@Drax, apart from the two companies they're in discussion with specifically about Stonechecker? Certainly agree the rise in SP on FDA was overcooked, but long term the value in AI medical analysis SW is huge.

The Company would not have to announce any information about potential discussions until there was a formal offer, the directors however would be insider and would not be able to trade shares along with anyone else knowing discussions were on-going. Only when there was an offer that the board agreed should be presented to the shareholders would an announcement be made. If the board thought discussions had been leaked then that would also warrant an RNS. In short, no RNS required IF discussions are happening, of course nobody here knows, pure speculation, but speculation that's worth discussion as it could be valid given the stage and value we are at...

@ safy, of course they want to be bought out, the II's dod not invest on the assumption that Genedrive would become a global diagnostics business, they would have invested on the basis that at some point they'd be bought by a global diagnostics business... that's simply what happens more often than not.

I agree, small tech companies always want to be bought, it's what the IIs will want as their exit. There will be a sweet spot once covid sales hit and the commercial opportunity recognised. My guess is that one of the business currently involved will be lining itself up and of those Danaher is probably best positioned.... let's sit back and watch the show :)

@Callia, the mortality rate for seasonal flu is about 0.1%, compared to 5-6% for people with COVID-19. When you say this is a con I don't think you necessarily grasp the potential of this disease. Lockdown has been successful in reducing the spread of this disease and has limited the impact since 95% of people have not yet been exposed to it. I suspect you are lucky in not having anyone come down with the disease, but it is not a con and it is a real threat to world health.

@danger, it certainly will be. For me it's nice to be invested in something that will have an impact on the quality of peoples lives, exciting times ahead.

@danger, I suspect in the next week or so and hopefully July will be a great news month but these organisations are a law to themselves.

For me it's all about market cap, this has been a period of consolidating that position ahead of commercial news flow. Trading has all but disappeared as people wait for the news. Share price will drift down as people get 'twitchy', unfortunately those are investors who can't afford to wait fro whatever reason.

Once commercial sales news starts to come in then the market cap can reflect those figures. Undoubtedly in my mind this will be shown to be undervalued on those terms, how much remains to be seen.

The GHIF involvement doesn't speed up approvals, this is a process and box ticking exercise that takes as long as it takes. Our advantage is Cytiva will already be an FDA approved manufacturing facility. What GHIF in combination with WHO EUA approval means is that the test can be adopted and accepted everywhere. Again simply a process that takes time and we will get there very shortly.

@swerves don't be spreading those positive vibes here on a no news day ;-) yes GHIF - as in Bill and Melinda Gates fund takes a major interest. Once WHO approvals is in this opens up so many doors.

Company attracts ca. $5m+ from US DOD to purchase more Genedrive units and associated tests.

@solstace, I agree, something that people don't seem to have gauged, Cytiva/Danaher together with GHIF who I remind everyone now own over 13% of the business, represent some pretty heft international clout. Once FDA and WHO EUA comes in, this will represent a go-to test. Layer on top of that the point of care aspects then this is a uniquely positioned business in a uniquely massive market.

@Flying, nice find and agree, I suspect the POC system is further along, hopefully some news on this shortly too

@David, the interesting point about specificity with regard to the GDR test here was the value was derived from equivalence data, the same samples tested with another lab-based test. So although you are correct that the test detected all positives correctly and incorrectly identified a negative as a positive, there is the possibility that the negative sample could have been a positive one and that the GDR test called it correctly. I am sure that they would have followed that sample up if possible.
