I am constantly amused by the flack that MMs get. Anyone would think they are running a charity the way some people carry on. They are there for their own benefit not ours, sadly. They are usually the target of people's anger when a wild prediction about that day's/week's finishing share price has proven to be overly optimistic. Overhang often features on that list too. Anything but admitting that you got it wrong.

If LO weren't obliged to issue a TR-1 today it doesn't seem unreasonable to assume that they have finished selling for now. Otherwise they could have simply waited until they had divested themselves of whatever else they wished to sell. Maybe I've missed something here; not completely au fait with the technical details here.

Noob. I imagine that the reason RMM and other small cap companies don't have large PR departments is because it costs money that is better spent elsewhere. I see that RMM are recruiting as we speak. I don't think for a moment that once news flow starts there will be much need for promotion of the company, it should sell itself.

Funny you should say that Ziege (Victor?). I have often wondered why simply expressing a positive opinion is called 'ramping' by some people. My understanding of ramping was attempting to manipulate the market for one's own benefit; usually to sell shares at a higher price that fundamentals alone would justify.

'Hoops'. I think that depends on what is being said. If there is no direct link between a post and 88 then I agree with you. On the other hand the market often looks at a sector holistically so what is happening with one company may spill over elsewhere. Things are rarely black and white (except my chessboard).

In the absence of solid news, I'll reserve judgement about whether sellers are 'out' or not. We've been up around 35 a few times of late and then edged back down. A lot of ISA money sloshing about at the moment so need to sustain this momentum for the rest of the week and beyond before I start ordering new golf clubs :-).

This is probably a naive question, but does anyone ever hold up their hand and say "sorry folks I got that wrong" when a prediction turns out badly? I have been on all the boards of shares that I own and I'm not sure I've seen it once yet.

Absolutely Broker. The SP will take care of itself when the turnaround progresses. I was amused by the specific nature of the predicted RNS. Not "next week", but "early next week"....

Rob: When you say that an update is coming early next week, is there something concrete behind this assertion or are you simply putting your hopes into writing? Why do you believe that news has been a long time coming? There was an update with the February fund raising so I wouldn't expect anything before May unless there is a one off unexpected event. My understanding of 'quarterly' is every three months.....

Some of the predictions on here remind me of the feeding frenzy during the football transfer window. A solar named tabloid will make twenty predictions, nineteen of which turn out to be complete nonsense but about which the paper says not another word. When the twentieth prediction pans out you see the headline "YOU READ IT HERE FIRST", as if they are the reincarnation of Nostradamus.

The FT guy did indeed predict 3.6p but if I'm right (and often I'm not) this was before two dilutions. His forecast would therefore have to be similarly diluted.

I hope Dr Bradbury doesn't read this board. He's been Tim and Tony already today and it's only lunchtime!
