Nah, absolute tosh. Some flights may be full but so many flights have been cancelled it's no surprise that some are full. However, I don't believe Mikey's hype. Colleagues and pilots I know are saying the majority of flights are empty. Most flights are operating at a loss because the price of a flight this summer is cheap as chips. If demand was so high the prices wouldn't be so low. Just go on the website and see for yourselves. Seems Mikey can't give 'em away but has to keep flying popular routes on a skeleton basis or he'll lose the slots to competitors. Once this summer's true figures come out the SP is gonna crash big time and catch a lot of people out. I'd recommend selling and take what money you can before the cack hits the fan.

Qzqz - some time yes, but not now and not so recklessly. Having seen the hooligans in London last Sunday I'm not so sure I'd trust people to "behave responsibly".

Not just the rise in Covid cases and deaths but also the EU proposals for taxing aviation fuels may be having a detrimental effect on SP. When UK opens up we'll see a huge rise in infections which is obviously what Boris wants to increase herd immunity levels. However it will back fire and cause lots of avoidable deaths and a future lockdown. The medical scientists are being largely ignored as Boris caves in to his right-wing nutjobs. Many of the venues around here already gearing up for big parties next week - Happy Freedom Day everybody.

Sympathies appreciated. He works in a pub that was rammed for the last 2 footy semi finals and England Ukraine game. Although he caught covid in early June and was 1st jabbed in May and he wears a mask all the time at work he still caught it again. Once sat down in a pub customers can remove mask and when England score a goal lots of shouting singing and jumping around and beer flying. More likely though IMO is that he caught it from co-worker as they are closer together for longer periods than with customers and space is tight. Also on such low pay these workers cant afford to isolate 10 days and may go to work even if they have symptoms. Even he went to work with a slight cold (which we now know was actually covid) and may have accidentally infected others. Now he has to isolate (again) and gets £95 SSP instead of £700 if he'd worked. Look forward to the BBQ where I can give you tips on BOO, MER and many others. We'll all be double jabbed and bursting with antibodies by then.

Future good with gov. mad on re-opening everything, staycations, weddings , etc - all stuff that fills FSTA's coffers. Fullers pubs with Euros footy will have done a roaring trade last few weeks. Confident trading update. Patience will be rewarded.

Yes, thank-you DT ... my first advice is always to drink heavily. Regarding travel the gov. has decided to let us all get covid - that ole devil called herd immunity is back on the agenda. Therefore you are statistically far more likely to catch covid in UK than anywhere else so you might as well go abroad and have some fun, maybe bring back a variant as a souvenir. However be aware of the costs and hassle and that each country has it's own rules on tests/isolation. The overall cost will be far more than the plane ticket. By the way, facemasks have very limited effect, I never use them but it provides a good distraction from the real issues and makes people feel safe. Of course if you are a Tory or involved in football then the normal rules don't apply. The golden rule though is wear clean underwear and never fly Ryanair unless you're really poor and have no luggage and don't mind sitting next to fat drunken chavs.

PS My son just caught covid again (this is true) and I have told him to go and find work in Carbis Bay immediately (this is also true). So, looks like I may spend a few days in St Ives this August - anywhere near you DT? Maybe I could pop in for a cup of vitriol or a pint of Betty Stoggs.

So ... 2 months ago with 2,000 cases a day the gov. were tightening restrictions. Now with 32,000 cases a day and projected to go to 100,000 cases in August we are (on July 19th) removing loads of restrictions. Hmm, all sounds a bit crazy to me. I guess the gov. are back to their original idea of just letting Covid rip through us all and cross fingers that the vaccine works well enough for most people.

Turnaround taking longer than I expected but not surprising for a fairly illiquid share. Debt is at much more acceptable levels and work should improve over H2. Divvies will be back (I hope) soon. Will hold until Y/E where I will dump if not seen a decent SP increase.

So Boris has spoken and we will leave it to the people to decide (aka let the virus rip). Why not get rid of speed limits on roads as well and "trust the public to be responsible". The consequent rise in cases (Sajid Javid already signposted 1,000 a day) and not closing schools will be a huge petri dish for new variants. Maybe (probably) one variant will emerge that is unaffected by the vaccine and we'll all be back to square one. Massive gamble by Boris and lots of avoidable deaths to come.

Well done England. The BBC is has confirmed that England's win over Ukraine pulled in a peak TV audience of 20.9m and 81.8% of available viewers. Ukraine v England is now the most-watched live TV event of the year, with a further 5.2m tuning it to the broadcast across BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport online. The semi final (England vs Denmark) is exclusively on ITV and should do even better. The final is on both BBC and ITV. World Cup 2022 starts in 16 months with qualifiers resuming in September. ITV has exclusive broadcast of the England qualifying games. All this hype should feed into increased revenue going forward.

DT - difference between BOOHOO and RYA is that BOO makes a profit and sales keep going up (up 90% in 2 yrs IIRC) but RYA makes a loss and passengers down 80%. When will Mikey be back to the markets with his latest laughable passenger forecasts and asking for more money? Anyway, good luck on getting 20€ on RYA - hope you get it before it's too late.
