I have a feeling a lot of what is shown is short term. Lets face it the BOE cannot raise rates too much if at all if the cost of living is sapping the ability to spend in the economy. I have a feeling inflation will run for a while yet and traditionally Silver/Gold is the hedge. My own feeling is also that the dealing houses will not trade with the Ruskys for fear of being fined and so their reserves will be stripped out of world supply and the precious metals market in the West will gain. Well that's my own feeling - i might not be right but to me ot makes sense anyway.

Great time to buy Hoch with Silver just about to head north again very soon!!

Silver down all day BUT just about to break away higher again! The seesaw will continue into next week with Financials up today but no doubt down again at the start of next week!

NYSE Futures are showing higher levels today for Oils (Brent crude up over 5%) and Precious metals on Comex where Gold is now over USD2,000oz and Silver over USD26oz. Suspect with such resistance being shown in Europe the invasion has a long time to run. We represent safe haven status for a while yet!

Agree DK - Comex moving up faster now Silver 26.26oz and Gold over 2,000. Could move even higher what with the resistance to the invasion being far more effective than dealers would have imagined. This is becoming a long drawn out process and will certainly keep the safe havens and oil at increased levels. (not even considering inflation).

See us returning to form as the day traders return (from their UK financials taking a hit with the profit taking today) I see a lot of life left in the precious metals miners still to come. We are not even taking into account inflation at the moment more the concentrate in the Word uncertainty which is not going away anytime soon. Oils and precious metals all up once again.

So far today a bounceback in prices. Gold and Silver comex/ future and spot all up for both. We should see a very positive response later. The day traders who left yesterday will be back as their other shares will be falling again today.

Yep I see the day traders taking profits here from yesterdays gains and bargain hunting but this will be short lived. They will be back either later today or tomorrow I am sure. That's the name of the game it seems "buy the dips" -the World has not suddenly become a safer place in my opinion, and inflation has not disappeared either - far from it. Currency swings actually show greater gains in sterling than dollars for Silver and Gold at the moment so I am staying put and might even top up later. I do not want to take too many more profits for this year as already have reached my CGT allowances etc.

By the way converting into GBP the Gold price for the year is up over 25% and Silver moves up to nearly 7% - not bad at all. No wonder the miners are talking about good business being done!

This p[rice is subject to day trading profit taking (wish I have any CGT allowance left for the yr) I will top up later if we stay down as we are likely to come back later when the West buys the dip.
I have been watching also one of my old favourites POS - I.e. Plexus- they are so low now any small movement gives a big increase in % and I know them to be a market leading comp. in the well capping/uncapping fields especially deep sea such as with the North sea!

See life in this old dog yet! Still a long way to go in my opinion. I am staying in here, aswell as Fres, and my Oil comps. i.e.. Harbour, Tullow and Capricorn (down today due to divi annoucements, etc). GLA

Yep not surprisingly Gold is now up 16.50% for the yr and Hoch are moving / expanding into that market. This is the start of a come back yr!

I see a move to hard physical away from crypto at the moment. I need this to continue and it is good for us to respond in kind. Most of my shares were bought here when we were over £2 a share so even at todays prices this price is cheap to me!

Remember also chaps that the cash has bene growing over the past year and we now have a market where the precious metals sector is working in the normal safe haven status mode and so looking forward the future looks very brought for all of the precious metals miners which is why they are responding today. Who wants an electro currency today when the hard physical is real and worth beholding, and the electro will no doubt be less confidential very soon where the west wants to know who owns it!

Was well over £2 until recent times I see us coming back strong for some time yet!

Looks to me the results were very much underplayed but realistic on past performance however this is a massive machine that still generates a lot of cash in a stable environment add to that the current euro conflict and rapidly increasing metal prices and this share price is starting to come back now quite fast. This share has a lot of upside at the moment in this environment so it seems.

Likely to come if Sterling gets a rally too on growth and rate rise expectations -however the threat of war always supports the dollar and the USA economy is growing stronger too which might trigger sentiment. However the last production report from Hoch looks encouraging and so that might be a good call too in the longer run. I am staying out in here and will top up again if we continue the current run.

Forgot to mention as the Eastern Europe crises deepens we should ordinarily expect the USD to rise on new safe haven status. This will help the FTSE comps earning in USD such as Hoch when converting back into GBP. The new ventures also look promising as do the development in new found reserves some even from old brown field sites. As always best to conduct ones own research for ones position but I am happy to be in here.

Results did not look too bad to me in fact quite good considering the World position. I also cannot see the Gold/Silver price falling with the tensions we see in the World at the moment. Fed also meeting this week might help? Certainly this Company still produces a lot of cash in the bank and I will stay in here and might even top up soon. Aclara to me is a bonus and I will keep those too for the time being as does anyone really believe the Gold price is to fall at the moment?
