ITT, don't get so excited. Orginally CC were anticipating only a proportion of the Indian market for RF and only a proportion of that for CC. Various CC pilots have done very well and the possibilities of a larger market % grew. Cellular looked predominate and CC developed Its own Cellular (whats more a private circuit) more or less guaranteeing an SLA and sercurity. I would now be pleased if JC gave us a lecture on the difference in pricing of the 2 systems. At least we would know CC's concerns and if we could compete at a lower margin. DYOR
Hello ITT/jake. For a small company this is decidedly a cash intense industry. There definitely needs to be a lot more information coming forward from P.R. I understand the need for secrecy in early stages but if we are supposed to be a leader then it is necessary to show we are. To say we have achieved good sized contracts with various new and existing Utilities would be a good starting point. If India has ground to a halt for elections then say so. When companies get bigger you expect a rise and fall of SP with profit taking. In our case the BOD does not shore up falls quick enough with information, this leads to speculation. We got a good price for our Modules from Genus in the past and good turnover, so what is situation now, we need graphs or Bench output shown to stabilise SP. Seeing current situation and thinking we will still get good results I should imagine JC is putting together a presentation to show work in the field and a map of where CC is standing, it is election time. DYOR
Jake, there may be some that are closer than others. However I think the problem that some see is that there is still an element of knocking, wny not just pull out. Most would if they did not see a good outcome. Instead you tell us you have played the game so cool that you have never made a loss with CC. Most of us over time have struck bottom but then average out on a severe Bottom buy. JC made a bold move when he went from semi-conductors and possibly regretted it, however as arduous as this waiting game has been we are still more than likely on the brink of profit. May be an idea for you to pull out now, still a gamble although good, 50p plus or another long haul. Apart from maybe JC making in my opinion a misguided comment reCellular I feel not much has changed. DYOR
ITT, I thought we were talking Zeus up a few months back. I agree that CC should also consider additional listing, say India where Smart probably gets more attention. I think the next 2 quarters will see results. RF is predominant in some areas, not in others, and mixed in others. I still believe we will get 20-25% of overally 250m. So depending on earnings could get £600m to 1bn gross. Even with the increase of shares I should have thought an SP of 200p. DYOR
Jake, not as simple as that I would think. There may be a bit of politics going on but I cant see the logic. We have gone pretty low again on SP and now is possibly a good time to buy as apart fromthe Cellular comment nothing much has changed. DYOR
Thanks for that ITT, 10p is possibly the right time to increase. When I first came in I had about 20m shares (old money) and PI's had about 70% of company, a lot has changed. I think 50p will come much earlier with good news or we will go t*** up with bad. If we get the 20% of 250m we will do alright. Off to look at my bank balance. DYOR
Possibly strong buy. I am a bit doubtful how this dip in SP has come about, something strange. We all know from previous years that the main emphasis was on Cellular, that is why Cellular was developed by CC. So why has JC scared the willies out of new and existing Holders, by highlighting this. Hope this is not an engineered dip that will suddenly bounce back on news and a lot of shares moved into other hands. As I have said before allowing for a negative 50% increase in share numbers, which I was not impressed with especially how they were handed out, but a positive 5 hold increase from our previous 1m unit order book, I would have thought SP would be 50P. So somebody(s) going to make a killing I feel and of course balance of voting rights moving away from PI's. DYOR
Colour they are a big company so they are always going to be one of the competitors.
I am more interested in our position in India. Did JC say about Cellular to cover his own backside or is it they are biting into CC territory. Also will he make a statement regarding the 67 hirings.
Vas, I am just wondering if things are not that bad. Possibly CC India and JC got carried away, thinking everything was rosey, may be having an eye on 50% of the market, increased the staff by this dramatic amount, these new AMISPs came along looking at costs, brushed aside CCs 10 year calculations and aiming at low srart figures. JC should get the likes of MYSORE to support his figures and present them to the Utilities and PM.
Keep an eye on HPL, they are Bigger than Genus and may be the reason for Genus coming off SP peak. DYOR
Well jake,I should think most long term holders, expeincing past dips, are in at 5p or less or out.
I would not think the original contracts like MYSORE who have seen the benefits and successfully operate our system will change. I recon the cash strapped Utilities who are used to going to the lowest point of value need to be persued by our sales team, perhaps including JC. It will be interesting to what the difference is between CC per meter and competitiors. In the past I thought we were competitive. Is it the new money men who are looking for changes. DYOR
Well mcgoof I dont know about JC having a cause for concern I think we have. This was supposed to be our bumper year, and may still be, but by hedging his bets he may be damping SP. He does not say anything and then that. There needs to be another video presentation, no Q and A but very honest. How many of the 67 staff were hired, how many laid off, how much influenze does India CEO have. What was the final outcome of MYSORE, our flagship, did we get contracts for the whole area. Admittedly there were comments about getting a bigger share of market as RF became more popular but as long as we meet our basic target of 20% plus the HES etc. I will be pleased.
It is now up to JC to lobby PM Modi with his views on 10 year costs, Cyber Security, SLA's etc
Just updated reading, surprised at JC's concern, it has always been estimated that CC would get 20 to 25% of RF and more recently has been able to re engineer and do both markets. As SLA's are mandatory what lenght of time is required to prove reliance. I think what is more likely is HPL, who at one time were not meeting requirement are now with, I beleive, Wirepas getting a position. HPL are big and it may just be that the drop in Genus price was due to them. If I remember rightly CC operated with Gateways and Wirepas relied solely on mobile network. If mobiles are subject to drop out and poor security it makes you wonder how any SLA's etc could be met.
Thank you Vas for information. To my memory JC also referred to Genus 'Inhouse' in a presentation or report. We were supplying Genus on credit guarantee covering the one month gap betwween production and delivery where we got paid. As I remember Genus were then going to produce CC on the bench when making meters, JC said that ment Genus were supplying raw materials so no supply chain, to me that is a licence. Under those conditions I would not think Genus has to supply to us any updates and that JC would provide those details. Am I dreaming, DYOR
