohoo remains a structural growth winner and the recent purchase of brands from Debenhams and Arcadia provides it with an even bigger opportunity to grow market share across a broader demographic. There are signs brokers are warming to BOO after the supply chain woes of the past and the significant efforts to address these issues. I think the current SP is undervaluing BOO and I fully expect to see £4.50 in 2021 and will add more on any SP falls. Next few weeks will be interesting.

RNS. Strong update. SP touched 988 today then fell back. With LLOY results showing economy recovering better than feared should help advertisers in long run. Expect to do well in 2021.

Agree - results looked good to me but markets didn't like them. I guess SP taking a breather after recent rise to 68 and gaps being filled.

Jeez - that's one helluva rights issue compared to its Mkt Cap. After Carillion and Interserve I wonder if they'll raise the cash. The sale of KL will offset the huge debt a bit but things looking very risky for KIE going forward.

Good to see AZN above 75 quid and the UK economy opening up. The UK vaccine programme, dominated by AZN jab, shows that cases, hospitalizations and deaths are vastly reduced. AZN is winning the battle with Covid. Other countries should take note.

... the article states possibly a few hours or a few days per jet. Fact is - yet another problem with Max 737. You wouldn't catch me flying in any of these planes.

Airlines pulled dozens of MAX jets from service a week ago after Boeing Co (BA.N) warned of a production-related electrical grounding problem in a backup power control unit situated in the ****pit on some recently built airplanes.
Since then, suspected grounding problems have been found in two other places on the flight deck, the sources said.
These include the storage rack where the affected control unit is kept and the instrument panel facing the pilots.

Today's results are a mixed bag. I was expecting better sales and a smaller profit decline. To improve sales by 8% and profit to fall 20% is quite alarming. However the Covid costs are a one off and going forward the next year should be better all round. Staycations should help boost sales/petrol. The massive rise in online will fall away to some extent, but many customers will have enjoyed the experience and will stay online for the longer term. The Clubcard prices campaign has been great and encouraged many younger and price conscious consumers to join the scheme - this should continue. Definitely one to keep (for a year at least) and to enjoy the divvies and prospect of better profits in future.

I see that Russia is building up troops on the border with Ukraine and making threatening noises. Perhaps Putin wants to see what Biden is made of. This could cause POO to rise.

As I expected, 900 breached ... now April looks set to be massive. All I hear is that pubs are fully booked out from April 12th through to June. Summer Staycations will be sold out too. Also good quality property portfolio is a nice hedge.
