I've been accumulating some in my Etoro account (maxed out my ISA now) and also noticed if you check the price of THG on Etoro its currently 38.44 and has constantly flickered between 43 and 38.44 since 3rd Jan . Must be low liquidity on Etoro

High st is in long term decline. The future is retail parks. A few opened the last 5 years near me, basically always seem to be Currys, Pets at Home, TXMaxx and DFS. I guess some products have benefits of viewing in real life like TV's/Sofa's etc and offer additional services on site like PC Repair or Pet Grooming.

I know people have been talking about high st footfall has fallen but does that take into account retail parks?

As expected we are getting lowball offers for the company. Great news but my average price is 115p so not much upside for any holders the last 4 years.

With two bidders we should hopefully see some upside to the buyout. Let the bidding war commence.

The shares have been removed (like a buy-back), so the per-share metrics of THG have improved which should help price.

It does seem manipulated. I do wonder how long they can suppress the price for whoever is doing this. So many re-rating catalysts, such little time

Undervalued shares mostly always have risk attached. As a new investor who has been accumulating in the low 40's. I think the RR here is decent. I find it very unlikely the merger won't be completed and I think FTSE 250 inclusion and FCF positive will eventually cause a re-rating post merger. It seems a fairly low risk bet right now, how much lower could it go when you work out the financials post-merger, if it stays at these prices surely there will be a buyer for THG.

Why would they increase short when they are going to have to pay a hefty fee when the split happens? If anything they must be rushing to get out or at least buying up to counter their short allocation.

I think we have hit the bottom here last week. Maybe a fall today after budget but I think this is priced in to most AIM stocks now. For me this is a long term buy and hold, great company and move to FTSE250 next year will help.

Interesting article from him. He is basically saying ALL needs to go private or be bought out to make it viable.

Been digging into YouGov quite a bit recently and seems a good long term buy at these prices but seriously they should really move away from AIM and get a Main Listing so they can get a FTSE 250 Slot. The fact they haven't done this yet when it would obviously benefit a large company like YouGov is quite puzzling. Are they planning to list in US? A company of this size now they have CPS Gfk should be on a main market.

Might not be what you are after but if you hold a short on trading platforms like Etoro or Robinhood and there is a company spinoff, it works the same as a dividend. You will have to pay an extra fee which equals the value of the new spinoff shares you are shorting. Assuming (Etoro) will choose max allocation for Remainco (since you can't hold private companies on those trading platforms) then it will charge shorters the total value of the shares given after the split.

THG seems like a good buy now, undervalued and value split can double up for some gains here but I am scared with everything I've heard about Matt and the execs on this board. I don't want to get swindled like I have in other stocks.

Lithium is bottoming, could take another 6 months to cup out but this is great timing. US Lithium shares up 10%+ the last few days due to news that China will close Lithium mines, and now we got permit news!

When commodities start reacting upwards to closures, its a sign the slump doesnt have much more legs, now it Li could trade sideways in a range but can't see it falling much further.

It was a great RNS. Annual loss has halved, Boom Battle Bar revenue has tripled, buying back 8 boom sites for full ownership. We see profit margin at -1% from -12% only two years ago. Next years annual results and I think we see strong chance of profitability. Hopefully they start reaching scale to reduce costs too. I don't know why the share hasn't increased that much, it was quite bullish in my view.

Sharebel tired of ramping Guild Esports for the past few months and has decided to de-ramp Helium One. (scam company that is going bankrupt and hasn't got a qualified pro team that can realistically compete for anything and throws money down the drain with fake DEI initiatives).

Overall, this is positive medium-long term. If its not obvious by now, this is more of a trading share rather than one that prioritizes shareholder value at this time which makes sense to me. Likelyhood of one of those side-ways aim stocks that gets bought out in a few years. Even though, my system has flagged this as a screaming buy at 1.24 so I got in at 1.31.

Two stocks got notified in my system for a trade, Helium 1 and Atlantic Lithium, will take a small bite out of each.

Just sharing my opinion here. Its very obvious when someone is being disingenuous like we have seen in this thread and we can easily see the falsities from the truths.

I have been receiving a dividend in my HL account from Shanta and have proof of such, so even if this analyst is "respected", he obviously didn't do enough research or due-diligence to justify any opinion on the SP and real worth of Shanta when he claims that they have not returned "a cent" to shareholders. As others point out, there are other incorrect statements by that "analyst" which got, unsurprisingly, ignored by the one who posted the "analysts" comments.

I spat out my tea when I saw the news of the buyout price.

Clearly against shareholder interests and the true value of the company. After seeing the connection Patel has with the bidding company, I smell corruption at the behest of shareholders. We shouldn't encourage or allow this market behaviour in the UK. I will be voting no with my shares. Total shame

Ten Entertainment (TEG) The owner of Bowling alleys, Modern Arcades, Escape rooms and Laser Tags has been bought out by a US Private equity group for a 35% premium to the current price (still a bargain imo).

Further shows how undervalued UK Alternative entertainment companies are, this 100% applies to XPF too. Glad I bought last week and continuing to add whilst its this undervalued.
