I must admit this is where payments via Genus gets confusiing. I seem to remember that we had a graph of deliveries to Genus on monthly basis, we were then told we were going inhouse with Genus, this I assume meant we were being paid on production, RDSS was then mentioned but I seem to remember that did not affect us we were still being paid on production with Genus as inhouse. Could well have got this wrong but I am sure I read it.
Bottom line is we are getting paid up front either way and not relying on defaults.

Hi Vas. perhaps LTI or ITT can give us the lowdown on money path from Genus.
In past JC was quite precise about Genus paying for modules at the gate upon delivery before putting in meters, so imagine it should be roughly the same cash agreement.
With so many tenders current I am looking forward to Christmas.
Well Vas.. A couple of years back CC were supplying Genus with modules for inclusion in their meters, I think INDORE were part of the consignment, Genus issued a line of credit to CC so that it could cover the one month gap between making modules and delivery to Genus's doorstep and immediate payment. JC then said that Genus was going inhouse with the CC software. That's where we are I presume, so when meter is produced it is paid for.
LTI may know a bit more.
Morning Vas. Interesting but could it not be that Genus was at the coalface and CC providing the spades, LOL. A comment recently was that CC's P.R. needed improvement. Hard to do when you do not get a mention (other than INDORE) and JC wants to keep everything secret.
As I see it, DYOR at the front this time, India intends to install 250m smart meters, there are three main manufacturers in India supplying 50% of market, Genus I believe is the largest.
CC supplied Genus with Smart modules being paid at factory gate, Genus was obviously happy with CC and took them inhouse, to me this meant no outlay for CC just income, this must have cost Genus a fair amount of cash to set up so may be CC provided all smart meters for them. Genus rose dramatically in share price so why didn't CC. I assume all domestic meters will in future be Smart. So why is not CC at say 50p by this time and with this size of order book, to me logic says it should be, so is there manipulating, if so CC could well shoot up one night improving like Genus. Considering JC bonus's price of 14p+ I would not be surprised if suddenly one morning we see a 100%/200% SP jump. As I have said before Smart Comms (spade) makes a Smart Meter, nothing else I believe. I should imagine JC will enter inhouse agreements with other manufacturers keeping costs low and no major outlay there. As LTI would say, exciting times.
All sounds good LTI but I think costs come into this. At a price Thames Water convert sewerage back into drinking water. My suggestion would be to buy water from up north (the Lake District) build a main arteriary (36 inch main) down to southern reservouirs. I would even have an idea on how to keep up the pressure by cheaply running the old Victorian Style steam pumps. Would anybody be interested I think not. Wind or no wind, that is the question.
Going a little bit further does anybody know exactly what kind of sub contracts would be involved. As i see it, apart from possibly the Utilities installers and may be HES end, it is a straight forward exchange and could be supply only. DYOR
A good write up Vas. If the SLA had not been so long in the tooth the Smart Market would have been much more advanced. In most cases it takes many months for sub contracts to be placed but in case the of Genus ( in house agreement )and Intellismart (Framworrk ). and others, I should imagin CC have the advantage that production runs have been agreed, so CC meters can be produced in advance and ready for distribution. DYOR
I know AIM etc is under strain but considering how CC was achieving 26 -29p last year it is amazing that 40p+ is not now the order of the day with order book X 5 biggier and many supplied already and all of these tenders being finalised.

Trouble is Vas.this is only my conjecture. To me its all bean secret squirrel. Bihar seems to have disclosed what happened but only to extent that it happened. Genus meters were used but they made no comment. So they just wanted to forget it went wrong and all is right with the world now. I suppose we should. Hope an RNS out shortly.
Afternoon Vas.
We have had this rise and fall in SP so many times before but this time is there a bit of manipulation going on, I would not go as far as saying FIX, but considering current order book this all seems very strange.
Regarding BIHAR, there was never an explanation, or mention of CC, when via Genus we supplied, on the 'hurry up' a million smart meters to BIHAR, its not mentioned in your link. Could it be that the casual piece about Middleware (universal bus) is CC. Also reference to Middleware tucked away at end, indicating it could be used whenever they have a problem.
I am only an amateur but to me the first time round was a right cods up which Middleware sorted and can therefore be used as a Universal Hub when they get headaches.
The original problem got sorted but they were not going to let embarrassment spoil their P.R. glorification after their massive outlay.
CC must have saved the day somewhere to have had such a big, quick order, and JC said we were going to the assistance of Intellismart.
I could be wrong but there you go. DYOR
Morning.
Apart from Global Markets being down generally CC should be holding its own with all the good news in last six months, long in the tooth now but was anticipated by Christmas.
With our order book at 5m units (5 times what it was) I would have expected at least 40p.
Is there some manipulation going on. After dropping about 1/3rd I would have thought there would have been a scooping up at this point. Is someone building a stake, I would not have thought there are enough spares floating around for that. I think we need to know new total of contracts (volume) we are involved with in bidding.
DYOR
Again Colour, rubbish.
We get this 2 stage contract every time. Lead contract is issued, then we wait, we know it is going to happen. JC puts out something like Framework to try to stabilise situation, but it is still India. Nothing to do with poor management just the environment, should somebody suggest bailing out and a group of amateur SHORTS lock in then you start to slide and if too long passes then it starts to bite. As far as I know circumstances have not changed just taking far too long. DYOR
