ITT, a further thought, if we are built-in to Genus meters it could well be that CC is the only Smart Comms they want, for convenience. I take it the pricing has previously been agreed so logically we are not a subcontractor, subject to JC confirming this, if you are integral you surely cannot be a Sub but just part of production. So, this may be a big if, if all Genus Smarts contain CC then we are just part of the production line and get paid as meters are made.
Does that make sense, if so it is a guaranteed income from probably the biggest manufacturer in India. DYOR
Hi ITT, I feel CC is in a very strong position, having got itself there through various connections and quality proofs. To me the difference is that Genus a big company that can now meet the requirements of India Smart in a big way, its increasing capacity, has a near 100% product which is speedy to install. On the other hand CC does not go out of its way to say how good it is nor Genus. My only praising memory was Indore saying how good CC was and Goi Showcasing us. A little bit more P.R.
DYOR
Morning ITT, cheeky chappie, only did one buy.
Other BB, your question on 99% Genus, I do not think it is so much who can match it as to the convenience of having CC built-in. It must have cost to set up that production but very speedy to go along with the meter tests on bench. Money always comes into these things but if Genus can source materials cheaply and if CC fits all sizes (requirements) for all their RF and Cellular then that side of Smart of is covered, leaving them to get on with selling to their massive market.
Only my view.
Hello jake and Colour. I think most of my last comments were factual as well. Unless you see a fault. What do you know about BT changing over from 3G to 4G and do you think there are any opportunities for CC. Colour I seem to remember sometime back when JC was telling us about China and only having 2 Utilities you saying most of their Smart was done and they used a different system anyway. Have I got the wrong person. In the case of BI they were doing the hardware on assembly I think and CC held the Turnkey. My knowledge of IT is limited so perhaps you will indulge me. DYOR
By the way I think there were 4 buys today. About 80,000.
Hello you two, do not know what you get out of rubbishing a share that you own.
jake, if I remember when SMETS1 had problems SMETS2 was designed and Connode engaged for 'notspots'. We inherited Connode but mainly gained IPv6. 14m SMETS1 had been installed by the time fault was found so not viable to uninstal them, SMETS2 proceeded (costing half the price of SMETS1 I understand) and a solution was found for SMETS1. Be interesting to see what happens with 4G now that BT are dropping 3G. Do not know much about it but could CC come the fore.
Colour, regarding China didn't they have another Foremat for their Smart. Regarding Hexing, when were those statements made, when we were partnering them, do you know they are now using CC patents without permission. Or are you just muck raking. Either way it would be interesting to know.
Morning jake.
I must admit there are a lot of maybe's.
I think CC in China was more involved with hardware than software. Hopefully CC India are self-contained, they remotely control software I understand.
Another home angle I was just reading about companies getting rid of small shareholders because expensive to run. Could CC be mopping up.
I reckon our problem is that new investors get concerned about the time lags between information, we know it takes ages. A lot should happen between now and January, starting shortly. DYOR
Well jake I see no answer. I have tried dummies with similar results.
With this large drop, manipulated or straight forward, JC should have made a statement by now. Sentiment and worry is the order on AIM and it should be caught before wild swings, it could be shoot up in next few days but damage is done to confidence.
DYOR
Well tree has been well and truly shaken this time. Are they trying to worry out PI's as I do not think big boys are shifting. Until we know otherwise big deals should occur when Subs are announced. As we currently have a firm Framework in existence we should not be suffering SP ups and downs, is this just AIM games. DYOR.
If so somebody is about to make a fortune I feel.
Well jake, if you remember we have a supply agreement with Genus. We were supplying modules made by our contractor, we then shipped them to Genus, who paid on the knocker. We had a graph showing modules made and delivered. Surely you remember, LOL, we then I understand made an arrangement for them to be produced inhouse onsite at Genus. Apart from not needing that credit guarantee CC did not have to fork out in advance. Are you keeping up surely you remember. As we have not been told otherwise I assume this arrangement is still in force. It will be interesting to see JC's take on SP drop.
Well ITT, I am surprised you made such a statement considering the implications of suggesting that Genus is proceeding without any requirements from CC. Then you say you do not know anything about Genus. I think I can safely say they are one of our biggest Contracts, they have been in the business for many years, and have a big standing in India. CC were lucky to get in with Genus and Intellismart and will probably be the corner stone of our profits.
We do not know what is happening with SP but try not to pour more cold water onto situation if only for your 1m+ shares. I am not impressed.
DYOR
For risk takers to me a strong buy, as we know order book situation is five times the size of earlier in the year. We need an update on SP from JC although on last happening he left it until last minute that time and didn't really have an answer. jake by all that has been said CC should be in 50P+ position on these figures but we are not and that is AIM. ITT what do you mean about Genus, we know they are doing well but are a big company, are you saying they have done the dirty on us. We have not had an update on Genus from JC but you are inferring they are cheating, have you heard something that confirms that risky suggestion. CC has had a good working relationship with Genus it appears and these things take time to materialise. As you have a lot of cash tied up in CC you cant possibly be wanting it to go lower, unless of course it is coming up to monthly SIPP time. DYOR
Afternoon all, I must say a bit concerning. JC should have stepped in at the 14p mark with assurances. It would be hard to say manipulation was to blame, CC needs to make a bold statement to the market. There are obviously question marks of whether we have this strong market position, which I think we have. With existing contracts and 5m unit book we should be way beyond 30p, so what is it all about JC. We have been here before but not with all these prospects. DYOR
Could well be right colour. Hope it is not another blockage.
Just came across this, admittedly Scottish Daily Mail.https://www.pressreader.com
Thanks Vas.. In my opinion I have the feeling that is a way of dealing with the ban on Chinese companies, a 50-50 joint company but 50% is an investment company and 50% is CLP, the operations company. How does India prevent their influence on Indian pvt.
Surprised this was entertained after the restrictions.
I could be reading this wrong.
Hi Folderboy, no, I don't think you have missed anything. My logic is CC should be at 50p+ but it is not. I should think another company, may be with a bit more cash in the bank, would be taking off. Is it sentiment. To me CC has all the building blocks just a matter of the orders.
DYOR
Hello Folderboy.. Guess work, 'could' being the operative word.
I get feeback from LTI/VAS/ITT but I am trying to equate with what I understand about Genus financial arrangements.
To me Genus appears to be the biggest meter producer in India (not sure but probably), they were buying CC Smart Modules then decided to take them inhouse, likely a bold move by any company with production line costs and commitment, Genus will no doubt get millions in orders. So is CC Smart RF and Cellular the sole supply or even 75% to Genus, to me this is logical and importantly, is payment on production. Could take us into the £bn level.
I am a layman but if others can do it then so can we. DYOR
