@Scart, agree, there are orders in the pipeline which will support a much higher MC. I think people have to see the 12-month view in order to value GDR correctly. Certainly a lot of upside from current MC in my view.

perhaps we can reach a common agreement on this and work out what this RNS means in terms of valuation. As I see it we can say
> £1m per month minimum from COVID, £12m+ per year
>£8m from DOD, HCV and AIHL
So we can see clear to >£20m per year which would give a MC of ca. £100m before US COVID and ramping up of sales generation.

Agree LB, as sales are contingent on approvals and India / Africa were the stated objectives, the moaners were always going to have something to hang their hat on. £1m of pre-sales, a good start and this will ramp sharply. US commercialisation structured based on EUA

I'm guessing the initial £1m orders pending approvals is India

... orders now starting to come in, these will ramp up sharply with regulatory approvals, should see market cap rise as sales add to the bottom line. Good start!

Why is everyone expecting news tomorrow and not next week? I suspect no news until next week but I'm simply guessing. Did I miss an announcement about the next announcement, oops sorry that would be other COVID stocks :D

@magsy I disagree, you need working capital to manufacture first batches of tests. Where demand has been in the millions of tests, then millions of £s are required.

@sam, £8m buys 2m tests from Cytiva assuming 60% margin at £10 per test... If the opportunity is m's of tests then working capital is going to be needed is my guess.

One side of the fence is going to have to apologise to the other when the news flow picks back up. My own belief is that commercial discussions are happening in the background based on performance evaluation and pricing negotiation and that when these are signed (and signed they will be) that the market will be informed. With the trading update due in any time soon I suspect Mr Budd is moving heaven and earth to be able to announce at the same time... The pessimists are correct, if no sales come then the share price will move lower, the optimists are also correct, if sales come then the share price will move up rapidly to reflect the value of the sales. Realists are either pessimists or optimists in denial... Roll on next week!!

Hi BigAl, it was the first test to market so I suspect is the one people benchmark against, a gold standard is not necessarily the best one, its the one that's in place...

Hi BigAl, it would have been a test organised by Genedrive, most likely in combination with an appropriate research organisation like one of the tropical disease centres. They would have run a study comparing Genedrive against another test, likely the Primer Design test. The data shows that Genedrive identified all the positive samples correctly, sensitivity, and also gave positive results for 1 or 2 samples that the other test had determined as negative, hence specificity was not 100%. This could be because the combative test was not as sensitive as Genedrive - I say that because the Genedrive test picks up 2 targets and the Novacyt test for example only picks up 1 so the Genedrive test is less likely to call false positives.

At least we know sales are not priced into the current shareprice, once sales are announced it will be a relatively straightforward additive process to calculate what the new market cap should be in addition to the value we currently have...
