My view is that prior to news on sales then the share price is actually in a very decent position and the market cap of the company has been sustained ahead of this expected news. In that time there has been some profit taking by the original investors and the conversion of loan notes. All this during a period before news that will sustain a lot of buying in my opinion. This week could be the week that the sales strategy for the business comes to light. I personally hope the product goes out into the wider would and helps to diagnose COVID. Good luck everyone.

Can anyone point to a high sensitivity antigen test for POC that’s commercially available today? In my professional experience I don’t think that there will be one. QPCR based tests are more sensitive and At £6-£10 the Genedrive one is low cost. If anyone can point to a cheap, available antigen test then please let me know... so many things in development, most will be smoke and mirrors. LFD only good for IgG/IgM and have never been good solutions for antigen testing.

@Safy, I agree the UK really is a non-starter, not that product wouldn't be great here, its the poor implementation of testing and the tight hold PHE is exerting on what get's implemented. After this is over I suspect they'll come in for a lot of criticism and rightly so in my book.

GDR more likely to go for larger testing centres or in facilities that have poor availability of equipment but that need to implement larger scale testing. India, African countries, etc - these are our markets imo.

I am surprised Brazil isn't featuring more highly, but I suspect that those markets already identified are going to take most of production anyway.

Genedrive POC is also going to be a figure as a big opportunity for us here, saliva based molecular gold standard SARS testing anywhere it's needed....

@safy, the current 96-sample plate test is validated for nasopharyngeal swabs I think, thats more aligned with lab based extraction protocols though saliva could be used. It's the POC test that uses saliva as this is more POC-freindly than a broom up your nose :)

@plant DB on the record as saying their pointing care system is using saliva and that the evidence is that this as good a sample type. I suspect it’s why there’s a longer lead time to product availability but suspect as the ‘test’ is the same as their 96 plate product that availability will be faster than the stated end of year.

@tea it was several years ago not recently, I’ve been in this since 2016!

@older I’m not sure how long the EUA process is, but I suspect we shall here very soon. I believe a lab can self certify tests so for big labs like Quest they ‘could’ just certify performance themselves. Don’t quote me!

I’m also on record saying I sold some recently at the £1.50-£1.60 mark to take some profit on the basis that sentiment had this retracing to 80p, it didn’t.

@star WHO this morning posting about the rise in new cases in EU appearing in some countries that have eased lock down, this is not going away, but that’s not new

@tea I am a very LTH and a very happy shareholder. Sales are coming, company market cap is up and stabilised, debt converted into shares ahead of sales on many fronts. I’m not in for a quick £, I’m here for the sales to build over the coming years.

I think everyone has the wrong Friday, complain on 17th July if there has been no news, dB expected sales by end of June or early July. You’re all being too pessimistic.

Last week GHIF converted their loan notes into shares. DB said end of June beginning of July to announce sales. We are not out of time yet!

Until recently South America had amongst the lowest incidence, it's only recently it's become a bigger problem. I suspect Genedrive will be interested in all markets they can sell in to, they'll have a preference first for India and countries in Africa as they know these market well and already have large distribution channels through Sysmex and Arkray

I didn't see where they stipulated no French or Spanish but I strongly suspect they have French and Spanish covered in the existing team that this new person is supporting? They are not doing it all, they are supporting the existing team which is why it's temporary...

I read it very differently. The novacyt test was rushed into the market when there were no other options. It did well and they sold a lot. Genedrive did not have a test at that point. Novacyt are having to rewind and re-work their test because put simply it is lacking and some countries won't use it. David is a more cautious CEO and has held back until significant news is available. It's important to note that the market cap of the business is approximately where it was just before the placing. So now there is an opportunity for a correct and appropriate rise when sales figures are known and the value of the immediate opportunity is known. That will support long term share value as the other tests realise their commercial position. I think DB has been as free with the news flow as he could be. Personally. Happy shareholder!

I think the clue in in the wording, the role is to 'support' ie there is so much to do during this defined short period that they need to support the existing group. Once registrations are complete that support will be less, hence temporary. You can only do country wide registrations AFTER you have approval...
