They dont necessarily get the revenue back if they pay the loan off. I understand the terms of the contract effectively state SD only need to pay out if and when they want to. There is no requirement for them to do so, they can simply hold onto the profits. Hence why the new management team want to look into the structure of the contract.

The fans stumped up nearly 10% of the vote at the EGM. The plan is to restucture the business, therefore reduce costs and cancel the onerous contracts which we are lead to believe a number of, end this season. Don't lose hope jonny, I am sure your shareholding will come good, assuming of course you do actually hold shares.

I do think failure to keep pace with the rest of Europe in financial terms has lead to a slump in our performances in Europe, although we have now stabilised in 23rd behind Belarus, Israel and Poland. Maybe we just need to accept the new world order, I think this stock is some way from financial recovery.

Dear Chum, I don’t think the fans embraced Mr Green. The most positive thing I recall seeing was a sign that said ‘Good start Green, keep listening’. Perhaps one or two did embrace him, however I would suggest the majority were rather cautious of Mr Green, and it appears rightly so. I am also cautious of Mr King, less so Mr Park, but overall cautious of all of them, until they have proven themselves. The oldco was not broke for 25 years. It was certainly constrained for 5-10 years before it was declared insolvent. The Newco has been a car crash from the start. Mr Ashley loaned to the club in return for retail revenue. The new directors have certainly made a better start than their predecessors, however that would not be hard. However lets not get carried away, recovery will be a long road. I am not sure the article reads badly, Hamburg got relegated. It’s not like you have a control group and a non-control group, i.e. if they were a private company would they have done better in the long run? Or not?. We don’t really know. I don’t think the case can be proven one way or the other. Would they prefer to be Rangers FC in the lowest tier of Scottish football?, or do they think being a private company will transform them into Bayern Munich?. Other than panicking into a rushed decision at a weak moment I am not sure it says so much. I think your lowest point is not the time to make big decisions. Wait till you have recovered, then take a balanced decision, later. German corporate governance structures are different to the UK also. Normally with a board of management (Vorstand) and a supervisory board (Aufsichtsrat). Employees normally have a rep on the supervisory board. I don’t think all clubs should be owned by fans, however I think fans should have a strong say in how they are run. I suggest 10-25% shareholding, to ensure the community side of sport is given a priority place, and I agree at least one board member should be voted by fans groups.

Then when there was an EGM, you said all the institutions would vote for the current board, that clearly never happened, how can we take your points seriously?. You said the NOMAD would resign if King took power, you were wrong they resigned while Llambias and Leach were in charge. I supported the requisitioners, and so far I remain calm. Yesterday’s RNS indicates the new directors sourced a better loan than their predecessors, who managed to burn through £70m. The statement yesterday clearly seems to indicate that Llambias and Leach brought 5 players to the club without sufficient checks in place. It seems to indicate some form of corporate vandalism IMHO, as does orchestrating the departure of the NOMAD without a handover. I don’t plan to make a substantive judgement of their performance until they have had a chance to act. Which I consider to be 60 days or so.

Salted, King and TPL will want to raise more equity to ensure they have over 50% of any future votes. The fans groups will also contribute. They will also want to water down the Ashley/Easdale block to below 25%. Removing their ability to block future moves such as delisting or dis-application. Whatever is preferred. The company appears to be running at a massive loss because of the onerous contracts Wallace referred to. We know 12 players are out of contract this year, plus Wallace seemed to indicate a number of the service contracts end this year. I don’t think the lengths they are having to go to are shocking, as we sit here every day looking at it. I am not shocked. I expected a loan from TPL. Whilst it’s not good to be in such a situation, its clearly necessary until restructuring can take place.

If your problems are short term, you don't have capital, its fairly legitimate to pull forward some revenue to allow you to restructure. In addition, some new equity is almost certain as King and TPL will want to secure their position and reduce the Easdale block in percentage terms. Its pretty obviously, however, you need to ensure the necessary savings. Llambias and Leach allegedly did make savings and Wallace was prevented. So it is possible.

Another ray of sunshine from you Salted. The club will have TV and ticket revenue from the play-offs. They can pull forward the ST's to see them over the summer an allow them to restructure. Whilst it will be a long road to recovery all is not lost. A business revue is under way, I think things will steadily improve.
