The Genedrive test has many advantages in terms of flexibility that the competition don't have.

1. The room temperature piece
2. The pre dosed just add sample piece
3. But it's the end-point nature of the test that give's it the best advantages in terms of flexibility, it can make use of cheaper PCR machines to run the test and then any qPCR to just do the end-point analysis. This means for a much reduced capital outlay (or availability of what's out there already) you can quickly create a very high throughout capacity or one that can handle the ebs and flow of demand.

None of the other tests do this, that require more expensive equipment...

I don't think so, I think GDR will take up the entire supply line, thats why Cytiva aren't manufacturing these beads for anyone else. Genedrive have been using them for quite a while so they have developed a close link with them and I'm sure can sell everything Cytiva make for them! No need to change that relationship.

No, its all manufacturers. It's why they all dispense multiple tests into a tube rather than single test beads. As I understand it not many companies can manufacture these types of room temperature stable beads in volume and dispense and package them.

It's not only the bead technology it's the assembly line. I think too that Novacyt are going for the larger centralised labs in west that have robotic dispensing and where there product is accepted. They can't (and don't need to be making more) so I doubt they'll go to the trouble of developing the beaded technology.

In the long term sales will be larger than novacyt in my opinion, because its a superior product and they have the manufacturing capacity to supply larger quantities. However, Novacyt were first to market and in some territories this will represent a big advantage. I think Genedrive understand this and are going for the markets that are biggest and have the capacity for multiple vendors... Like India. This is going to be a great few weeks and I agree with others that a re-rate is coming very shortly

@peckam, mytwo pence worth, we also didn’t live in a disposable society where everyone felt the need to keep up with the latest, drive the newest and wear what’s just in.... we need to go back to a place where we’re not earning just to feed the economic monster.

Ah, so the the market cap remains the same and they automatically up the share price and you receive cash, otherwise you just receive cash and your percentage ownership remains the same - thats not the same as a dividend because you've exchanged shares.

Agree LB, share price in a strong recovery mode with 10% two days in a row and definite commercial news incoming. Still lots of delayed trades, more Dothan any other company I'm invested in. Whats that about other than lack of transparency unless others have a different understanding
