It’s likely a reflection of the London market ALGO’s. How else can analysts explain away a 40% discount in some stocks compared to US peers.

The market is based on buying and selling. There is no handbrake for value. Hence with macro worries like Ukraine, the US debt ceiling, the banking crises, inflation etc Then factor in higher rates taking money away from markets then there isn’t the volume of buyers needed.

So the MM drops the price to a level that attracts buyers. 6 months ago that would be 110 today it’s 90p ‘tomorrow’ it could be 70p or 120p. Who knows. It’s just how things work and can often have no bearing on the company.

I have a longer term view here and am fortunate insofar as currently my divi income over the year has just about pipped the drop in share price. I will probably re-invest the next divi’s as I believe this price is a huge buying opportunity for the longer term.

When things improve and buyers return shares tend to spike up quickly.

I have read all I can on DEC and have been in email contact with the company. I am confident in their model. The income. The ability to pay off debt and the security of their dividend. Hence I will likely reinvest my income over the year.

However, I do not expect the SP to jump back to 140p in a blink but I do think in the longer term gas prices will pick up and we are near the bottom. If DEC stays in the 80-110p range giving a 13-20% yield then you get your money back pretty quickly!

In a few years time things could look very different and this may prove to be a huge opportunity. Meanwhile we get well paid to wait.

Q1 prod rose 53% y/y to 2139 boepd driven by inclusion of Nat gas from coho….

However vols we’re down 4% on quarter due to 11% decline in coho prod to 5.1mmcfd, partially offset by 1% increase in oil output to 1285boepd.

Goes on about finance positively …comfortably positioned through first gas at Casca..

What Txp misses out on the lower pricing of gas will be more than made up for by Casca

Royston 1x looking forward to the 3x test of overthrust sheets…will determine reservoir capability

LEX are continuing their run. Unbelievably I held from a tad over 2p and sold around 4p as they were running out of cash. But the management there have kept on delivering. It’s also US based gold expo which is better. Shows there are the exceptions in microcaps where some shares actually go up! Now over 8p.

PXC not sure if anyone holds. I have a few having traded them. Their finance is imminent. They are raising funds via a non dilutive copper bond. Well funded until 24 and are sat on huge polymetallic assets in US including PM’s. SP may be about to have a little run back to 30-40p. Of course without substantial finance the story doesn’t count for sht but IF they pull it off the rerate will be huge! The copper story, US infrastructure and US critical metals play will then factor in They also have a good management team. Not many shares for a miner. Worth a PUNT.

I remember bagging a little on a trade there. I was always dubious of the tech claims, telecommunications was my apprenticeship, but I never expected such a fall from grace! I was last in in the 40’s now in 3’s!

Just saw this on the fallers board. WTF! I was only in a short time 40-44p from memory on a momentum trade. I never expected to see it this low!

We have a track record for pssing in victims in the UK from sewage dumping to infected blood.

you get the gist. it’s a great note. sp target seems excessive but brokers always are. if anything it gives one confidence that the broker reads the balance sheet and opportunities same as many investors have.

BoA says stock pickers are emerging in US!

“ Investors are snapping up single stocks and moving away from index funds as they target buying opportunities in the US equity market.

Inflows into single stocks cumulatively have climbed to $25 billion on a year-to-date basis while, outflows from exchange-traded funds have reached $9 billion – the widest gap since the global financial crisis, Bank of America Securities said in a Tuesday note about flow trends.

The figures point to the "first sign of a stock picker's market since 2008," Jill Carey Hall, who leads BofA's small and mid-cap strategy, said in a weekly update capturing activity among its clients.

Tech stocks are drawing in the most investment money so far this year. Shares of mega-tech companies have climbed recently following better-than-expected earnings reports, with the batch including Apple and Microsoft and Meta.

The S&P 500 Communication Services sector is up 22% this year and the Information Technology sector has gained 21%, stronger than the overall S&P 500 index's 7% rise.
