I agree! the last lot of these i had for just 1993p !! sold out at 2800 for a nice profit but don't fancy buying at this price.

For the words of encoragement. I am not over committed in this share alone but have a much bigger holding in African Barrick Gold which lost ~17% in 2 trading days so am worried about putting more into gold stocks in general by averaging down here. I am just going to hold for now and see what happens.

Back we go to 500p. This always does the dirty on you just when you think it has settled. When this goes down it does it in double quick fashion too. I have buys at 531 and 492 so showing a 5% loss currently. Not overly concerned but annoyed i didn't sell out at 600p for good profit. One thing form looking the graphs buying at anything over 600p is really asking for trouble.

The recent spike has crashed back to earth and sat on huge losses again. I am thinking of lowering my average with fresh funds but I am worried if the price of gold falls further this will be absolutely flattened leaving me even worse off! I really wish I knew what to do. Anybody have any words of wisdom?

Were you in before the 12% drop? that was pretty severe even for this share!

Haha yeah, quite a bit to go though. Still i've been in worse scrapes with other gold shares. I held ABG with a 25% loss but now 14% in profit Albeit with a small top up at 492p along with the original shares at 530p Just goes to show a little patience will yield rewards.

Huge fall today, I think i may take what's left and visit wetherspoons with the proceeds, seems sensible enough to me!

Haven't looked on here for a while. I see my plan did not really work out for now! the bugger has bounced back not far off what i sold for! I am still confident we will see another financial crisis soon enough there is plenty out there that will see the FTSE100 ducking for cover and hopefully i will load up on cheap shares!
