There is a difference between simply hyping a share with no just cause for doing so and laying out a case for a considerable re-rating. There have been numerous recent podcasts and other articles from those with long experience of investing in the mining sector making a case for RMM to be at a much higher market cap. Do I think that ten or twenty times the sp is likely soon and should we be talking in those terms? probably not. Is there a good chance that we can reach the point where the CEO is incentivised to get the company (1.25p) by year end? Very much so.

If stock markets were rational we would all have made our pile long since and be basking in luxury :-)

Yes, there's a strong case to be argued. I suppose it's the old adage about a bird in the hand, especially one that returns multiple times the SP.

I saw a comment on here earlier this morning regarding ramping. I have to say that in all my experience of these boards, under different names and at different times, this one has by far the greatest number of well informed contributors, both about RMM and mining in general. Yes, the comments have been largely positive but have been based on detailed analysis of the company's prospects (no pun intended) including where relevant links to articles of clips supporting the point being made. If this is ramping then long may it continue.

On another point, whether or not shareholders would accept an offer of 5 times market cap would depend on how they viewed the mid term outlook. Even the more pessimistic members on here seem to think that 2p a share isn't so far away. I could see the attraction in taking the money and running, but if I thought that a ten bag return could come my way in three years time I might politely demur. I haven't seen any evidence of a bid although the case is sound.

Waiting for this share to take off reminds me off when my father would count to five in the hope that before he finished I would conform to whatever it was that he wanted. As he got to four he would add quarters to the count to give me extra time to come on board. We must surely now be running out of 'quarters'!

If it were as simple as just calculating figures, both for production and the cost thereof, we would all come to roughly the same result. Of course that it isn't how it works and sentiment as well as FOMO (mentioned in a previous post today) can be almost as big a factor as the cold hard reality. For what it's worth I would guess that we may be around 1.25p by year end which averages out at two hundreths a week for the rest of 2021. That's without any sentiment driven feeding frenzy. Should that happen who knows what the result will be. RMM SP may well be affected by the success or otherwise of other companies' extraction efforts....supply and demand and all that.

Glad my nephew didn't want your name on the back of his replica football shirt! It would wipe out my gains from last week. Still, more to be gained next week albeit perhaps not to 0.5p :-)

Just out of interest, when contributors are using the above expressions what time periods are we talking about? For me medium term would be 12-24 and long term 3-5 years, but they seem to mean different things to different people. Either way I won't be selling......:-)

Computer glitch?

Amused by hopetogain's 'sell' recommendation. I assume he/she means to them!

An early post today complained that the FTSE was up and Vodafone down; not anymore. I bought this share primarily to benefit from the very decent dividend return versus the 0.1% that the bank was offering. If the share price doesn't move at all (I bought at 1.27) I will still be a lot better off than had I left my cash where it was. Clearly I want some growth from my stocks but to expect a high yield and a booming share price is a bit 'cake and eat it'. For growth I look at AIM albeit there are some higher risks involved. Blue chips are about steady as she goes and a reasonable return. I suspect that will be the Vodafone story this year. Analysts can often contradict each other and leave the amateur investor no wiser than before they did their research. However in Vodafone's case there are 23 current recommendations; 18 are buy, 4 hold and 1 sell. When there is that much consensus I usually take the plunge. Maybe I'll be sorry but I doubt it. My grandfather used to say if something seemed too good to be true it probably was but, with deference to my long departed grandpa, RMM seems to be an exception. I've just bought a few million in the realistic (I think at least) hope that at worst the price can get back close to last year's high in the next 12-24 months. If the whole thing goes belly up no doubt a certain gentleman will be smiling sagely from above and wagging his finger. I've done the research and watched for a while before committing myself albeit my timing was out by a few days but ultimately that may seem incidental. Have I missed something here?

Cat: I could have written your post myself. Technical bounces and sentiment are great as is being in a growing market with a good product, but eventually you need to sell that product to keep the company afloat. I am encouraged that Leo Powell has seen fit to join the company from a competitor but will be even more encouraged if he actually sells anything. If the next bounce takes us back to 6.5p as the last one did then I will join you on the sidelines with some half time oranges.
