There is 'what if' on other BB re takeover possibilities. Sentiment now comes into play. I feel any starting point would be £1 and above. My reasoning is that in the industry if CC is ticking all the boxes, is secure, a reasonable price and easy to install then many manufacturers and solution companies will be interested, additionally CC and its officers appear to be respected for their trading standards. So looking at it logically should an interest be shown I would think there would be a bidding war with the likes of Adani, Genus, Intellismart up front. I say this because the whole 250m train is being set in motion, the focal point of Smart meter is Comms which is now the priority feature that all want to guarantee available to them and not be beholden to others or prices. I thank you two. Trouble is with this share it looks good and talked up by CC then along comes a change by Government and all bets are off. However this is farthest that India with its 250m ambition has achieved and we are awaiting as to where the dart lands. I seem to remember that part of these contracts had to be underway shortly to get subsidies from GoI, so if we suddenly have 20m on the books we should be well above 50p but its a funny share and onlookers appear hesitant. Short answer dont know but could well bounce if contract declarations come along together. It is a time when I look for 7am RNS with fingers crossed, LOL.
Well empty if a company was on the decline I would agree, if they felt they could turn it around or it needed capital support. The larger investors, Funds, well off people and PI's are long term, not in/outs. If they have not moved over all this time it would take an enormous offer. If a gold mine has struck pay dirt it is not going for pennies, only my opinion. DYOR
Well empty I don't think there would a favourable response to an approach. CC has amassed a large book and awaiting the possibility of an enormous ordered book within days or couple of months. With may be a £1bn account on the horizon I think sentiment would place CC at £1,2,4+. Hopefully there is a fair chance of CC getting up to 40% of market as it seems more emphasis is being placed on RF,unless something goes terribly wrong. With past pricings of 1m units = 30p SP our existing orders should surely place us up 40-50p even allowing for the additional shares issue. Only my thoughts DYOR.
Thanks Vas, you may have beaten CC with that info. I would now like to know the flow rate of CC on bench of Genus. With all that is going on I should imagine that Genus is at its maximum; it be would impressive to know, for whatever contract, the amount of Smart Meters with CC inside that Genus is turning out monthly. We did it when we were supplying Nodes to go inside Genus meters, Genus is the centre of India meters and it would do us a lot of good PR wise, DYOR
Morning Colour. A lot happened in last year or two, share numbers have incrcreased by 50%, more delays have been incurred, etc. Don't mouth off too much Colour, didn't you say words to the effect that CC was a non-entity, with a niche market, yet we have 6 to 8m todate, with surely loads more to come. RF was going to be nothing with Cellular ruling, you even sold up and then crawled back but could not stop critising JC/CC, well if we get 20% we will be in the money and probably get much more. I suppose it pays you to have a selective memory. DYOR
In my opinion, very strong.
We may wake up from a dream but not likely. With the different comapnies, countries and products opening up I feel CC is on the brink of exploding. One or two jumps and Funds will be casting a sharper eye over CC I recon. DYOR
Don't start getting pessimistic on us Vas. Introducing the thought of 10% unless you know something. I think CC is in for 25%+ of market. I seem to remember a couple of winters back JC doing an equasion of 1m units = £20m, probably included things like HES in pricing. I have not heard otherwise from JC. If we got say 25m in next 6 months that would on loose calulations. 25m at £20m = £500m /27 months = £19m p.m.. at £12 = £240m/27 = £9m p.m.
Both good earnings, installations could probably be handled, not the most technical of jobs and many many willing to be trained. Just a matter of numbers now. DYOR
I read piece on Linkedin regarding SEP and FRAND, terms relating to Patent charges by Jani Vehkalahti, 12 Jan 2024. Interesting I did not know they existed, if anything I thought the telephone companies just charged for SIM calls. An expensive add on cost for Cellular.

Hello LTI, thanks for that. Most contracts are done on a lead and sub contract. As I have said before the only exceptions I see is Genus and Intellismart. If we were taken onboard by Genus then we are contained within their contract, no use trying to renegotiate a price when they are already producing them. With Intellismart I take it the Framework takes priority as they said they would use the Framework as they saw fit to various projects. The rest are obviously ordinary contracts but again if CC features in the main makers and main installers contracts I would have thought lesser ones would said they were engaging CC.
All that said I think we are in for a dynamic quarter. DYOR, a lot to come.
Evening LTI, would have responded quicker but just got back from a funeral. I did not say you were confused but that I was; am I correct in thinking that CC has done well out of the awards that Airtel has achieved.
Hi ITT, you may be right. I was thinking that in the early days manufacturers did not like giving the impression their meters were reliant upon others especially for the key ingredient. This has probably changed some, I said previously that now that CC has got a name in the business MM's may like to use it, remember 'CC Inside', I got a bit of stick.
Acknowledging that I am an amateur, are we now confusing onlookers with this Airtel conversation. How does CC feature in this setup. Is it good or bad for us. LTI's conclusion is good, so I take it all is well. So are the dealers still trying to hoard shares on the cheap. DYOR
