If anyone watched the clip of Johnson spreaking today on the link above, I draw your attention to some key parts and my read on them:

a)Right at the start, about 5 seconds in, he talks about hoping to finish things off last Wed, so there is a deal in principle already IMO
b)about 1 minute in he basically lies, and pretends we have spent 4 years preparing to trade on WTO rules (show of strength bluff)
c)1 min 25, he actually forgets the script and has to stop himself from saying we actually want a deal.

I am so sure we get a deal, don't get scared out of buying UK equities by shorters and idiots.

- Game theory, suggests in a game of rational players (yes we are rational despite the tabloid headlines) that the outcome of binary tree decision making scenarios is a deal that maximises the positive outcome for both players..that is a deal
-Secondly, if No Deal had ever been desired, we would have prepared more.
- Thirdly, to keep extending talks in the face of perceived irreparable differences would be totally illogical.

The betting markets have just made a massive correction to the frankly ridiculous odds put out on Friday, now 1/2 for deal this year 6/4 no deal.

This is a side issue for this share long term, in reality either way this bank will not stay at current discount to NAV forever, the only thing current circumstances are impacting is the timeline to SP recovery. In the short term, the deal would more the price circa 10-20% IMO. DYOR
