Looking at graphs this has mirrored its parent company in recent times. Even with the increased dividend it is still a traders stock and can not be considered an investment. Over the last 2 years i have been in and out of this and i can honestly say every time i have bought it has gone lower for one reason or another it never fails to dissapoint. Thankfully I have recovered my investment by averaging down and the 50p spike cut my losses enough to get out.

Shes starting to take off!

A summer it does not make.. Decent rise but really need a week of days like this to get back to my b/e. Chances of that are very slim i think.

Again. Will we see the record lows, i for one hope not

I held allied for a while and bought in two tranches and and lost out on both times! Eventually i bailed out at 121 with a loss but it could still have been worse if holding today. It's funny how you always hear of 'undervalued shares' but why does it keep on going down? I have seen buy recommendations on Yell at 10p now you'd be pretty much wiped out.

Haha yes well remember the Glencore IPO 520 was it? fancy paying 520 today? ;-0 Seriously though the FB valuation has a bit of a dot com valuation to it, if revenue from advertising falls how else can it make any money it might even do a yell !. Good to see Gold baouncing back a bit even the perennial slug ABG put on 11% yesterday.

I haven't read it. Though Kane and Abel were biblical figures? maybe i'm wrong on that but i do know i've lost a ton of cash on lousy gold stocks and i wont ever put another penny into the precious metal sector. If this goes tits up then so be it. At the rate it's going we will be at 0p in a few months anyway. I heard the world is ending in 2012 so maybe people are cashing in thier gold and having a good time, maye thats not such a bad idea rather than fighting these lousy stocks?

I'm worried the gold price could plunge on a greek default as traders would sell gold to cover losses. Gold has not been such a good hedge of financial instability as i first thought. still live and learn.

Thing is at any time in the last the 3 months we could all say this is cheap, thing is it just keeps on getting cheaper! Fair to say tough all my shares are down very heavy today but gold stocks have been out of favour for so long i wonder if it will ever turn around.

Hey dude Glen in sub 400 again usually good for swinging, may wait a bit more though anything around 370. Still wrestling with this then hopefully gold stocks will come good one day, they have only robbed me

Lets hope so! I have compared the 3 month graphs of this to POG and CEY, last 2 days of POG aside the graphs are similar a real horror show for investors.. At least this seems to have stopped the rot around 350 and in my experience a period of consolidation after a steep fall usually indicates the next move should be up, fingers crossed!

Lets hope they dont flog off their stake here! although they do own 75% i think.

Maybe my buy at 348.8 was the signal ! lets hope so. Still gives an me an uncomfortable average of 422 but it's over to this to perform now as i'm not going to throw more good money after bad if this sinks again.

Need a miracle to get out of this.

Dosen't seem to be many good points reading through all the broker downgrades and sell recommendations. Still maybe this is the darkest hour before the dawn, we can only hope if your holding these.

Rumours on iii that the 3 monthy figs rleased later this month will be bad only 153000 ounces. This maybe incorrect but dosen't look good for us at all if true.

I'm not going to lose my sense of humour, that can be fatal dealing with a share like this! I've bought Desire Petroleum a week before they drilled a dry well, and lost 66% on allied gold,I will go down laughing whatever! :-)

God only knows the bottom for this, maybe it has no bottom at all :O unchartered territory fo this now but surely at some point it just has to go up or we may as well think of a number between 1 and 360

Well averaging down has got me out of trouble with this share before, as i held a lot last time it went down to 400 p and managed to get my all money back. This time i have less shares but who knows where the bottom is and i don't fancy throwing goodmoney after bad if it keeps falling. done that too many times before on some dogs and this is a dog alright.
